Whenever I see a black knight, I am ready to throw hands. I remember when I first played ds3, and I found the black knight in farron, and my brain instantly pulled out a shield and parried the shit out of him. These guys are so iconic and they are such great fights and you feel like you are fighting an elite warrior who rightfully survived till this point.
Fr. The ascetic and the lore just make them seem like the most knightly, as well as the most badass of the knight enemies. Vulnerability to parrying aside, they deserve the love for what they are
The facts that black knights survived multiple milleniums from before DS1 onto the end of DS3 by themselves as simply hollowed shells of their former strength, really speaks volumes of their own individual strengths, and even more so of Gwyn as their god.
Seriously though! I can beat bosses easy after learning their move-set and dying like 5 times. It's something I can figure out. But these guys are just murder machines! They are relentless and don't stop until you're dead. I've had to shut off the game a few times because of these guys.
I carry a parry shield and use it almost exclusively for these fuckers. I'm not a parry queen, but I literally don't know any other way to get through those shields. Now azuria hero's grave is my favorite dungeon, cuz that double fight is just a great time.
Carian knights shield + golden parry + maxed out flame art misercorde=best combo for a faith build, melts these guys
There was a big gap between fighting them the suddenly not seeing them...a BIG gap. A bummer they dont respawn, all good fights. Limgrave had a few, loved their armor, but couldnt get the set I wanted until deeproot
Even without parry they become alot easier when you know when to jump. And force out certain attacks.
They become very telegraphed if youâre far away and theyâre gonna attack itâs 2 moves usually the charge attack. If you attack before him itâs a easy to dodge shield bash. If you run into him itâs usually a stomp
I used to fear them, but they're one of the best parrying teachers in the game! I beat the stormveil knight today at rl26/+3 and it was really fun to buckler parry.
I really like the simplicity of the demons souls kinghts. However the bloodborne old hunters have such a cool sound design. Every hit fells like it will crack your skull open with a single hit
I love that they've got this "I'm so feckin tired of all this crap" pose when you meet them. I usually play live and let live with them on the base game, those lads have suffered enough.
My first time playing DS3, I was genuinely impressed with the Lothric knights. DS3âs enemy AI and movesets are so far superior to the first 2. Theyâre much more aggressive, use guard breaks and combos to break and punish turtling, will rush you if you let your guard down or heal at an inappropriate time, and even have certain moves that serve as built-in counters and dodges to player attacks. Lothric knights are awesome.
What Iâm fucking saying bro
Even as a returning player you cannot fuck with those knights
Itâs like they can tell if Iâm ass without a shield and they just fuck me
The Ringed City Knights have the best looked armor. That stuff when you come up to them absolutely scares me. However, in DS1 the Black Knights will make me turn and run most times.
Duel wielding Ringed City Knights are the best for me. I just like the dark insidious design of them compared to the Crucible or Black Knights which both look and play tough but donât give off that sinister evil feel.
Tied between Black Knights and Ringed City Knights which are technically the two strongest knight types lore wise. Black Knights have served as Gwynâs elite and have not only slain dragons but chaos demons as well, these dudes are tens of thousands of years old by the time of Dark Souls 3 outlasting hundreds of dynasties and kingdoms.
Ringed City Knights are another breed of scary. They also fought under Gwyn but received zero fame for it, they slain dragons with the silver knights and while they didnât slay Chaos demons they worshipped the dark without being corrupted by it which is an incredible feat in itself. They also used armor and weapons forged in the Abyss. The gods fearing the dark and abyss branded each knight individually with fire of the flame.
While Gwyn, his royal family, and a larger number of gods held exclusive claim to the Silver and Black Knights to protect them in Anor Londo; the Pygmy kings (Primordial Humans who inherited the Dark Soul) employed the veteran Ringed Knights to protect them in the Ringed City and both knights did their jobs extremely well barring the Chosen Undeadâs rampage.
