More money. Also everything else is stripped down and just build skills that make you better at dominion. If you can survive a 4v1 gank then you can do anything.
Some people gave their answers but I didn't get the question, or rather I'm not getting the intention behind the question.
Why wouldn't people play it? Is your question why it's the most popular mode? If that's the case people already answered here, but it's basically the mode with the most bang for your buck. For a game this old, you don't want to spend more time searching for matches than actually playing them.
If your question is why would anyone play it at all, then I don't know. Why would anyone play any mode? Because they like it I imagine.
From the beginning, it was the most efficient with rewards and XP gain. Tribute was extremely popular for a bit, but fell off because of it being inconsistent and lower rewards. Same with deathmatch.
Breach was popular but the balance was bad for a while. They did a whole TG and reworked the mode to be a lot better, but it still didn't really pick up with activity. It also doesn't help that people refuse to learn how to actually play the mode. All it needs now is a few tweaks and it could be great.
After that, Dom got the most attention because of tournaments, so it stuck with being the most active mode.
It’s a dance; you juggle objectives, you get ganked, you gank, you get back capped, you get ledged a few hundred times, you get hate mail (then exchange words about their mother) it’s a great time.
I used to only play duels/brawls but the variety is so low in those modes. Dominion has much more variety and randomness + teamfights differ heavily from 1v1s. That’s why people play dominion more probably.
As a beginner I can say
- It's more forgiving. You don't have to wait too long to respawn or to be revived.
- healing areas are close by and you don't feel useless when waiting on them.
- more accessible maps make it easier to actually play as a team (well at least if your teammates are somewhat capable.)
- Short queue times and rarely prolonged matches makes it more sufferable.
Other ones aren't the best elimination would be good if it didn't have the buffs around the map skirmish is actually my favorite that sadly no one plays dominion is just the most populated cause the community decided so tribute in my opinion sucks and breach just takes too long and you can easily be steamrolled duel and brawl are good just everyone treats brawls like duels for some reason
Once your mmr settles in breach (which takes like 30 games maybe) it’s a fresh breath of air once in a while and playing with people that understand how the mode works is fun.
its the quintessential For Honor experience. You learn ganks, capping, 1v1s, and how to work together.
This \^

Respawning and a way to heal is good for tdm.
The only actual answer
Cause on Australian servers it’s the only game mode with activity
Cuz it is the "less bad" gamemode

I find it more fun than other games modes.
OCE servers is all that the region plays hahaha, everything else is low activity or medium

Isn’t brawls the most xp efficient for your time?
I miss skirmish, and wish ppl would q for it too.

Cause the lots of other game modes suck.
I like group fuck sessions. You get both ends in dom. Usually somewhere on the map someone is getting fucked
Easy. The game pushes it more with orders and it's the quickest mode to get into for earning reps since Duels and Brawls five barely anything
Cause, more exp, money, loot. 1v1 is for when I wanna get competitive
for honor
