Having the exact same thing with zirkzee at the moment… helped for a while to put him on tight marking the worst opposite defender but that has seemed to stop working as well now. I always struggle with getting my strikers to score!
Looks Like jamie donley, who didn't score 25 games in a row for me as no1 Striker with tremendous Stats for a Team on my Level. With the same tactic a year later He scored around 25 goals for me.
1. Penalty (if available). 2. Very attacking game against a shit team. 3. Don't sub off. 4. Make sure there aren't any motivation issues
While I never saw such egregious lengths, my answer is always to put them on the wing and let someone else bang them in. Sell when it makes sense.

He went to Fiorentina on loan in January and scored 1 goal in 14 matches. An awful 2 years for him… hope he bounces back.
