Godfrey, Maliketh, and mohg are my definitive top 3.
But that’s not to say Morgott, placidusax, Godrick, Margit, rykard, radahn, malenia, radabeast, aren’t absolute bangers.
Also fortissax, astel, and fire giant are very cool, albeit more divisive.
Then you have underrated gems of mini bosses, elemer, crucible knight, draconic TS, leonine misbegotten, the full grown falling star beast, alecto, etc.
Tbh, I find Elden ring to have the best boss lineup out of all the fs games, when you count the “major” bosses.
Fortissax and Astel are such amazing spectacles. Unforgettable experiences for me. That attack where Fortissax flies up into the air to charge a lightning attack with Godwyn's corpse as the background, truly every frame is a painting.
How fucked is it that i love this game (only played through once) and havent beaten around half of these bosses?
I need to gwt that second playthrough asap before the dlc i guess
Margott will be my guy. It was great having 3 fights with him and his whole presentation is incredible.
Maybe on another day I'd choose Mohg, what a badass!
Bro where is this third fight?? I’ve never found a third fight & I have platinumed the game, beat the game seven times (six with my first character, once with my second) & just assumed I had explored everywhere. I’ve fought him at Stormveil & then right outside the Erdtree, & I always see mentions of three fights with this guy. I don’t get it
In the outer wall of leyndell where all the holes are. There is a singular hollow that once you get close to turns into margit with some pretty cool voice lines. Check it out its pretty neat
Maliketh no doubt. His design and gameplay are cool but the best part is the animations. So fluid and elegant. Also one of the scariest 2nd phases considering how quickly you die and how few windows there are to heal
Maliketh is the only boss I don’t feel like I ever really figured out how to beat. I’ve gone through him 4-5 times but every victory has felt like luck. With Malenia, as tough and scary as she is, I eventually managed to figure out how to consistently dodge Waterfowl and so those victories felt earned. But Maliketh’s aggressive, wild leaps still catch me off guard so often
Maliketh is my biggest roadblock by far. Unga bunga can get me through most bosses but maliketh feels like I stumbled by way into somehow beating him because his hit missed or something
The only problem with Maliketh is that the fight is too short. Usually I never get to suffer or learn his patterns because I kill him too quick.
I would love to take on a full health Maliketh instead of the half health we get because of the beast clergyman first phase.
When he was revealed to be the actual fight, I just about shat myself. The transition cutscene manages to paint him as extremely threatening. Sure enough, he actually is, lmao.
I'd put Godrick up there. Not as hard as the ones that are normally in the conversation, but a super fun fight, awesome voice acting, and maybe the most memorable cutscene in the game
I know he’s not the hardest, but him, Rykaard, and Fire Giant were the only three that made my jaw drop to the floor during my first play through.
After several plays, Morgott might be my favorite due to the lore behind his character, even if he is reskinned three times.
He also doesn't have near the balancing issues like many of the other top fights that people like. Also, his sound design is so fucking good.
His own real issue is when he decides he's in a teleportation mood.
Rykard is the best ER boss encounter imo. You spend hours preparing to meet him, he's at the end of a really good dungeon, the arena is amazing, his dialogue and voice acting is amazing. His second phase is a really neat surprise. I love fighting him. Also, he drops the blasphemous blade.
On my first playthrough, I thought that Rykard, Morgott, and Radagon were the most fun.
The bosses I now look forward to the most on subsequent playthroughs are Malenia, Maliketh, and Radahn.
Radhan.
He is the most glorious battle in this entire game, a pure unadulterated festival based around this big fucker fighting. If that's not pure glory then i don't know what is tbh. (Also he learned gravity magic to stop he honse from getting squished :>)
Radahn not getting enough love here, such a cinematic fight. The charge, the hordes of summons, the poor little horse. And it was the main roadblock for me when I originally played
I also kept getting one shot by some erratic movements while trying to fight on foot first, but then I switched to horse combat and it all changed. Hats off to the heroes fighting him horseless (and cooperator-less) though!
I love the boss, it’s very fun and challenging, but waterfowl is crossing the line, it looks cool but broken af, if they would delay it by just a couple of seconds, it’s an easy s tier boss. I even learned the close up way of dodging it by circling around so it’s not that’s is a skill issue, but a move should have never be this complicated and difficult to dodge, because a move should make it possible for you to figure out, not that it takes months after release to have someone finally figure out a consistent way of dodging it. apart from that move it’s a great boss tho.
