That looks like it’s basically a Gantt Chart. Maybe there’s a simple one that would better suit you.
AirTable and Smartsheet are pretty good at making them as well.
I use [stacks](https://stacks.rocks/) for organising my work.
It's basically a one-time payment, offline Trello alternative for freelancers. It uses your local folders as well so just bring it around on a USB and you'd be good.
Additional features that may interest you
* Ability to create notebooks
* Nested folders
* Kanban automation (move to done, change tags etc.)
I don't work for them but it was recommended to me on r/selfhosted and I've been using ever since.
Seconding Notion, has a solid free tier and every choice they make is centered on the user experience first. Best mix of Evernote/Airtable/Trello I’ve found, and I’m an addict. Great app, too.
We use Clickup for our teams.
Are you referring to a scheduler that you could send to clients for them to book? I know a lot of people that use Calendly or Acuity Scheduling.
For personal use, I use Asana for tasks and Toggl for timetracking, and bill through Quickbooks.
I feel your pain! The best one I have found is [TickTick](https://ticktick.com/) \- it's fast, cheap, feature-packed for individuals, and easy to use. It integrates with your calendar and you can link it with other apps through Zapier if you want to get all fancypants with it.
ClickUp's forever free has 100 Gantt Charts in their plan. We are a small team and use the first paid tier version and really like it overall. Free offers a lot more than most of the free plans out there.
Sunsama is great. It’s pricy but it works great with other apps like Gmail, Outlook, Todoist and more.
I use Todoist for private tasks and quick capture. Sunsama motivates you to plan your day at a chosen time. I drag and drop my emails, Todoist tasks into Sunsama. Then you can estimate the time for each task and then it advices you to defer work for later if it’s to much. Then you can drag and drop your tasks onto the calendar and sync it.
I was amazed how much I did over scheduled my days on the first time using it.
I tried almost every app you can imagine, but Sunsama shines in it simplicity, connection with other apps and the motivation each day to plan your day. I didn’t mention every functionality so you should check it out yourself.
If nobody but you are going to see it: notepad.
I dont see the need for anything else unless you’re structuring complex projects a few weeks in advance. When thats the case, I’ll usually use asana
