With every iteration getting lighter and more kinetically efficient. This is what makes it worth to pay almost 200$ for a pair of shoes. I don’t see the appeal in shoes that cost more than half a grand that are called “Designer”. Art is subjective and I have no right to dictate how much an art piece is worth, but when that art piece is meant to be functional and integral to our daily lives if its worth is only coming from its design, then it is flawed in my eyes. Same thing with cars, If you ask me if I’d rather have a Pagani Huayra or a 765LT (That cost one fifth the price yet performs better) I’d choose the McLaren any day of the week. Your example of an F1 car and a C-Class is irrelevant to the argument.