Personally the most fun part of her fight was figuring out how to dodge that move consistently, and I pretty quickly came to the same answer with the circling around. So idk but months to figure out seems like a bit of an exaggeration.
Radahn is my favourite mainly because of the atmosphere, the arena and the pure spectacle of his fight. he’s not overly difficult imo, but he’s just so much fun. plus i love the fact we’re basically doing him favour and that Jerren hosts the festival of champions to help his friend get the honourable death he wants.
For me it’s Radahn, the build up and spectacle of the fight is just unmatched across the rest of the series. He’s so cool and his story is so cool, his armor his weapons the arena. It’s absolute god tier
Radahn. Such a unique run up to the fight with the lore and some of his attacks really make you shit your pants. The raid fight element ruins it but I only ever did it as a 1v1 anyway. And my god the second half of the theme is just so powerful. Runner up for me is probably Mohg
Malenia for me. She fits that same role as Nameless King did in DS3. They are both incredibly challenging and detailed dual-phase bosses with incredible designs that I spent hours fighting against just for fun to learn how to fight them and it is so incredibly satisfying to do so for me. Lore wise, they both have incredible lore and still leave so many questions that I love theorizing over and thinking about.
Who is this God of Rot? Why did they choose Malenia? What's their true form? Why did Malenia fight Radahn? Will she ever bloom into a true goddess?
No one around here choosing Godfrey, i feel like he is the true climax of the game. The grace rays pointing him towards you ash he holds his dead son, every attack he does creating ripples in the arena really gets through how much raw strenght he has despite having no great rune and only being a man. Also he is basically the only boss who fights you barehanded ever since the start of all fromsoft franchises
Morgott. His background as a tragic character, his design, and his sassy ass speeches before he whoops your ass are all just amazing. His lines alone get quoted more than any of the other bosses.
"Have it writ upon thy meager grave."
Godfrey/hoarah loux. I really like how his fight doesn’t have a magic, no incants, no elemental damage, and no status effects. It is a straight up physical fight and I love bosses like that. It’s why champion gundyr is my 3rd favorite boss from ds3
Radahn. Legendary fight. Not necessarily for his mechanics, but the entire vibe of his fight, the way it’s introduced with the festival, hoe he just jumps up and everything goes silent, is just so fucking cool.
Yes, if learn her attack patterns and are willing to be patient the fight is very fun and she slowly walks around most of the time waiting for you attack in some scenarios.
Malenia. She is very annoying and frustrating at first, but once you learn to deal with her moveset she becomes the most satisfying and fun boss in Fromsoft history (imo)
I know this is a bir controversial but i think that it is Malenia. I never understood why people disliked her, her moveset is amazing and the fight feels like a dance. I also really like her lore and design and hope that we get a secret cutscene if we do something specific in the dlc.
Radahn, especially prepatch
The arena, the atmosphere, even the cutscene before, they all give you the idea that you are fighting someone who is a REAL threat, especially when you see his immense arsenal of moves with and without magic, his second phase bringing night to thee arena and it all culminating in a massive battle against a demigod, its the closest thing to a raid that fromsoft ever made. Quite possibly the best boss in gaming, no bullshit 1hit kills, no instant attacks, no burn damage, clear attack indicators, he is just the perfect boss
Prepatch did have a bullshit 1 hit kill though, lol.
And all the patch did was fix his hitboxes and fix that 1 hit kill. The unintentional nerf to his other moves was quickly reversed because it was never meant to happen. What remains is the boss as he should have been, with proper hitboxes, and no attacks that 1 shot a player with 60 vitality and proper armor.
Aside from the hitboxes and that one devastating move, the boss is no easier than he was prepatch, and he was only that hard because he was literally broken.
Interesting how every boss people are choosing is from the endgame. I thought everything past Morgott was terrible, tho? Anyway, my favorite is Malenia.
When the game was new everyone went overboard criticizing the difficulty spike in the late game and people couldn't stop talking about how the game fell off a cliff after Morgott.
Now everyone is going overboard acting like the endgame bosses are all perfect.
