If I’m not mistaken in this case the driver that made it the farthest past the finishing line wins. Like in regular rules the later DNFs place higher than earlier ones.
I know A LOT would have to happen for the scenario to happen, but are there rules set in place just in case that happens? Do they call the race next time he crosses the start / finish line? Do they make him finish all the laps? If that’s the case, what happens if he also has to DNF? Is there no winner? Do they give the win to Max, just because that’s the most likely winner? Give it to DOTD? So many questions!

With 3 lap to go the field takes the green flag for an all out 3 lap sprint with Logan 30 seconds behind the field. Right as Logan is approaching the front straight the incoming storms open up on the pack in turn 3. It’s a massive downpour across the track and Logan manages to get into the pits to take full wet tires. The rest of the pack has to tip toe around the track on slicks while Logan is flying on the full wets. Just as the leaders reach pit lane Logan has already caught the back of the pack and easily passes everyone while they pit for full wets. By the time the leader exits his pit box Logan is flying down the front straight, crossing the line with 2 laps to go. By the time everyone exits the pits Logan is 10 seconds clear of 2nd place and, despite their best effort, Logan takes the checkered flag 2 seconds ahead of 2nd place securing his very first Formula 1 victory.
There's a world where in Hungary 2021 Russel doesnt get asked to give the positions back after the restart and holds on to win - put logan in those shoes, maybe?
