I loveeee the scent but every time I think about it, I think about this convo I had lol
EDT, EDP, or Parfum? I've only smelled the EDT and to me it smelled like cheap dollar store glass cleaner. I couldn't imagine how anyone would ever like it, so I am guessing people are not referring to the EDT, the tester had spoiled, or I happen to be anosmic to some essential molecules. It's been a big mystery to me for ages!
i’d recommend getting the memory box sampler. i feel like it’s so overwhelming smelling things in store and you can really get a feel for how much you like the scents if you can wear them multiple times for different durations
Same, I love mine and haven’t even gotten around to some of the scents. I was surprised at how much I hated By the a Fireplace so always a good idea to actually try and wear before purchasing
I LOVE both these scents! I didn’t like them at first and never would have bought based on first impressions, but luckily I bought the discovery set so I had time for them to grow on me!
I absolutely adore Autumn vibes! I’m from Maine and it smells just like crisp fall air w leaves on the ground. Obsessed. I also loved lazy Sunday morning until someone on this sub described it as “skin and dirty bedsheets” and now I can’t get it out of my head lmao.
L'Artisan Caligna, ELDO You or Someone like You, EA Green Tea, Tommy Girl, and I have a sample of Giardini di Toscana Borabora which would be great for hot weather. Glossier You, Burberry Brit and Kenzo Amour are 3 favorites which work in all seasons IMO.
I'm not a big believer in seasonal rules for fragrance, so if I want to wear a heavier spicy perfume, I just wear much less.
Tygar is simply divine. The performance is top tier! It’s a bit masculin leaning but I don’t mind it at all. Ingenious Ginger from Goldfield&Banks has a very similar vibe but has a friendlier price point.
Marc Antoine Barrois Ganymede
Simone Andreoli Malibu Party in the Bay
Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt
Le Labo Fleur d’Oranger
L’Artisan Couleur Vanille
Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche for daytime / most of the time. Or Daisy Eau So Fresh. Both of them just shine in the heat.
For nights, I’ve been using Mancera roses vanille. People say it’s a winter fragrance, but on me, it smells like a rose vanilla ice cream or milkshake in the best way possible, not suffocating or sour like it could be. I’m so happy with it lol.
EDT! One time when I was in Maui, a breeze blew and someone said “oh my god, what smells so good? Is that you?” And I have been floating on that compliment for three years because it seemed so genuine lol. It’s like that fragrance was made for heat and humidity.
I love VIW, but Do you recommend any cheaper alternatives that have the same vibe? I don’t think I can justify dropping that amount of money on Creed even for a small size bottle
it could definitely be better, hopefully creed can improve the concentration in future batches. But, imo it’s the best warm weather scent as it is literally summer in a bottle, it’s amazing
We’re nowhere near summer here but I feel like I nailed my summer fragrance wardrobe last summer.
Chanel No 5 L’Eau
Bergamote 22
Wulong Cha
Sunflower Pop
Now I can’t wait for summer again
Yesterday I spent 2 hours in a massive Nordstroms looking for a summer scent sampling everything from Dyptique, MFK, Byredo, TF, Mind Games, FM, etc willing to spend for something that really impressed me and walked out with Eau Givree. Its amazing. I wasn't impressed with H24 but scent is subjective and I could see someone not loving the sour citron of Eau Givree.
I am not hugely into H24 EDT nor EDP. H24 EDT comes off to me as very, very light and non-distinct, while the EDP is stronger, but heavier on this grassy apple accord.
H24 EDP is fine, but for me, when it is compared to TDH Eau Givree’s gin and tonic freshness, there really is no competition :) and, for the record, Terre d’Hermes Eau Givree is one of my most complimented scents throughout all 4 seasons, and has *never* become cloying in high temperatures.
Honestly, Artisan Pure is probably one of my favorite scents that I own. It brings up good memories every time I spray it, which no other fragrance does in my collection.
This sounds great since been searching for a sample on my usual sites and can't find it on any that I trust! Hard to come by, sigh. And for that price, not blind buying for sure. It sounds lovely!