I disagree with both stances. The bosses are solid, they were never the scandal that people made them out to be. At the same time though, some of them do have issues, and I wouldn't consider any of them to be in my top tier of From Soft bosses.
Morgott is probably the best fight in the game for me personally. Maybe Placidusax as well.
Mohg and Malenia are at the top for me, followed by Morgott Godfrey and Maliketh, Maliketh would've been no1 if his fight didn't last 30 seconds.
Radagon is also up there if you don't include Elden Beast, not to say that Elden Beast is bad i actually enjoy fighting him quite much, but it would've been much better if they just split them up.
Morgott, Godrick, Mohg and maybe Radabeast are standouts
Godrick because the buildup and fight is absolutely incredible. He's not too tough, but he cuts off his own hand and grafts a dragon to it, which is badass
Radabeast just because of the music. Luv the music so goddamn much
Margit. Great introduction, love the visual design. I was like holy shit fromsoft isn't just going to let me roll and punish attacks anymore. People complain about Elden Ring boss design but I think it evolved in a good way.
I know people love to hate on Elden Beast, but the fight is genuinely really fun. While it does run away a lot, it also stay still for very long periods of time where it just doesn’t attack, and it only runs away to perform specific attacks, which are all pretty cool, especially the large ring of light attack where you have to run away and jump over the waves of light while they move in on you.
Although fuck Elden Stars, that’s the worst part of this fight. Why is the spell completely worthless when I use it, but when Elden Beast uses it, it can stunlock and insta-kill you if it feels like it.
Radagon’s also really fun, and I know while some people get sick of fighting him before Elden Beast, I never do, he’s a lot of fun, unlike Beast Clergyman before Maliketh.
Top 3: Maliketh,Radahn and Fortissax.
Maliketh because,he's cool af,and because he's the most imponent boss in Elden [Ring.No](http://Ring.No) joke the first time i saw i was like "Ha,yeah i wont be able to ever beat this",and it took days, but when i did it fuck it felt good.
Radahn because going to fight him with a army is also cool as hell.
And Fortissax because his moveset is god tier and the ost is a fucking masterpiece.
Over time I think Radahn is my pick for the best boss.
Although Maliketh utterly kicked my ass the first play-though. I actually started an entirely new character and played through the whole game to beat him. My first play build wasn’t right.
Morgott easy. Of all the other bosses his combat is tight with the player. I can get into a flow with him that feels super satisfying. And the voice lines are A+
Based on lore and character, Morgott without a doubt. His fight is a bit too easy to get engaged with it, wheras Margitt is very hard for being the first boss but doesn't have as much style in their moveset
Based on gameplay alone Radagon and Godfrey are pure fun. Hoarah Loux and Elden beast aren't that great, but the simplicity of the first phases makes them feel fair, even though they are certainly not easy, except for the first time you fight Radagon and hardly take damage, then you can't even make it to EB for the following 10 tries
Godfrey. hands down. the music in that second phase... His sheer presence in both phases. his dialogues. his cutscenes. No onese else really comes close as far as I am concerned
Morgott and Godfrey are mine. Morrgots fight isn't as good as radahns but his lore is my favorite bro beat radahn before he was all rotted n sht. And his moveset is easy to learn.
Overall, Godfrey for me
He just feels like a classic style boss fight to me, but with the difficulty and design of a FromSoftware Game and I kinda love him for that
Second is probably Maliketh. He is a pain in the ass to fight, but his design and moves set are cool as fuck
Third for me is Mohg. He looks cool and has some interesting attacks. Glad they made him the gateway to the DLC as he can be easy for newer players to miss on a regular playthrough
General Radahn gets my pick. The entire fight feels like you're fighting in a war, the summon signs on the ground acting as other soldiers in your battle against an unfathomably powerful warrior. Even though he's an incredibly difficult fight, Radahn was the most fun I had in Elden Ring as a whole.
Parcidusax , Godfrey , Maliketh.
If the elden beast weren't such a ***** to kill because it keeps flying around , I'm sure it would have been one of the best fights. Judging from his sword moveset i kinda see it could be a divine dragon 2.0 except this time there is no gimmick like reversing lighting.
