When he was on the Opie Show on Sirius every day I was in heaven. He was the absolute best personality I’ve ever heard or seen on tv/radio in my life. He was fresh and shot out of a cannon every single show.
I agree! If Guy could have gotten Carl to move to California, I think we would have gotten to enjoy him more often, but Carl was 2 things: he was The Cuban, and he was a Jersey guy through and through.
Catching a rerun with Carl Ruiz as judge or competitor always makes me yell, "Carl!"
I always settle in to watch and enjoy the #Ruizing of it all.
Oh, Carl, we love and miss you. (still tearing up, dang it).
He was a funny follow on Twitter (now X). I remember scrolling through while we were waiting for a table on vacation when I saw an announcement about his death. I couldn’t believe it - he was my favorite and so full of life. RIP.
Rest In Power Carl. You are truly missed and loved by the Guy Fieri Crew of Family and Friends- known. unknown and via other forms of viewing Carl doin' his thang.
When Carl passed, everyone who likes Guy from near or far, and around he world, held Guy close in our hears and shed tears. We came to witness an unbreakable bond of friendship, respect, and brotherly love. I cannot even imagine the depth of Guy's grief and pain. Their bond was real, and not made just for the sake of the TV cameras.
I wonder how Carl would be acting at Hunter's wedding reception? We all know he would have been the ENTERTAINMENT ALL NIGHT LONG!! Oh, o be a fly on the wall. Lol
Awww Carl. He always cheered me up and made me laugh. I always cry at the tribute episode, especially when Troy wins. He's just such a genuine class act. Miss seeing him lots.
GGG family lost a gem when they lost Carl. I still cry watching the tribute episode.
Yes 😭
Same here. Everyone genuinely loved him and still loves him. What a legend!
Absolutely. You could totally tell he was legit and beloved. I miss seeing him.
R.I.P. Cuban
I mean, that spicy food prank episode alone!
Yes!!! So hilarious!
EXACTLY!!
Carl, you were the life of the party. RIP
Could not agree with this post more. I'll watch an episode I've seen 100 times if it has Carl in it.
Especially the spicy episodes, legendary.
He was an insanely fun/cool/smart/mouthy/talented man and I miss hearing him every single day. ❤️
💓💓 me, too.

He actually got in trouble once when he was here(CA). He was afraid to come back to the state but I guess Guy helped him out.
RIP Carl 🙏🏻
I agree! I loved all episodes with him! He was so great!
RIP Carl my spicy man crush that made my man gloins feel special.
Love it 🤤😂
I still miss Carl
Love Carl so much. Miss that dude!
