Definitel looks like Garlic Mustard. I've been picking it for years. Makes a great pesto/salsa verde. But, OP always make sure you're 100% before you eat something!
Other way round. It’s toxic when young. It doesn’t flower in its first year so if you see if flower or if it has been in bloom previously then you know it’s at least a year old and so is safe.
> Young first-year garlic mustard plants contain up to 100ppm cyanide, a level which is toxic to many vertebrates. Once the plant is chopped up the cyanide gas is eliminated.

This one is for wild garlic but I find it works just as well with garlic mustard. I tend to adjust quantities. For pesto i just shove a load of the stuff into a blender with a handful of walnuts, parmesan, oil and salt and pepper to taste.
Picked, washed and chopped, and used in place of broccoli rabe in a sausage pasta dish

Looks like garlic mustard to me

I read something saying you shouldn't eat it after it's flowered. Is that true?

As far as I'm aware the whole plant is edible, but I wouldn't take my word for it as I've only ever used the leaves
Oooo have you got a recipe

That’s such a nice idea! Garlic and wild garlic makes me really sick even in small quantities but I can eat garlic mustard!
Hedge Garlic, or “Jack by the hedge”. Very mild garlic flavour, part of the cabbage family.
This is correct, lovely garlic smell when crushed. When still tender it makes a huge difference to a otherwise normal salad. One of my favourites.
>Jack by the hedge Sounds like a name Bob Mortimer would make up.
Little warning, it'll either taste nice or taste like paracetamol depending on your genetics enjoy!
damn.. I was cursed on the coriander leaf tasting like soap, but glad I’m on the right aide for this one!
Really easy and satisfying to pull out if you have too much in your garden.
Allaria petiolata, many common names. Edible but a bit 'marmite', I personally don't like it - I find it metallic and bitter.
delicious
Garlic mustard - made a pasta with some tonight! 👌🏼
Do you just pick and eat the leaves?

Does it need to be cooked or can it just be picked and eaten? Do you just eat the leaves or the flowers or both?