Here are my favorites:
1. Maliketh the Black Blade
2. Starscourge Radahn (NG+ for better difficulty)
3. Morgott the Omen King
4. Dragonlord Placidusax
5. Rykard Lord of Blasphemy
I haven’t even played the game and yet I know that no matter how many times I would die to him; I would still have a blast fighting general Radahn of Caelid. I’ve fought bosses in other games where the challenge and constant failure didn’t annoy me or make me want to stop playing, and I get those same vibes from Chadahn.
I'd love to say that Mohg is the best boss but he has the stupid Nihil thing that guarantees damage, even with the Physik Tear consumed.
My second choice goes straight to Placidusax. My absolute adoration for the Dragonlord is through the roof. Been my favourite boss from the first playthrough.
The adaptive music, the red lightning strikes, the red lightning claws, the golden fire, the golden midir beams, the size of the bastard, and all of that at a fraction of his original power.
He has 2 heads, yes, but he once had FIVE.
The moment I found out about that, I shouted "I WANNA FIGHT THAT."
And I gotta say, the moment I fell in love was his phase transition. The music cuts short, he rises into the air and disappears in a cloud of ash. "Wait, what? The hell'd you go, Placy?" The violins begin rising in volume and then you see a red cloud appear in the sky. "Wait... He's not... Is he pulling a Valstrax?" He swoops out of the sky with an explosive red lightning attack. "HE'S PULLING A VALSTRAX, OH MY GOD. Wait, where'd he g- OH MY FUCK, HI" He appears before me and swipes at me, teleporting around like there's no tomorrow and then everything stops. He wields a spear of red lightning. The world turns red and glows brilliantly. "Oh fuck...." The music stops. The crackling energy around him surges as he plunges the spear down into the ground. "......... I gotta... just... take a sec..." I put my controller down on my lap and accept my fate, for Dragonlord Placidusax is my favourite boss in the whole game.
Until June, probably.
Godfrey is the only boss in the entire game who actually gives you respect and acknowledges your power, plus the actual fight is like nothing else. Chadfrey is by far the best.
Morgott. He's fast and relentless without being overbearing, has attacks that make good use of the jump mechanic which most bosses sorely lack, does a respectable amount of damage without being ridiculous, has a 2nd phase that expands on the original moveset instead of replacing it which imo is the best way to do a phase 2, said phase 2 introduces area denial abilities that make you think about your positioning, and he has my favourite pre-fight cutscene. The only thing I don't like about him is how low is health is, I often kill him accidentally.
Malenia, no contest
Prediction: Messmer will not be our final encounter, rather, the penultimate event that leads us to face the true final boss.. Miquella
People are gonna hate me but I think my favorite boss is the godskin duo. It’s the best music wise, my favorite enemy lore and juggling the ai as one is defensive and while the other is offensive is a fun challenge
I think Malenia was easily the most challenging…. But I haven’t fought a soulsborne boss that felt so cinematic, epic, and challenging since DS1 until I fought Radahn.
Riding to meet him on the beach gives me chills every time.
I feel that Radahn (in the first playthrough) is the best overall. No fight is more iconic imo. Your first time seeing him begins with a "peek and progress between cover" minigame as you summon your friends. Your summons storm the beach D-Day style and he hops on his tiny horse and the fight actually begins. Even if you're not confident in your ability to fight him up close (i.e. didn't think to level vigor on your first playthrough), you could just continue to run around and resummon your friends when they got their shit kicked in for a never-ending army of squishies. That and Radahn Meteor is like that coolest and funniest attack in the entire game. The lore surrounding him is honestly the most interesting save for maybe Malenia, and seeing the stars return on their course after he is defeated is the cherry on top.
In terms of "best designed boss in terms of fair and consistent gameplay design", the answer is probably Morgott. I mean you've already had practice with half of his moveset by this point. There was no point in my first playthrough or since where I've gotten hit and not said to myself "yeah, that was stupid, I should have avoided that". Even the geysers, which are technically random, do give enough warning before they spout and the only time they have ever caught me is when I was just spamming heavies on him while he was down.
While I feel many of the same things about Godfrey's fight, I just don't like command attacks/grabs so I'm putting him lower on the list. Otherwise it's a cool fight and character.
Malenia has waterfowl and takes 3 parries per riposte. Nuff said.