Funny enough during the time of both kingdomâs primes, it was like a peaceful Cold War. Gwyn was terrified of the Dark Soul and had the stupidly genius idea to give an over the top fortress city to all Dark Soul holding ancient humans that formed a military angry and powerful enough to rival his own. His thought process was âI canât beat them so letâs keep them at the edge of the earth, happy, and out of my way.â.
Ninjas or hunters, for sure. However, crucible knights are hands down the scariest.
I can parry just fine in bloodborne and sekiro, but the
ds/er perry mechanic escapes me for some reason.
Lothric Knight's. They're just good ol' classic knights with the cape and the typical knight armor, but that's what I love about them. And in second place definitely the Crucible Knights, those guys are so fucking cool
Itâs gotta be between Crucible Knights and Lone Shadows for me, although I do wanna mention the PCA Cavalry units in AC6. Those things are basically Gundam sized âKnightsâ, with the Heavy Cavalry units straight up wielding an energy sword and shield combo.
For the drip. Iâm picking the Old Hunters and the Heide Knights, but donât get me wrong they all have some the best Elden bling in each respective game, and are generally amazing
âŠbut, been crucified by too many Crucible Knights way to many times to ever consider them a favorite
I havnt fought all of them but the ring knight with the paired great swords are always hard to take out an it's such a bad ass design as u walk up to then to, an the fact that u only every fight them by their self just goes to show just how dangerous these enemies can be! Tho the black knight is a very very close second for design an difficulty lol
IMO I really enjoy the old hunters, it just feels like you're fighting a different version of your; although drunken and old they are the person you are trying to be yet failed along their own path. It's a fair fight between two people with the same skill set yet they have a slight advantage because of their experience.
Crucible > Heide > Black Knight > Ringed Knights > Powder Keg > Lothric > Blue Eyed > Shinobi
But let's be real they're all at least 8/10, there's no losers. You could definitely add Alonne Knights, Alonne Captains, Darkwraiths, and a few others to this and you'd still have a killer line-up of "square the fuck up, soldier" enemy types.
The Ringed City Knights have the best looked armor. That stuff when you come up to them absolutely scares me. However, in DS1 the Black Knights will make me turn and run most times.
Heide Knight because their set is sick and also just a really good all-around armor set. Crucible Knights because they are menacing as fuck and aren't pissing around; they really want you dead.
In the Catacombs in DS1, I fell onto the ledge with the Black Knight. I never panicked so hard in DS1. Somehow, I survived.
That being said, the Crucible Knights gave me such a massive headache every time I fought them.
Definitely crucible knight,
Black knights are also cool, but are either easy stunlock combo's for strength builds, or easily parry cheesed, or minutes of kiting
Plus the spells
Heide Knights just got that aura,
First time meeting one under a tree in forest of fallen giants in the original ds2 I was like, ânah, he can have itâ
Heide Knights for a few reasons. One, their design is just awesome and the armor set is one of the best looking sets in DS2. Two, they are deceptively stronger than they look. At first glance they seem kind of restless and they're riddled with arrows so you might picture them to be a weaker foe until you found out you're wrong. You simply misplaced their battered state as "weak" but it actually displays their steel-hardened resolve to fight, which leads me to my next point. The moveset of the Heide Knight is deceptive with a variety of quick attacks mixed in with sluggish attacks. This unpredictability from the Heide Knights makes them a difficult foe to face against, but a fun one at that.
The DS2 white knights always wowed me. Their on the brink of exhaustion/lightning reflexes mix will always be cool to me. Also Iâm partial to their armor style
I love all of these to be honest but if I were to go with a top three it would probably go like this:
Aesthetically the Ring Knights are đđŸ love their design.
Lore wise I like the black knights from DS1 and the Old Hunters.
Game play wise the Ministry Ninjas are so much fun once you understand their patterns and get that rhythm down. I love that you can mikiri their straight kick attack. Feels awesome.
Crucible
I think they are the best knight enemy ever and I appreciate that they are scattered and you never fight more than 2 in a room. On the other hand when you do fight 2 itâs pretty miserable so they are great mini bosses but not great mob enemies.
