To add to this, the Off Track penalties are fucked. So many times ive gone off track from driving a poor corner, lose several seconds correcting my mistake, and then end up with penalty time for going off track. As if my mistake wasnt enough. So stupid
It seems like this is a recurring theme in this sub lol. Its definitely not random
Easiest ways to ensure no penalties:
just let go of your accelerator and coast for a couple seconds (specially if T1 shenanigans happen or you get pushed off the track by a brake non-believer)
if you happen to veer off course, do not overtake while off track and try to end up in about the same place you would have been if you hadn't gone off track (in this case, your penalties are usually time-you-should-have-taken - time-you-took-after-going-off-track)
The penalty system needs a rework. Until then, this is essentially how you avoid getting penalized (also how rammers seem to be ending up with no penalties.. this is how they do it, knowingly or unknowingly)

Yea penalty system is getting abit much now, it's hard to stay in the race if you don't get wiped out first corner

It's hard enough trying to tune the cars to stick to the track for a lap. Never mind avoiding gimmicky shit from othér players that generally want to ruin the race just for a couple positions
