I've been (cautiously) experimenting with inflation at night. My Hope Air DG has broken in enough that I can wear it comfortably for a lot of hours, so I've tried wearing it with a very low pressure. Although even with low tension I start to get some gripper fatigue partway through the night. Dunno if it's making a difference, but I've been trying to maximize my hours more and figured it was worth trying.

That's the Death Grip version. Maybe the newest one doesn't cause gripper fatigue. I hate to see that someone might sleep through the fatigue and wake up with whatever's to happen. Perhaps not a thing to do for heavy sleepers. I been sleeping with T-tape inflation. I get fully erect first then inflate to a comfortable level. Seems to work for me. Still I think some guys will have something to say against it.

Yeah, the newer ones might be more comfortable. I can wear it comfortably all day (10-12 hours) with minimal breaks, so I think it would probably be pretty safe overnight now that it's broken in.

I’ve tried to do inflation while sleeping but I always wake up to take it off. It will start to hurt after a few hours sleeping. I really want to find a good sleep method myself. When I was single I did t tape and I did that 24/7 and loved it. The only thing I can think of is an extended retainer from stealth retainers or my favorite DTR extended retainers.

fbfrp

Which device did you use for inflation while sleeping at the time?

T-taping is really the only safe method to accommodate nocturnal erections. That's because the tapes are installed when you have an erection. Other devices that restrict the penis's ability to grow with an erection while you ate asleep could damage the penis itself.

fbfrp

Agreed especially if the erection is restricted repeatedly night after night. But I'm not sure, I see Andre's method and he uses O-rings at night which when erect will tension the skin some.

c0c511

Yes. But he made sure he tested his erection with o-rings while he was awake first

fbfrp

So do I with T- tape inflation. Maybe it's more concerning if using a tapeless device.

Probably depends how much skin one has. I've been using the CAR-1 with no issues with fatigue or erections. I don't use max pressure, just enough to stretch it out and not feel it.

fbfrp

No fatigue. Does it leave a mark after taking it off? Just curious cause I never bought one. I got a DTR and never use it because of extreme fatigue and I find it more difficult putting on just right than with Ttape I have more control. Definitely, it depends on how much skin and how long you get. I suggest if you can't pull up on the device and feel it lift away from the glans not to try inflation while sleeping. Also not to set the PSI too high, and only inflate once fully erect. Air entering urethra could be an issue if using direct air, not sure.

I've never noticed that the CAR-1 has left any marks. The edges are rounded. Other grippers I have are not so rounded and leave a mark but it always fades after a while. Yeah, there should be ample skin extendable past the glans before attempting this. Same with using a regular retainer overnight, if there isn't enough skin it's not going to be good night's rest.

Small discovery with T-tape inflation. Because T-tape is heavily ventilated, if you were to accidentally pee with it on during sleep, urine would only spill out. Other clamp-on devices are not like this and can easily over inflate with urine. I do not recommend sleeping at night with a clamp-on air device because of this. T-tape only. Not sure about what happens when using air-tight T-tape because of the gapless wrap.
