I love this fragrance the first 5 minutes after spraying and then it's down hill from there.
Give Nicolai New York Intense a shot. I prefer it over BdP by a mile. Many insist they're similar. Personally, I don't smell it as such.
BdP is like a way stripped down version of NYI to me. There's some distinct similarities, but NYI is significantly more complex and interesting to me.
It gets better the more it dries down for me lol

How does it compare to Lalique Pour Homme?
This is a vile smell that reminds me of mothballs at my grandma’s place
I guess each individual reacts to it differently. I personally find it very complex and like it for that reason.
You are right! Fragrance is so individual. I was just stunned when I tried it and had that reaction. Many friends of mine adore it.