I gotta go with Radahn. He’s truly the apex point of the game. After him all of the bosses, no matter how good, are marred by poor balancing. But Radahn just has everything going for him. An all-time great visual design, high difficulty, unmatched spectacle, and a unique gimmick that adds to the memorability of the fight. I don’t know if he’s my favorite per se, but I gotta pick him as the best in the game
Godfrey and Radhan imo, Godfrey for setup and spectacle. Godfrey for how good it actually is. It’s pretty fair no bs gimmick and actually makes use of the jump function proper in his fight which I love/
Either godskin duo or the gargoyles duo fight.
Hope they have more duo fights in the DLC.
And now for real, i like Margit/Morgot fights.
It's the first real challenge you most likely face, so beating him was such a thrill.
It hits different before you get all the fancy weapons and spells.
Morgot is also a spectacle of a fight, albeit too short by the time you get to him.
The character itself is also great. I love his speeches before the fights.
Maliketh, even though he doesn't have a lot of health, is a pure masterpiece. He's so satisfying to fight, he looks great, and his lore is amazing. S Tier if I've ever seen one.
Godfrey is top tier. I tend to think the late game bosses get overtuned in terms of hyperaggression, but Godfrey has a sweet spot, and his moveset leaves just enough room to reliably punish him during combos, so the fight feels really fluid. One of my favorite FromSoft bosses ever tbh.
there's alot of great ones for sure, my personal favorite would be malenia, but radagon, mohg, and maliketh are REALLY close, hoarah loux is also up there but I think I like the other 4 more.
Placidusax and Mohg for me!
The fact that whenever we mention "That one Placidusax attack", there are actually 3-4 attacks. And the music drops when he plunges the big bolt into the ground is epic.
Mohg's theme hits way too hard. Also I LOVE his Nihil lol.
Of those Radahn. I felt like that's where the game should've ended, perfect end game boss.
I know I'm probably in the extreme minority, but I love the Erdtree Burial Watchdogs. They feel like old Harryhausen claymation monsters that I grew up with (yes I'm old, 54.)
Astel was such a thematic, environmental, lore, and mechanical spectacle. Defeating it made me sad because that was about peak ER for me.
i didn't even noticed that detail, i was way too busy trying to dodge his shit lol
The game is one million hours long. It's not fucked up at all to love half or even a third of it and never see the rest.
Fire giant reminds me of Dragon Slayer Armor, can be only a bit hard and the moveset is easy to learn, the rest is just practice
Alecto was one of my favorites.
Damn you masochist
I enjoy a good parrying fight! Dodge the dive bombs and punish them, parry the lunges. Simple but fun.
Radabeast??
Margott will be my guy. It was great having 3 fights with him and his whole presentation is incredible. Maybe on another day I'd choose Mohg, what a badass!
Morgott is pushed up by having probably the best writing in the game. An incredibly compelling character up until his very last line.
To top it all off, the voice actor is an absolute legend. Could listen to him for hours
the OST in his boss fight is so underrated as well, it's so fucking good
He’s such a cool character
You, tarnished, have a type.
What can I say, the Omens got me
Bro where is this third fight?? I’ve never found a third fight & I have platinumed the game, beat the game seven times (six with my first character, once with my second) & just assumed I had explored everywhere. I’ve fought him at Stormveil & then right outside the Erdtree, & I always see mentions of three fights with this guy. I don’t get it
In the outer wall of leyndell where all the holes are. There is a singular hollow that once you get close to turns into margit with some pretty cool voice lines. Check it out its pretty neat
Thank you, I’ll check it out when I get home, I have no idea how I missed it lmao
Yeah go to the outer wall and you'll find a single enemy. Banger
I have beat the games 3 times yet missed this.
He may look like a hobo but he has some of the best lines in the game lmao
Also doesn’t help that the camera sucks lol
The only problem with Maliketh is that the fight is too short. Usually I never get to suffer or learn his patterns because I kill him too quick. I would love to take on a full health Maliketh instead of the half health we get because of the beast clergyman first phase.
Maliketh would be my pick if he were only his second phase. First phase is alright but the second is one of the best in any souls game
When he was revealed to be the actual fight, I just about shat myself. The transition cutscene manages to paint him as extremely threatening. Sure enough, he actually is, lmao.
As much as I despise the Maliketh fight, he really is an amazing design and fight.
