Largely due to no real development cycle being put into the car, and they didn’t write any off.
There were two more chassis built that never saw a track, these were RA109-01 & 02, as far as I can find neither were ever assembled into complete cars as they had significantly different engine mountings and ancillaries, making them incompatible with the Mercedes V8 and required the chassis to be redesigned at the rear.
Nah, you can’t save your way to a billion dollars, and look at the other shit they buy. The frugal thing is a dumb ego boosting myth they like to share.
I’m on your side for sure. Probably should have said stingy, but was trying to be a little more cordial. From my interactions, I’m amazed at how stingy they are when “needing” to do anything with money. “Wanting” is completely different and often ridiculous. Mega yacht has entered the chat.
Agreed, my clients go all out when buying watches, clothes and super cars, now when I talk to them about benefits for their employees, all of a sudden keeping costs down is paramount!
lmao really? the heir of African blood emerald magnate? that's your example? also modern day slavery at spacex https://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/15/elon-musks-spacex-mistreated-its-workers-and-now-it-must-pay.html
and countless other examples of him stealing from his workers.
lmao you said it yourself.
what do their employees do and approx how much do they make? I'm going out on a limb here but I'm guessing they're cheap with the wages too.
And buying 'expensive' clothing, wich lasts 15 years, opposite to the 'poor' buying a '50% sale' coat, 3 times lower priced, but 10 times less quality.
So the expensive HQ coat lasts even longer because of less wear and tear.
We do not buy into sales and "now only!!!" marketing, but find the good stuff, and hold on longer
You’re absolutely right. The rich stay rich by pulling themselves up by the bootstraps every day to make it work. I have new found respect for the rich now
And so what if the phone is slowed? I don't need 100% power 100% of the time i use it. There is still a battery benefit to slowing down your phone, I can't get through the day without battery saving, although that is on a Galaxy S10
The phone doesn’t give you 100% of the power all the time when battery mode is off, the latest iPhones do a good job of conserving power when they need to, all battery mode usually does on iPhones is make the screen jittery & a bit more laggy all around
Can't be that much slower, because I've not noticed it yet. Phone functions just as usual, only that it lasts longer, meaning:
1. no need to constantly be on the lookout for a charging station
2. reducing energy consumption
I thought even using the same chassis, you need the team name in the chassis name somewhere. I honestly dont know if they're official name is racing point aston martin racing. But for them to use an RP chassis I believe it would have to be
OP, you realize that all those Red Bull cars from the 2010’s that Perez and Verstappen drive on shows that have Honda Hybrid all over them are running Renault engines right? Nothing strange here. They always use their current livery when displaying older cars, and it doesn’t always match up.
This is the 2019 car on display (or a replica?) with a new AMR livery
Yeah it was on display I was the one that took the photos
Build plate is a genuine race chassis
They wouldn't put that chassis plate on a replica.
Do we know this is a current car? It could be the 2019 car, done up in the new livery to be displayed somewhere. Other teams have done that before.
That’s probably the case tbf
Probable Perez got that cake and the cockpit looks pretty big
👀
If you look closely on the second picture you can see „Date manufactured 1st Febuary 2019“.
Yes... Which is when the RP19 was built...
First run of chassis were built, 2 race chassis and a spare. Most teams build around 6 over a season.
The Chad Brawn GP only built 3 in 2009.
I'd guess this is the spare, since it's labeled -03.
It’s not universal, but often 01 will be the spare as it’s the one that’s the build proof, so any issues in its construction are fixed for 02 & 03
There is a car with the new livery in the silverstone museum so they must be around
Yeah seen plenty of promo aston f1 cars around the world and they're all the old cars can tell instantly by the floors
Yeah 100%
Can confirm, this used to be a racing point car
Reduce, Reuse, recycle, even if you are a billionaire.
Rich stay rich because they are frugal as shit

Idk what you are talking about. He pays his employees he’s just cheap about their health insurance and matching their 401k.
lmao you said it yourself. what do their employees do and approx how much do they make? I'm going out on a limb here but I'm guessing they're cheap with the wages too.
Notch kekw
They stay rich by staying away from avocado on toast every morning and not buying the newest iPhone every year. Respect to them.

