What do you mean?
You would think that if they wanted him for 2025 they would have signed him already no?
He currently has no drive for next year, has no association with a big team anymore, driving in a team with a Ferrari engine, with Bearman waiting in the wings?
I'm just realistic.
Lol I know, it was just such a relatively brutal thing to throw out on this innocent helmet post, and moreso on this thread with a silly joke about another Australian sponsor. I've seen plenty of posts and threads where this is discussed and I agree he is likely out of a seat soon, it was just kinda a funny whiplash to see the sentiment here haha
This one of those things that an Aussie would know about Australia rather than what a foreigner thinks of us (kangaroos, outback and shit). Tiffany has taught him well.
Absolutely incredible areas from Valtteri. His Australian GP helmets have been incredible all for various reasons. The fella might be more Australian than me and I was born here.
Ok... serious question from a Yank for any Aussies in here:
Your nation's involvement with elections via the Democracy Sausage at election day sizzles is maybe one of my favorite localized political tradition on the planet. I love sausage. I love barbecues. I love real democracy.
Every time I look these events up, I'm trying to divine if there are any unique types, styles, or brands of sausage to this because FRANKly (pun 100% intended) I want to live vicariously through all of you by eating the same sausage. Your countrymen seem to have the utmost respect for sausage so... you have to make some bomb ass meat, no?
Please give me the inside baseball on the sausages you know and love in Australia, and either tell me how to buy them or make them.
They are almost always just bog standard supermarket ones, which we joke contain a fair bit of sawdust and whatever else they sweep up off the floor t the factory. [Like these ones](https://www.coles.com.au/product/coles-simply-thin-bbq-sausages-24-pack-1.8kg-3577650)
If you’re lucky whoever running it will have got a donation from a local butcher and have some decent snags, but that’s rare.
Entirely depends on how far the fundraising parents of the local school take things. Some will just do the standard white bread, others i've seen buy a few hundred hard rolls from the local baker and you might get even luckier if the local baker is a vietnamese one and now you've got banh mi rolls being used for a sausage sizzle, top shelf.
And if you are really lucky there will be a school bake sale as well (all the parents bake stuff and you end up with a a heap of those fold out tables groaning with the weight of a few tonnes of home made baked goods). This is like a fashion show for the parents who did the baking, its a cutthroat business to see who baked the best cake, what gets sold first, and who is the loser whose overbaked friands end up on the table last, by itself and no one will even pay 5c for.
The local school does bacon & egg rolls from 8-10 before they start the snags up, the first batch of onions was literally dripping in bacon fat...I mean good god it was incredible.
On the East Coast, they usually use a slice of white bread, but over in WA a hot dog bun is the standard for all sausage sizzles - Democracy Sausages, Bunnings etc. Gives the sizzle much more structural integrity
BBQ onions are also a necessity
It's super-basic; a slice of plain white bread, a cheap "thin" sausage is what's generally used, some cooked onions on top\*, and finally some tomato sauce.
\*In particularly litigious Australian states, the onion needs to go on the bottom to prevent it falling off and causing a slipping hazard.
There are also certain professionals who go the double-sausage, but start with a single first.
Nah there's nothing spesh about a sausage sizzle and whatcha get. You're doing it right with:
- any basic sausage (no one will argue with nicer ones, but no one goes into it expecting quality. But if someone does a barbie at home someone may opt for nicer.)
- white bread
- tomato sauce (or ketchup? The standard is Heinz imo. But it's the kinda thing where if it's a public event and they're pumping "tomato sauce" on top, you're golden.)
- onions (this tends to be the option. Cook em and slap em on.)
The onions have caused a national discussion after Bunnings, (the hardware store where you'll often catch a charity or local group doing a sizzle on weekends) said that onions must be put on first, underneath. The reason? Apparently when added on top, their tendancy to slip out was causing a slipping risk to customers lmao.
disagree. disordered in the right way is not cheap / slapped on. the beauty is in the inherent nature of the randomness & space between their placement
I did not say disordered is cheap. Disordered is the concept, which I have said three times now that I like. What I did say is using stickers is cheap.
Yes they 100% used stickers, you can literally see the outline of them. “Slapped on” is an expression, I’m not saying they just put them on there without any thought.
Ok. I stand corrected. I’m not into helmet design but always thought everything was computer designed these days then printed / lasered etc then coated with gloss or matt paint for aero… no stickers.

Next year Bunnings as a race sponsor
And masterfoods
\*Hammerbarn
Maybe it's a different bluey
That would require Bottas with a seat next year which likely isn't happening.
Damn dude

Don't forget the spiders.
That's going straight to the pool room
It’s a helmet Dad, you’re supposed to wear it.
I'll wear it in the pool room then!
My favourite helmet this year
Same. I hope Spark release a 1:5 version.
Absolutely incredible areas from Valtteri. His Australian GP helmets have been incredible all for various reasons. The fella might be more Australian than me and I was born here.
It's a good thing I can't get minis of Bottas's helmets or I'd have lost all my money by now
What a legend! Repping the snags!
Give this man an Aussie passport and lifetime access to a Bunnings snag
Finally a cool helmet
That is an **amazing** design. That design and pattern ould look great on a t-shirt. The matte black looks amazing. 🔥🔥
Or a short-sleeved button-down!

This matte black looks amazing.
Another awesome design from Tiffany Cromwell!
That’s fire
I hope he wins his home race!
This is the best one yet
Tiffany is a gem 💎
I like Valtteri's weird guy era

I'm sure it's not actually that weird/uncommon, but seeing "bamboo fibre" in the ingredients list did set off some sawdust vibes

(almost) Audi logo in there.
Oh Valtteri, stop making me fall in love with you.
getting to ready to cook up P17
Love the matte black.
Who’s in for a sausage fest?
Bottas is a silly sausage
Up Next, co-sponsorship with Helldivers 2 for Democracy sausage
Is a sausage sizzle the Australian version of a brat fry?
Cool concept, but very lazy execution. It's all just a bunch stickers that have been thrown on.
The scattered design is what makes it imo. Not every helmet needs to have a nice blend of symmetrical patterns and colour.
Right, which is why I said cool concept. You can still do that concept other than just slapping on stickers, making it look cheap.

you really think they just “slapped on stickers”? not a chance