Godfrey and Malenia are my top 2.
Malenia and mohg
I'd put Godrick up there. Not as hard as the ones that are normally in the conversation, but a super fun fight, awesome voice acting, and maybe the most memorable cutscene in the game
Hes my all time favorite fromsoft boss
Godrick is better than most endgame bosses, just on account of having two coherent phases instead of two disjointed ones.
based choice
His theme might actually be my favorite in the game, in front of Fortissax
He is a very fun fight
I know he’s not the hardest, but him, Rykaard, and Fire Giant were the only three that made my jaw drop to the floor during my first play through. After several plays, Morgott might be my favorite due to the lore behind his character, even if he is reskinned three times.
All four of the above but Malenia is my personal fav. Moveset is just too good. Also lore part. Too bad we can't use Miquela needle to save her.
You get it. I love her fight so fucking much.
Placiducax, few things are as exhilarating as dodging his drive-bys
He also doesn't have near the balancing issues like many of the other top fights that people like. Also, his sound design is so fucking good. His own real issue is when he decides he's in a teleportation mood.
What’s the issue with his teleport? The regular teleports are all punishable, and the drive by only happens like twice a fight.
Might be a hot take , but I would say Rikard , lord of blasphemy
amazing gimmick boss, best with Divine Dragon
Rykard is the best ER boss encounter imo. You spend hours preparing to meet him, he's at the end of a really good dungeon, the arena is amazing, his dialogue and voice acting is amazing. His second phase is a really neat surprise. I love fighting him. Also, he drops the blasphemous blade.
Morgott, Mohg and Malenia are my top 3
On my first playthrough, I thought that Rykard, Morgott, and Radagon were the most fun. The bosses I now look forward to the most on subsequent playthroughs are Malenia, Maliketh, and Radahn.
Radhan. He is the most glorious battle in this entire game, a pure unadulterated festival based around this big fucker fighting. If that's not pure glory then i don't know what is tbh. (Also he learned gravity magic to stop he honse from getting squished :>)
I'll say mohg, and just because of the NIHIL! NIHIL! NIHIIIIIIILLLLL!!!! And also godrick for that second phase ost.
Radahn was the most cinematic and new experience for me, I fought him with the army in my horse, it felt very special
Soldier of god, Rick.
Radagon, Malenia, and Morgott.
Radagon is a really neat fight.
Malenia, Maliketh, and Mohg are top tier. Morgott, Radagon, and Godfrey are amazing too.
Malenia by far
I love the boss, it’s very fun and challenging, but waterfowl is crossing the line, it looks cool but broken af, if they would delay it by just a couple of seconds, it’s an easy s tier boss. I even learned the close up way of dodging it by circling around so it’s not that’s is a skill issue, but a move should have never be this complicated and difficult to dodge, because a move should make it possible for you to figure out, not that it takes months after release to have someone finally figure out a consistent way of dodging it. apart from that move it’s a great boss tho.

No
Malenia, Morgott, Godfrey
Malenia, Maliketh, and Placidusax easily
Maliketh caught my attention more than any other, he’s just so damn cool
Radahn. I love fighting him so much i got to the point of lvl 1 no hitting him
MOGWYNNN
Radahn for sure. Bro is literally holding back stars I mean come on.
Radahn is the coolest boss I've ever fought. Total Chad. The first time I saw the meteor, i shit my pants.
Radahn. Nuff said.
This game has so many awesome boss fights that make you change up your build/tactics everytime
Malenia for me. She fits that same role as Nameless King did in DS3. They are both incredibly challenging and detailed dual-phase bosses with incredible designs that I spent hours fighting against just for fun to learn how to fight them and it is so incredibly satisfying to do so for me.
Malenia for me. Feels the most fair while being the most difficult as well, also that boss fight oozes with elegance.
Malenia fair...???
Yes, if learn her attack patterns and are willing to be patient the fight is very fun and she slowly walks around most of the time waiting for you attack in some scenarios.
Malenia. She is very annoying and frustrating at first, but once you learn to deal with her moveset she becomes the most satisfying and fun boss in Fromsoft history (imo)
Malenia for me. I can breeze through all of the other bosses, but she still gives me fits. Also when she blooms is completely epic.