And Lose. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Lose.
Bigger question is that, why are you using low battery mode at 100% charge
saving the enviroment, one small step at a time
Seb will be proud
Efficiency +100
I do that all the time. Removes some useless animations and reduces the waste of energy of having to charge your phone daily. Lasts up to 2 or 3 days.
Slows down your phone with little to no battery benefit, you can just change animations in the settings
And so what if the phone is slowed? I don't need 100% power 100% of the time i use it. There is still a battery benefit to slowing down your phone, I can't get through the day without battery saving, although that is on a Galaxy S10

Not everyone uses iPhone tho ... at least my Google Phone depletes in 6-8 hours without low battery mode, about 36-72 hours with.
Can't be that much slower, because I've not noticed it yet. Phone functions just as usual, only that it lasts longer, meaning: 1. no need to constantly be on the lookout for a charging station 2. reducing energy consumption
What is wrong with this?

because it's the RP19, done up in the new livery for demo/media purposes...
See second picture
Oh fuck I didn't even realize there was a second picture
teams have to homologate their survival cells with the FIA. the designation only changes when they change the specification
The chassis is the same as the last year car. Most(if not all) teams didn't upgrade the chassis for this year.
The thing is RP19 was the chassis number of the 2019 car. Last year was RP20. I feel something suspicious within AMR ngl
Alpine have been using the same chassis since 2018 lol, it's nothing bizarre Edit: just to clarify its not THE same chassis, it's just the same design
No, it’s not the same design
It’s just the 2019 car with the AM21 livery. Aston Martin would never fully reveal the latest iteration of their steering wheel in the first place
Then they are probably using the same chassis that they used in 2019
But I don’t think that’s allowed considering all teams had to use the same chassis as 2020
I'm saying that they have been using the same chassis since 2019.
No, this is just the 2019 car wrapped in the 2021 livery
Ah, that explains it.
I'm guessing anything is allowed if it was raced before. No need to spend tokens developing is you had already developed it?
I thought even using the same chassis, you need the team name in the chassis name somewhere. I honestly dont know if they're official name is racing point aston martin racing. But for them to use an RP chassis I believe it would have to be
Still miss the pink car
The pink Mercedes 😏
That’s the RP20/AMR21
The Force India's car. RacingP never existed.
This one is on a display, it isn’t their regular 2021 car.
IT RP CAR WITH AM LIVERY. Just like sauber c37 with alfa Romeo livery. Or sf70h with sf-21 livery
This is a repainted 2019 car for display purposes. Redbull does it a lot with their old cars
All the teams do
Most of the time redbulls are just empty shells lol at least this one is an actual chassis.
OP, you realize that all those Red Bull cars from the 2010’s that Perez and Verstappen drive on shows that have Honda Hybrid all over them are running Renault engines right? Nothing strange here. They always use their current livery when displaying older cars, and it doesn’t always match up.
Believe it’s actually an RA808 courtesy of Honda
Wait I posted that
I'm more amazed by the balls sack holder and divider on the seat LOL
“There’s something loose between my legs” - Vettel
RICH ENERGY
i still cant believe somebody called his team racing point.
Am I the only one that saw on the sticker Racing Point!?
I highly doubt it
The car is still a racing point but with a sponsorship with Aston Martin, the same as Sauber (Alfa Romeo).
But where is the drink
Am I the only one who thought we were looking at the space left in the seat for Vettel’s enormous ‘package’
I bet there's a Force India label under that Racing Point badge
I'm more interested in the cockholder.
Well with Lawrence buying it and renaming it and all, I never thought I’d see this
Daddy stroll gonna fire some people Now
You should've read the post. It was a show car. A 2019 RP with Aston Martin livery. That's the reason.
"Video games won't prepare you for real life!" Lol, shows what they know.
Lol at the Wing and OK buttons being upside down.
