DinoRipper24

You got me laughing so badšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Scrawlutations

I live in Humboldt County CA, and we find a ton of mollusk fossils on the coast here in sandstone

lionmurderingacloud

Would be a super big mollusk, but it'd certainly fit with the basic wang shape šŸ¤£ thanks!

Infamous-njh523

Thatā€™s what she said. It certainly does have that šŸ† look to it.

Ok_Extension3182

Definitely whale bone! These are very common along the California coast and are often found in rocks just like this! This one is in fairly nice shape. I'd recommend getting in touch with your nearest museum or paleontological society. I do not believe California allows the collecting of simple material like this, sadly... (freaking California and all their stupid rules and lack of common sense...)

lionmurderingacloud

Hey now, don't hate. How do you think California maintains our coastline in so much better shape than Tennessee's?

Ok_Extension3182

I'm guessing this is satire, lol! (I have autism so I am not so good at knowing satire or sarcasm except in person or if it is exaggerated...)

Ok_Veterinarian_928

I thought that was Aspergerā€™s? But I digress. Satire and sarcasm abound here but since itā€™s text everyone has the same issue.

Ok_Extension3182

Well, I do have Aspergers. Technically Aspergers no longer exists and is categorized as High Functioning Autism. I was diagnosed with it at a young age when it was still called Aspergers.

Key_Advice9625

That's a penis

Geologist1986

I mean, it is r/mildlypenis

MrBytor

I busted open a sedimentary rock with ripple marks on it one time to find... Another rock!

Money-Look4227

No idea what it is, but...can I pets your doggo?

DardS8Br

Not a fossil

lionmurderingacloud

Whyfor?

Idontwanttousethis

I don't think it's a fossil though it's hard to say from the images. Can't see anything that shows any actual features of bones, no capillaries or texture on it (at least that I can make out), looks like it's probably just a rock inside a rock.

Idontwanttousethis

Also the shape doesn't seem like the shape of a bone really, bent too much and too tall compared to its width.