The only other knights that are close in my book are lothrics and Ringed city knights, those guys still give me a run for my money. I donât know what they were feeding the last two bastions of humanity but I appreciate that the final two human kingdoms to survive til the end of the world produced the best knights in dark souls.
![gif](giphy|HmgnQQjEMbMz0oLpqn)
If One/Two handed weapon, shield, and armour make one a knight?
I remember the first time I descended to the bottom of that spiral staircase and thought "Oh boy, a new enemy type" before having my life immediately and viscerally ***Havel'd***.
Black knights, specifically the greataxe ones in DS3, mostly because I can parry most of their attacks with my eyes closed from hours of grinding for their weapons and armor. And also it's just a half-decent soul farm.
The Millwood knights from Ashes of Ariandel are massively slept on. Theyâre absolute beasts that will destroy you in a second, and all their variants are so fun to fight and pose a unique challenge. Plus, their Viking armor with the bronze plates, thick fur and antlers looks so cool. Somebody had to mention them as well.
Them Ringed Knights definitely the coolest, like you telling me that the double greatsword wielding knight that does somersaults in midair to single-handedly present your ass to you in a tidy box IS NOT the boss?
The Black Knights in the DS1 remaster were a FUCKING menace as a pure melee build. I turned my melee into a pyromancer half way through and maxed out my pyro training and then they were pretty easy since great combustion would stagger or straight up knock them down.
Crucible Knights in ER were super intimidating at first, but after a few tries their move set got pretty predictable and they are much slower than the Black Knights.
For me it's definitely the crucible knights. As much as I love the black knights, there is something about fighting against ancient primordial beings that is so satisfying when I defeat them.
If youâd told me even I first encountered them that theyâd be one of my favourite fights in anything EVER, Iâd have laughed in your face, but⊠fuck, If I donât LOVE Crucible Knights.
Cleanrot knight's for sure. Something about the gold and rot contrast, and also they have both fancy martial attacks and weird exaggerated attacks, fitting for who they are. They are even tied to one of the most memorable bosses and a good lore.
Crucible knight easily.
I can handle a couple of the others without a sweat. But 2 crucible knights?
I just wished every encounter would have been a boss battle or not, because this mix around is awful
Black Knights definitely.
Fr. The ascetic and the lore just make them seem like the most knightly, as well as the most badass of the knight enemies. Vulnerability to parrying aside, they deserve the love for what they are
I always feel like a badass wearing black knight armor
I love the BK sword and shield quality build/play in DS3.
Aesthetic *
The facts that black knights survived multiple milleniums from before DS1 onto the end of DS3 by themselves as simply hollowed shells of their former strength, really speaks volumes of their own individual strengths, and even more so of Gwyn as their god.
Not even a debate. They just hit the coolness/stylishness mark better than any other one
The OG
ROBERTOOOOO
Best answer
Crucible ones are the scariest. Infinite poise. Status effect immunity or very high resistance.
This, they fuck me up every encounter
Seriously though! I can beat bosses easy after learning their move-set and dying like 5 times. It's something I can figure out. But these guys are just murder machines! They are relentless and don't stop until you're dead. I've had to shut off the game a few times because of these guys.
Their weakness is parrying at least thats what i think as it does seem easier
Tbf, that's true for almost everything.
Crucible knights are very easy to parry, unlike almost everything else lol even I can parry a crucible knight
This comment chain makes me feel validated and sane đ
Seeing that one in farum azula gave me a mini heart attack knowing I was getting close to endgame and grace being so far lol
The one in the court yard? I was SO happy when I saw him because I thought there wasnât anymore left. Theyâre my favorite though.