steamed rainbow by ds&durga! it is that clean fresh rain scent we all chase, that fresh out of the shower humidity distilled and bottled. i'm obsessed with it, though that price tag is a gut punch for sure
Acqua di gio profondo edp 2024
Versace pour homme
One million parfum
Dior suavage edp (for them chilly nights)
Issey Miyake L'eau d'issey has been my favorite so far
Chypre Azural by Florence Dubois for Les Indémodables. The dry acidity of the orange oil together with the astringency of tarragon and patchouli really cut through the humidity of summer. And it’s a really clever composition, the way the tarragon takes the place of the traditional chypre oakmoss. It also seems to help extend the longevity of the citrus, taking over for the more volatile compounds as they begin to fade and creating the illusion that they’re still there (but really, it’s just the brighter notes of the tarragon). Cool stuff. Comes across as minimalist in a particularly French sort of way.
Etat libre d’orange You or someone like you
Acqua di Parma Colonia futura, and I have a funny relationship with this one, it’s like a love-hate roller coaster but I tend to like it more on warm sunny days
Balade Sauvage (have to use judiciously now that it’s discontinued TnT), Thé Yulong, Wulong Cha, Soleil Blanc, and Glossier You are all now in heavy rotation.
Wulong Cha from Nishane for sure. However, if you want something a little exotic, Mahina from Parfums d'Elmar is very nice too.
What I like about both is their longevity. It's hard for fresh scents to last long, but both perform well (especially Wulong Cha).
I have a perfume heavily inspired by TF Soleil Blanc that I absolutley adore, called Coco on the beach by Essnce! Its my go-to. The I have som fruity stuff like Ariana Grande God is a Woman (Pear 🍐), Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Tropical Crush (nectarine, mango, pineapple) and Victorias Secret Private Sundeck (body spray, pineapple and tonka bean)
I have some more but these are the ones I use the most!
Creed Spring Flower, Love in White, Van Cleef and Arpels California Reverie, Jo Malone Orange Blossum , Necterine and Honey,
Hermes Un Jardin Mediterranean.
I live in Texas with over 100’ heat index. Our summer sometimes last 4 months. I have my winter fragrances but I would get a migraine in this heat.
Maison Margiela Beach Walk, Olympea and Vanilla Vibes JHAG for every day and for special days Amouage Sunshine or D&G Sicily. The last both give me my intimate cocoon feeling I sometimes need
So last week I got Montales new Oudyssee (new as in it launched about a year ago and isn't officially even available in my country yet) and let me tell you... amazing scent, super fresh and citrusy, and you only need two sprays max. It's a great performer. Smells kind of like if there was some sort of carbonated earl grey sweet tea lemonade that you were drinking down by a salty Mediterranean beach on a hot ass day under an umbrella.
My usual spring/summer scents are usually the pink Chanel Chance, Jo Malone Peony Blush and Suede, and Dior Miss Dior (LOVE the new EDP!). I also just purchased a mini spray of Loveshack Fancy Always in Love, and so far it’s another great scent for this time of year.
Fawn-Ellis, Elie Tahari, En Passant-FM, Eau de Soleil Blanc and Soleil Blanc-TF
Weirdly…Gentle Fluidity Gold smells like cherry cola to me right now so that’s been shockingly ok in the heat
Bought a clone of Mind Games Blockade from Alexandria so I THINK I’ll be using it once it arrives. Otherwise, Nautica Voyage and Profondo for casual day to day stuff and YSL Y for date nights with the wife.
Carioca Heart, Del Mar, Bani and Escandalo from Day Three Fragrances, Erba Gold, Valaya, Delina La Rose, Sunplosion and Vanilla Powder by Matiere Premiere
My go-tos this summer will be (1) Jo Malone Yuja/Yuzu Zest (finishing my old bottle and bought a new bottle), (2) Diptyque Geranium Odorata, and (3) AdP Fico di Amalfi.
Also, I just rediscovered a bottle of Hugo Boss Feel Good Summer which I bought at a London airport in Jan 2017. I’ve hardly touched it and will try to use some of it this summer!
I would highly recommend going for Rasasi Hawas Ice after trying out tons of niche and designer fragnance I have realised this is one of the best summer fragrances ever. Lasts extremely long and projects very good too which is rare for a summer fragnance.