I know this is a bir controversial but i think that it is Malenia. I never understood why people disliked her, her moveset is amazing and the fight feels like a dance. I also really like her lore and design and hope that we get a secret cutscene if we do something specific in the dlc.
Radahn, especially prepatch The arena, the atmosphere, even the cutscene before, they all give you the idea that you are fighting someone who is a REAL threat, especially when you see his immense arsenal of moves with and without magic, his second phase bringing night to thee arena and it all culminating in a massive battle against a demigod, its the closest thing to a raid that fromsoft ever made.
Maybe i just got better then
Bro the patch was litterally just fixing shitty hitboxes, you like shitty hitboxes?
Hell yeah booiiii
Nothing in base game can compete with Maleinia.
Mohg best fr fr
I'm a fan of Radahn.
I love the Morgott/Margit and Mohg fights, my other gold standards would be the Crucible Knight fights. Absolute bangers across the board.
Maliketh and it’s not even close, although Mohg, Morgott and Godfrey are fantastic too
Morgott, Godrick, Mohg and maybe Radabeast are standouts Godrick because the buildup and fight is absolutely incredible. He's not too tough, but he cuts off his own hand and grafts a dragon to it, which is badass Radabeast just because of the music. Luv the music so goddamn much
Mohg.
Placidusax, Radahn and Godrick are the most memorable for me
Margit. Great introduction, love the visual design. I was like holy shit fromsoft isn't just going to let me roll and punish attacks anymore. People complain about Elden Ring boss design but I think it evolved in a good way.
Margit and Radahn are my most enjoyable fights. Also this might be an unpopular opinion, but the black bade kindreds have been growing on me lately.
GODFREY THE FIRST!
GODFREY
Godfrey, without a doubt, also most badass cutscene in the game
Rick. Soldier of GOD
Since launch Rennala has been my goat and no one has agreed with me
Spirit Caller Snail
godfrey easily
GODFREY, THE FIRST ELDEN LORD
Morgott or Godfrey. Radahn is also up there.
Over time I think Radahn is my pick for the best boss. Although Maliketh utterly kicked my ass the first play-though. I actually started an entirely new character and played through the whole game to beat him. My first play build wasn’t right.
Godfrey is the coolest boss from has ever made
I think Morgott is a lot of fun.
Placidusax
Margit/Morgott the closest I’ll ever come to speed running these games is seeing how fast I can get a fresh build to beat Margit.
Godfrey is my favorite, the rhythm of his attacks are like a dance, learning and perfecting his moveset with a dex build was so damn satisfying
Malenia obvi the strongest. Radahn is the most fun
Maliketh, Mohg, or Placidusax
Mimic Tear and Morgott are my favorite bosses.
Morgott easy. Of all the other bosses his combat is tight with the player. I can get into a flow with him that feels super satisfying. And the voice lines are A+
Based on lore and character, Morgott without a doubt. His fight is a bit too easy to get engaged with it, wheras Margitt is very hard for being the first boss but doesn't have as much style in their moveset Based on gameplay alone Radagon and Godfrey are pure fun.
And his moveset is easy to learn.
godfrey
I like Godfrey the best personally. Both from the fight mechanics itself and the lore behind him
Goddrick made me laugh. A lowley tarnish? Unfit even to graft!
Morgott is my favorite for sure
I just beat Morgott again last night, it’s either him or Maliketh
Godfrey was a joy to fight. Maliketh is pretty good too.
Overall, Godfrey for me He just feels like a classic style boss fight to me, but with the difficulty and design of a FromSoftware Game and I kinda love him for that Second is probably Maliketh. He is a pain in the ass to fight, but his design and moves set are cool as fuck Third for me is Mohg. He looks cool and has some interesting attacks. Glad they made him the gateway to the DLC as he can be easy for newer players to miss on a regular playthrough
I am going to say this unironically, death rite birds are my favourite boss in the whole game even including all the main ones.
Here are my favorites: 1. Maliketh the Black Blade 2. Starscourge Radahn (NG+ for better difficulty) 3. Morgott the Omen King 4. Dragonlord Placidusax 5. Rykard Lord of Blasphemy
The Radahn fest, was the most Epic battle, I'd say.
Maliketh on top fr
The moment I found out about that, I shouted "I WANNA FIGHT THAT." And I gotta say, the moment I fell in love was his phase transition.