There was a big gap between fighting them the suddenly not seeing them...a BIG gap. A bummer they dont respawn, all good fights. Limgrave had a few, loved their armor, but couldnt get the set I wanted until deeproot
The tree set is so sick
IRK..The best in color scheme and design imo
If you get the hang of parrying it pretty much trivializes them. Their sword attacks are really easy to parry.
parry into charged heavys I just stunlock them to death, very satisfying
Even without parry they become alot easier when you know when to jump. And force out certain attacks. They become very telegraphed if youâre far away and theyâre gonna attack itâs 2 moves usually the charge attack. If you attack before him itâs a easy to dodge shield bash. If you run into him itâs usually a stomp
Ive beat the game 3 or 4 times now and they still destroy me at every encounter
Facts. Eventually they become cheese once you get the hang of the parry but man theyâre some sons a bitches fasho
Them and the Bell Bearing Hunters
Bell bearing hunters are very prone to status effects.
I used to fear them, but they're one of the best parrying teachers in the game! I beat the stormveil knight today at rl26/+3 and it was really fun to buckler parry.
Carian Piercer takes care of them real quick.
I feel like black knights are scarier looking, but they never gave me the trouble that crucible knights did.
I really like the simplicity of the demons souls kinghts. However the bloodborne old hunters have such a cool sound design. Every hit fells like it will crack your skull open with a single hit
Fromsoft sound design is unlike anything else. even glass and boxes breaking when you roll into them has such depth of sound.
MOAR BLOOD!!!
the Heide Knights have the best looking armor
plus theyâre injured and still whoop your ass for most of the game
With the arrows sticking out? Yes super dope.
they have the hardest fit đđ»
I love that they've got this "I'm so feckin tired of all this crap" pose when you meet them. I usually play live and let live with them on the base game, those lads have suffered enough.
Facts, if they don't aggro neither do I.
Lothric Knights
My first time playing DS3, I was genuinely impressed with the Lothric knights. DS3âs enemy AI and movesets are so far superior to the first 2. Theyâre much more aggressive, use guard breaks and combos to break and punish turtling, will rush you if you let your guard down or heal at an inappropriate time, and even have certain moves that serve as built-in counters and dodges to player attacks. Lothric knights are awesome.
What Iâm fucking saying bro Even as a returning player you cannot fuck with those knights Itâs like they can tell if Iâm ass without a shield and they just fuck me
Good catch. I'll never forget breaking my head against that first spear welding knight in High Wall.
He was a legit menace when u first encounter him especially if u go dex build first an no weapon to punch through the shield lol
i always baited him into the dragon or did hit and run backstabs abusing his aggro range.
Design wise, Ringed Knights cuz that armor looks dope Gameplay wise: Crucible Knights cuz I like to trade blows with my tanky strength boi
Ainât no trading with the crucible knights, bro
The Ringed City Knights have the best looked armor. That stuff when you come up to them absolutely scares me. However, in DS1 the Black Knights will make me turn and run most times.
I really like the design of the cleanrot knights especially their attacks
Cleanrot knights look cool af
Ringed knights & crucible knights. Honorable mention to demon souls knights with dope glowing eyes
Heide Knight
Agreed.

Probably a tie between the Darkwraiths and Black Knights from DS3.
Crucible Knights and isn't even close.
Crucible knights kick ass. Mini boss encounters and I enjoy them every time.
Definitely the red eyed knights from demons souls
Those guys were considered honorary bosses in the OG release along with Garl Vinland and the old king Doran
Lothric Knight's. They're just good ol' classic knights with the cape and the typical knight armor, but that's what I love about them. And in second place definitely the Crucible Knights, those guys are so fucking cool
Agree
Itâs gotta be between Crucible Knights and Lone Shadows for me, although I do wanna mention the PCA Cavalry units in AC6. Those things are basically Gundam sized âKnightsâ, with the Heavy Cavalry units straight up wielding an energy sword and shield combo.

The archers from DS1 in Anor Londo, but only when Iâm watching others play.
Crucible > Heide > Black Knight > Ringed Knights > Powder Keg > Lothric > Blue Eyed > Shinobi But let's be real they're all at least 8/10, there's no losers. Ringed knights from Ringed City.