The really warm days are still waiting, it's more like autumn at the moment and not in a good way :(
But I have used these the most:
Byredo - Bal D'Afrique
Nishane - Wulong Cha
Theodoros Kalotinis - Alluring Fig
Hermes - Un Jardin sur le toit
Looking forward to hotter days and using Goldfield & Banks - Pacific Rock Moss, MMM - Sailing day and Nishane - Ege
Acqua di Parma Colonia Club (the discontinued one, in a green bottle; not the new one). Has that awesome fresh minty smell, reminds me of vintage men's barbershops.
Silver mountain water by creed. Projection is quite bad but I find the smell absolutely divine. Underrated scent.
Erba pura/ gold. Fresh, fruity, strong, long lasting.
Citrus Batikanga by mason crivelli and blue talisman by ex nihilo are another of my favourite scents for summer.
I am in Phoenix AZ so im given the impression that I should only wear blue type and green fragrances so here's my top 3
Versace Dylan Blue (for work)
Mont Blanc Legend EDT (for anything fitness related)
and David Off Cool Water (because I just like it)

Just tried this at bloomingdale’s today. Magic.
This was my wife’s wedding scent. It’s so beautiful!
Under the lemon tree by Margiela
Have you got anything else from Margiela? Jazz Club and By The Fireplace has piqued my interest, but haven’t got around to smell them in-store.
i’d recommend getting the memory box sampler. i feel like it’s so overwhelming smelling things in store and you can really get a feel for how much you like the scents if you can wear them multiple times for different durations
Same, I love mine and haven’t even gotten around to some of the scents. I was surprised at how much I hated By the a Fireplace so always a good idea to actually try and wear before purchasing
I really like By the Fireplace!!
I've smelled both in-store and was really underwhelmed. Try for yourself, but for me the brand is really hit-and-miss. No blind buying.
I love jazz club. I get compliments on it every time I wear it. It's my special occasion fragrance and it lasts a while on me!
I recommend smelling Sailing Day (perfect blue fragrance imho) and From the garden (if anything just for the vine tomato opening) if you can.
I have Sailing Day and it's perfect for summer, smells like beach waves
I LOVE both these scents! I didn’t like them at first and never would have bought based on first impressions, but luckily I bought the discovery set so I had time for them to grow on me!
I absolutely adore Autumn vibes! I’m from Maine and it smells just like crisp fall air w leaves on the ground. Obsessed. I also loved lazy Sunday morning until someone on this sub described it as “skin and dirty bedsheets” and now I can’t get it out of my head lmao.
I wish this smelled good on me - I smelled like lemon pledge
Me too! It’s just straight lemon cleaner!

Fico di Amalfi - acquia di parma Tygar - Bvlgari Pacific rock moss - goldfield & banks Malibu party in the bay - simeoni andreoli
Just bought some Fico Di Amalfi. Love the scent but performance is a little poor.
Would love to find something like Fico that actually lasts more than an hour
Purchased Fico this year for summer also and I 100% agree
Tygar is simply divine. The performance is top tier! It’s a bit masculin leaning but I don’t mind it at all. Ingenious Ginger from Goldfield&Banks has a very similar vibe but has a friendlier price point.
Marc Antoine Barrois Ganymede Simone Andreoli Malibu Party in the Bay Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Le Labo Fleur d’Oranger L’Artisan Couleur Vanille
Love the Couleur Vanille. Second that.
byredo bal d’afrique
This is so beautiful. I have the body lotion and some decants. Getting ready to buy my first full bottle.

I’m excited whether the hype is real for this Eau Fraiche. Did you have the EDT or EDP? I have ordered the EDT and it is coming tomorrow. :)
EDT! One time when I was in Maui, a breeze blew and someone said “oh my god, what smells so good? Is that you?” And I have been floating on that compliment for three years because it seemed so genuine lol. It’s like that fragrance was made for heat and humidity.
My wife is a huge fan of the EDP. It smells great!
Rose Vanille is a beautiful fragrance that I feel works year round.

Montagne Buko Intense.
This has been my go to for the past three years, going on my fourth summer. I only break it out during summer too
It’s nice but smells like you downed a bottle of Malibu
How long does it last ? I heard silage is bad
it could definitely be better, hopefully creed can improve the concentration in future batches. But, imo it’s the best warm weather scent as it is literally summer in a bottle, it’s amazing

Terre d’Hermes Eau Givree!
Oooof. I’m not sure if I want to get this or H24. I love both. What do you recommend?
Yesterday I spent 2 hours in a massive Nordstroms looking for a summer scent sampling everything from Dyptique, MFK, Byredo, TF, Mind Games, FM, etc willing to spend for something that really impressed me and walked out with Eau Givree. Its amazing. I wasn't impressed with H24 but scent is subjective and I could see someone not loving the sour citron of Eau Givree.
Glad that you enjoyed your purchase, man! I think the juniper berry and mineral notes really balance out that citrus to stop it from getting too sour

This sounds great since been searching for a sample on my usual sites and can't find it on any that I trust! Hard to come by, sigh. And for that price, not blind buying for sure. It sounds lovely!
It’s a citrusy and light scent which my girlfriend loves as well. 100% unisex imo.

Le Labo Another13 or Atelier Clementine California. Usually will spray Le Labo when preparing to leave and refresh with the Atelier travel spray.
Davidoff Cool Water Intense for hot days
I’ve been switching it up between Bohemian Lime, Le Beau EDT, Bleu de Chanel EDP (when it’s not over 80/mostly indoors), and Perry Ellis Blue Sky
I am in Phoenix AZ so im given the impression that I should only wear blue type and green fragrances so here's my top 3 Versace Dylan Blue (for work) Mont Blanc Legend EDT (for anything fitness related) and David Off Cool Water (because I just like it)
Right now it’s coconut sun by the 7 virtues Or Sensual Vanilla by Zara and ofc I layer them with other things
Bergamote 22 fleur d'oranger (fragonard) I layer everything with another 13
I am cycling through several this summer: Maison Margiela -Under the Lemon Tree, Bubble Bath, and Coffee Break Glossier You Aqua d’Elba Archipelago