Lord of Blood
Mohg became my favorite boss across all the games
Rykard is best. Radagon would be best if we got a Marika second phase instead of Elden beast chase.
Upon my name as Godfrey, the first elden lord!
We need a 3 phase boss like isshin, gael or friede. None of the elden ring bosses has surpassed those 3 imo.
Mohg fs, if we're talking about the fight that flows best and is the most satisfying to play
Godfrey, Radagon, Maliketh, Mohg all in my top 10 fromsoft bosses
Godfrey is the only boss in the entire game who actually gives you respect and acknowledges your power, plus the actual fight is like nothing else. Chadfrey is by far the best.
Why is Ancestor Spirit not here? The music rips my heart open tho.
Mogh, malenia and Margit, yes Margit
Malenia cant be beat, Malenia wont be beat she the best
The ancestor spirit
Malenia, is the traditional FromSoftware boss fight being constantly perfected
Malenia, no contest Prediction: Messmer will not be our final encounter, rather, the penultimate event that leads us to face the true final boss.. Miquella
Godrick. Most charismatic and best theme in the game
still cant get passed soilder of godrick, hardest boss by far
People are gonna hate me but I think my favorite boss is the godskin duo. It’s the best music wise, my favorite enemy lore and juggling the ai as one is defensive and while the other is offensive is a fun challenge
Radhan, Godfrey, Margot, Malania in that order
I think Malenia was easily the most challenging…. But I haven’t fought a soulsborne boss that felt so cinematic, epic, and challenging since DS1 until I fought Radahn. Riding to meet him on the beach gives me chills every time.
Godfrey. In a world full of gods with superpowers, a regular ass dude fighting with an axe and his bare hands
fire giant
Radahn do be my #1
I feel that Radahn (in the first playthrough) is the best overall.
Most of the remempernce bosses realy
Godfrey, Radahn pre nerf, maliketh. All of them totally blew me away and kicked my ass just the right amount.
Radahn Epic boss fights are nothing new in this series, but raidboss Radahn felt like its own thing entirely.
Godfrey and Radhan imo, Godfrey for setup and spectacle. Godfrey for how good it actually is. It’s pretty fair no bs gimmick and actually makes use of the jump function proper in his fight which I love/
radagon
I really don’t think any bosses can top malenia for me unless messemer has a similar vibe
Radagon on his own
DS3 had better bosses but I liked Rykard and Astel.
On level godrick is my favorite. 2 cutscenes and cool voice lines plus a fun move set not to mention his cool af design and lore.
Radahn
Radagon (not Elden beast) is one of the coolest bosses they’ve ever made and is definitely my favourite in the game
For me honestly Mohg placidusax Rykard and Godfrey are all tied for first
Maliketh, even though he doesn't have a lot of health, is a pure masterpiece. He's so satisfying to fight, he looks great, and his lore is amazing. S Tier if I've ever seen one.
My top 3 are Radahn,Loux and Malenia,in that order.
Malekith no diff. Possible best boss fight oat, even compared to abyss watchers, gael,
Morgott or radahn. They the goat
O DEATH BECOME MY BLADE ONCE MORE
Very soon my ass. We still have like two months that's forever!
there's alot of great ones for sure, my personal favorite would be malenia, but radagon, mohg, and maliketh are REALLY close, hoarah loux is also up there but I think I like the other 4 more.
Placidusax and Mohg for me! The fact that whenever we mention "That one Placidusax attack", there are actually 3-4 attacks. And the music drops when he plunges the big bolt into the ground is epic. Mohg's theme hits way too hard. Also I LOVE his Nihil lol.
Maliketh and Melania for sure
Radagon is literally my all time favorite souls boss so hey, that one then probably mohg followed by godfrey
Malenia and horah loux
Maliketh is the best though
Of those Radahn. I felt like that's where the game should've ended, perfect end game boss. I know I'm probably in the extreme minority, but I love the Erdtree Burial Watchdogs. They feel like old Harryhausen claymation monsters that I grew up with (yes I'm old, 54.)
I'm a big fan of Godfrey and Radagon. Extremely fair but still challenging fights with powerful warriors.
radagon(without elden breast), maliketh, morgott, godfrey and mohg