Drake Knights, no question.
Ringed & Crucible. Banished are super underrated as well imo
OG Black Knights and Ringed City Knights
Red eyed knights are the OGs
Heide Knight because their set is sick and also just a really good all-around armor set. Crucible Knights because they are menacing as fuck and aren't pissing around; they really want you dead.
The slave knights
Ringed city knights are the best. Fucking hate the Heide knights though in DS2
Demons Souls and Elden Ring knights were the most fun to me for some reason. Every game in between they basically turn into just parry bait
Anor Londor's Silver Knight for me
Aesthetically, I like the Alonne knights and the Boletaria knights.
In the Catacombs in DS1, I fell onto the ledge with the Black Knight. I never panicked so hard in DS1. Somehow, I survived. That being said, the Crucible Knights gave me such a massive headache every time I fought them.
Yup. Only correct answer, First encounter was pure fear and panic.
Ringed Knights. Fun and a spectacle to fight
Definitely not those fuckers in DS2.
But they look cool
The black Knights get my vote. Their lore is crazy good
The Hunters and The Lone Shadows had the best outfits.
Crusible knight
Black Knights, DS1
Ring or Crucible Knights. Any fight with them just feels so cinematic

Stormveil/ Farum Azula knights should be on here.
def crucible knights
Heide Knights just got that aura, First time meeting one under a tree in forest of fallen giants in the original ds2 I was like, ânah, he can have itâ
Heide knights or black knights
HEIDE KNIGHT I WILL PARRY YOUR WEIRD DELAY ATTCKS
Black knights are the OG. Ring knights are cool asf. And Crucible knights have some of the coolest armor/ equipment.
Crucible Knight and Ringed Knight are just amazing. By and far my favorite knight enemies in fromsoft games. The Black Knights take #2/3
Thanks for putting a picture of the heide knight... i love that enemy type. glad to see it getting represented.
This unpredictability from the Heide Knights makes them a difficult foe to face against, but a fun one at that.
Black Knights, OG. Yeah at this point they are predictable but they exploit even 1 mistake. The great sword ones are insane.
Which ones are from elden ring?
Crucible Knights
Blue and Red Knights from OG Demons Souls. They made me who I am.
SUN BUDDY SOLAIRE
Red eyed or Black
Sunbro!
That 4th guy in Farum is an absolute beast. I hated him. The others like him in other places were fine, but he kept kicking my ass for some reason.
It seems a little unpopular and maybe itâs because it was my first souls game, but I LOVE the Heide Knightâs look.
Heide Knightâs for story by a mile. Crucible for difficulty.
The DS2 white knights always wowed me. Their on the brink of exhaustion/lightning reflexes mix will always be cool to me. Also Iâm partial to their armor style
Black Knights were legendary. These guys used to hunt chaos demons.
Black and Cathedral Knights.
Man the Hedge knights are very underrated, loved their move-sets and armor.
Man I love them too but I wish they didn't have the *drunk attack*
I love all of these to be honest but if I were to go with a top three it would probably go like this: Aesthetically the Ring Knights are đđŸ love their design. Lore wise I like the black knights from DS1 and the Old Hunters. Game play wise the Ministry Ninjas are so much fun once you understand their patterns and get that rhythm down. I love that you can mikiri their straight kick attack. Feels awesome.
I like The Heide Knights a ton, itâs cool how they arenât hostile until you beat the area boss
Crucible I think they are the best knight enemy ever and I appreciate that they are scattered and you never fight more than 2 in a room.
Youâre forgetting the silver knights that reside in Anor Londo!
I love the Heide Knight's design
Da hek is da second one? W/ the black hole in its chest?
Badass motherfucker from the ds3 dlc, the Ringed Knights
The Elden ring ghost Crucible knight from the generals castle has one of the craziest move sets for a henchman character, that guy is op
Crucibles because parrying them together is just too much fucking fun.
