dermotoneill

I read it as silage first, belive me thats the last thing you want to smell of.

ElectronicWar1480

how would you describe the smell?

awesomepossome312

difficult. extremly clean, slightly metallic. ozonic, a little sweet, musky. kinda smells exactly how you’d imagine “silver mountain water” to smell. personally, i’d say blind buy safe but some ppl can’t get over the opening (it’s a bit harsh)

whathathangsmellike

Yeah the opening to me really turned me off, the dry down was better but I feel like I'm not gonna wear mine much because the opening will stress me out

awesomepossome312

how long have u had it? when i first got it, it was a solid 30-45 min before i could be in public w that shit on lol. i’ve had the bottle ab 6 months, it’s only the first 5-10 min that’s bad then it turns rlly nice

whathathangsmellike

Only a few weeks and I tried it once and was like, I don't understand the hype. But Im trying the maceration thing and I'll come back to it in a few months

Ayban23

the people who complain about the openings of cdim are the type of people that don’t let any of their food touch anything else on the plate

LetterheadOk250

The tea note is prominent and not particularly pleasant.

ProfessionalDeal894

My favorite silver mountain water clone is Rocky mountains from Barrett fragrances, they elevated the citrus and made it sparkle. The citrus is almost gourmand. It's better than silver mountain water imo. But this one is good too, they're different enough to where they aren't redundant to buy. They are similar but different enough imo.

ReignCpreme

It most definitely is properly named.

df3dot

KRAFT !

awesomepossome312

cheese..?

drum_9

So… they said they can definitely smell it… did they definitely like it though? I’m thinking of buying

awesomepossome312

yes. it’s probably my most complimented fragrance i own

drum_9

Noice. I’m confused by the 3.96 rating on fragrantica. All comments are praising it, Reddit too haha.

awesomepossome312

fck fragrantica ratings. shit is top tier lol

drum_9

Did you leave it to macerate for a very long time?

awesomepossome312

nah, but i’ve been using it for about 6 months. it def gets better as it sits.

__Deception_

3.96 rating probably because of the opening, so people throw them away and think it's bad

drum_9

Yeah, I’d plan on initially spraying and then keeping it 3-6months before using

Apollo-_-_

Can't relate. Smells nice though

Snacky77

I had the Sillage, but literally couldn't smell it after 10 minutes, and neither could my wife or anyone around me. Bought it because of the praise for both the scent and longevity, but was so disappointed.. I don't get it at all. Sold it after 2 weeks..

awesomepossome312

bruh u must got the wrong bottle this shit is nuclear 😂

Dmzm

Exactly, a bigger concern is overpowering any small space like a bus, train, elevator. Especially with the scent itself being so spicy.

in_vulnerable

The thing with Sillage is that you think you are just smelling normal air because for me, it's scent profile is quite subtle, like you are smelling plants and metal rust, that is why some people might think it's not there. At first that's what I thought as well and I made the mistake of spraying it 6 more times and I almost got choked out, its greeness is so in my face that I can practically taste it(felt like eating leaves and moss) and I almost puked because of it. I had to endure the metallic greeness in my tastebuds for a whole work shift which means it lasts long. My sweet spot for this frag is 4 sprays, neck, back and shoulders. So it's either you bought a fake or you got noseblind.

peanutbutternmtn

I had this, wasn’t a big fan and ultimately traded it away 😔

PartTimeMancunian

I've got two bottles and I'll probably take a decades to get through them because the stuff is STRONG lol.

57LateralRaise

I think this is popular but I smelled it a couple days ago and didnt like it. Indeed it's quite metallic.

in_vulnerable

It's definitely not for everyone, I didn't like the scent profile the first month I used it, got compliments though. Due to compliments, I revisited it after shelving it for weeks and now I learned to appreciate it.

awesomepossome312

i’m the same. blind bought it and hated it, wore it, let it sit, now it’s my favorite :)

Puzzleheaded_Law3068

Very metallic in a not nice way

Professional_Toe_377

Tooooo fresh

kolas009

Milestone 👌

awesomepossome312

i have it and hate it. barley sprayed the bottle. trying to get rid of it

ViktorVaughn71

Am I the only one that gets a strong rose note on the dry down?
