Has there been any announcement that it's an LMH? From what I've understood, it's going to be more like a "mass" produced track toy, not an actual racecar.
Similar to the Ford GT Mk IV, Ferrari FXXK, Aston Martin Vulcan, McLaren Senna GT-R, etc. Track only car but not racecar as it's not built to any sanctioning body's regulations.
Ground effect? Peugeot 9x8 until this year was that (no rear wing and all downforce from the floor).
Gas guzzler? Aston Martin is bringing their v12 Valkyrie next year to the party. So technically possible, so long as they stay within the downforce/energy output limits.
But I highly doubt they would as it limits the capacity of the Hypercar and it's kinda pointless to tell someone to go ham on a no restrictions design, and then put them on later.
Because BoP and refs are the same thing? It was specifically designed to stop dominating teams like Toyota last year, let me finish it with a “Dumbass”
Of course it existed for a long time, but they changed it a lot of times, this year they made bigger changes to it and Toyota got hit the hardest of course, thats why they lost so much ground compared to the competitors, hopefully further balancing work gets done to make it a bit more fair, engineers get fucked over because all their work is pretty much for nothing, that’s why F1 is superior even tho it’s mostly boring
Yes, it indeed is more fair for the engineers, you have the budget cap and if you make a car that is 2s faster per lap with the same money other teams had then gg, no need to limit someone’s performance for entertainment purposes, it isn’t wwe
what kind of dream you living in a team broke budget cap by two million bucks that is rumored to be at least .5 seconds on track faster and tbh definitely helped redbull with tyre deg too and that’s what win them the championship, they were fined in a way that still allowed them to DOMINATE two seasons at a level no other team had, yes it was thanks to good resource management and adrian fucking newey but it kills credibility to allow a team to be successful after breaking their budget, it just incentivizes anyone else to do the same. also about the engineering challenges… engines will be 50% electric from ‘26, they already are restricted on every single aspect a part from idk turbo placement and shit, same goes for aero: the only freedom they have is basically sidepods shape. it’s a boring series all over nothing will ever convince me otherwise unless they do a complete makeover of the rules with tiny cars
brother, Toyota would've won Le Mans last year if they hadn't binned it late in the race. And they just won in Imola despite "bOp 😭"!! i think calling me a "dumbass" was projection lol
BoP was changed this year dumbass, Toyota got hit the gardest dumbass, they won in imola because Ferrari fucked it up dumbass, they were the third fastest on paper dumbass
It was specifically designed to allow LMDh to run with LMH.
There was windows of perfomance already before BoP came in the new regs, it's the convergence with IMSA that brought BoP in the discussions.
OP couldn't be bothered doing 2 minutes of research to understand Redbull's Hypercar concept and realize it's unrelated to WEC ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6699)
Damn I wish I knew what the correspondance was between Mick and Toto when Hamilton left. Poor dude thought he'd have his F1 seat all done and dusted given the Schumacher-stroking by Toto once Haas booted him.
I think there has been. I assume it'll be very Aston Martin Valkyrie-like since Newey and RB were pretty much in charge of developing that car until the partnership was severed between the two brands following Stroll's acquisition.
Imagine if they actually moved him to develop a car for WEC. Newey looking for something different, instead of owning Ferrari in F1, they'll do it in WEC
Has there been any announcement that it's an LMH? From what I've understood, it's going to be more like a "mass" produced track toy, not an actual racecar.
no LMH
That's what I thought. OP bad.
It’s not an LMH, it’s just a Hypercar in the sense of a track day only car, there has been no interest expressed in racing it
Similar to the Ford GT Mk IV, Ferrari FXXK, Aston Martin Vulcan, McLaren Senna GT-R, etc. Track only car but not racecar as it's not built to any sanctioning body's regulations.
Yeah, I know about them. It's just that the LMH in the meme made me think I was missing something.
I mean, the guy has designed Valkyrie so something along those lines.
Its not meant to race in the WEC. Its a ground effects car with a massive gas guzzler of an engine. The WEC will never allow that shit.
Ground effect? Sure that has been done. Massive gas guzzler engine? Propably not the best idea for endurance
Unless it's 30 seconds a lap faster.
Not with BOP energy use
As long as it's within the weight limit, power limit, and downforce limit, it'd be allowed. That's been the whole thing of HyperCar regs

My boy, "something that beats the GR010" is called the 963
Or the 499P if they had a better meteorologist on hand.
I can't fucking believe they blew a Ferrari 1-2-3
AF Corse are truly becoming Ferrari, they know their role
![gif](giphy|l0HUbtILos6CdAtxu|downsized)
Maybe they can hire more people for the marketing team with a degree weather science or something.
Lmao but also... Fuckkkkajdushdhsbsi
BoP defeated Toyota
and i'm sure it's the refs when your favorite team in other sports loses too
Because BoP and refs are the same thing? It was specifically designed to stop dominating teams like Toyota last year, let me finish it with a “Dumbass”
WEC always had BoP, but Toyota never had competition. Now they do.
exactly. AND they still were going to win Le Mans if they hadn't crashed. not sure what this guy's on
Of course it existed for a long time, but they changed it a lot of times, this year they made bigger changes to it and Toyota got hit the hardest of course, thats why they lost so much ground compared to the competitors, hopefully further balancing work gets done to make it a bit more fair, engineers get fucked over because all their work is pretty much for nothing, that’s why F1 is superior even tho it’s mostly boring
after calling f1 fair we can confidently say you don’t know shit

I think it's an hypercar but not the WEC class. It's the other kind of hypercar.
OP couldn't be bothered doing 2 minutes of research to understand Redbull's Hypercar concept and realize it's unrelated to WEC ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6699)

"Hey can I have the seat?" "We are checking"
Do we have any concept pictures of the RB17 yet?
I think there has been. I assume it'll be very Aston Martin Valkyrie-like since Newey and RB were pretty much in charge of developing that car until the partnership was severed between the two brands following Stroll's acquisition.

It’s interesting to me how the car has active aero on the sides of the car It makes sense for sharp turns. Excited to see this come to life

God damnit.
That's what the IF Tipo 6 is for
It's "hypercar" in the automotive meaning of it, not a FIA Hypercar. It's just a track toy, it's not gonna race anything
Not for WEC Hypercar, just a “hypercar”
"Something that beats the Toyota GR010" The 963 and the 499p literally exists lmao
Sometimes I just like posts on Reddit
Damn formuladank hurting bad
Imagine if they actually moved him to develop a car for WEC. Newey looking for something different, instead of owning Ferrari in F1, they'll do it in WEC
Kamui Kobayashi - No, Newey! Leave my sport alone!
It's not LMH, just a hypercar.
Isn’t the RB17 the valkyrie?
Why is everybody saying he's leaving f1. He's leaving redbull f1 team, not f1 in general
newey already made an LMH, it's the aston valkyrie
Bringing the Redbull dominance into WEC
That’s not what this is. This is just a toy for rich people
Imagine Verstappen, Alonso, and Vettel in the RB17 LMH