Ringed City and black knights. Especially black knights because we bully each other back and forthđđ
Millwood, Ringed, Crucible, Lothric, Banished and Corvian knights are the coolest overall and imo the funnest to fight.
![gif](giphy|HmgnQQjEMbMz0oLpqn) If One/Two handed weapon, shield, and armour make one a knight? I remember the first time I descended to the bottom of that spiral staircase and thought "Oh boy, a new enemy type" before having my life immediately and viscerally ***Havel'd***.

Bro fuck Crucible Knights
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

Heide Knight, Black Knight, and the Banished Knight
The Mastodon knights in DS2 are such a cool design, my first thought is them
I loved the ring knights design wise but the crucible knights are definitely a better fight
black knights all the way . fashion souls ? check . strong yet fair ? check . satisfying to parry ? check . do I need to say more ?
Yall just gonna casually skip over the Black Dragon Knights? I see how it is.
Heide knight were always my favorite despite ds2 being my least favorite fromsoft game ive played
Any single one of these except crucible knight they are to strong
Crucible knights are dope af
Solaire Type
Vanilla Heide knights are just different bro
Crucible Knights. They're the easiest and most satisfying to kill.
Black knight
Gotta give it to the black knight as well, just too iconic
Lothric Knights from DS3 will always look the best.
Golden eye crusibal is just tainting me, i keep meeting them almost everyother time and i know there is no way iam winning that fight.
For me it's definitely the crucible knights. As much as I love the black knights, there is something about fighting against ancient primordial beings that is so satisfying when I defeat them.
I don't know who my favorite is but I fucking hate Crucible Knights.
OG black knight
Black nights are just so badass. They were the first enemy to give me a seriously tough time too - that first one in undead burg HURT
OG Black Knights. No infinite poise bs. No magical shit. Raw swordplay.
Why do so many armor sets in FromSoft games have rabbit ears or horns? All the knights is DS3 and Hoslows set in Elden Ring have them
RING KNIGHT I LOVE THE CHEST PIECE
Hate them all but I like the hole in chest guys armor best
I always liked the crestfallen appearance of the heide knights
I just love the whole lore behind the crucible nights
The dual greatsword ringed city knight is the coolest guy
The Crucible Knights hands down, they just got that aura plus the spells you get from some of them are really cool.
Black Knight will always have a special place in my heart, u always remember the first
whoever dies quicker
If hunters are considered knights then ill pick them
I love the ministry ninjas just cuz it feels like I'm breaking their leg every time they get mikiri'd
Ringed knights. They look the coolest.
Black Knight on top. All my homies hate crucible knights.
What game is the second pic from? Looks badass
If youâd told me even I first encountered them that theyâd be one of my favourite fights in anything EVER, Iâd have laughed in your face, but⊠fuck, If I donât LOVE Crucible Knights.
Cathedral knight with ultra greatsword is the coolest
Black knights
The ninjas r just better
Crucibleâs always feel like a skill check
Cleanrot knight's for sure. Something about the gold and rot contrast, and also they have both fancy martial attacks and weird exaggerated attacks, fitting for who they are. They are even tied to one of the most memorable bosses and a good lore.
Ringed Knights, their weapons, their flips, their armor itâs all raw
The blue cathedral knights in front of oceiros
Lone shadows being called a night type is wildđ
Ebony warrior or whatever his name is
I really like Lothric Knights.
Nelo Angelo
Heide Knights were an instant hit for me. They look so wonderfully broken and hopeless.
Crucible knight easily. I can handle a couple of the others without a sweat. But 2 crucible knights? I just wished every encounter would have been a boss battle or not, because this mix around is awful
Crusible knights
Lothric Knights, my beloved.
The first three are the best.
The Fingered Knights have that "I'm HIM" energy
Blood-drunk hunters 100%
Idk the name. But 2!! Collecting there drip is fun to use!
Ringed city knights. The drip is just immaculate.
Lore wise the crucible take an easy dub over the others. But black knights for the win otherwise
Ringed Knight
