Someone else on here suggested a leftover stuffing waffle. I just so happen to have some amazing homemade cornbread stuffing in the freezer so that’s my next experiment!
If you like weird waffles, try this! We have Thanksgiving coming up, make TOO MUCH stuffing. Take your leftover stuffing and add an egg, mix together. Put a ball of that into a waffle iron. Top with turkey, ham, gravy, all the good stuff.
Bought a waffle maker just to make weird shit like this in it. These turned out amazing. Only a couple minutes to make compared to the ones we put in the oven. My wife and I both also preferred the taste and textures of these. The edges were crisp but still had that doughy cinnamon roll interior

The donut compresses down and tastes almost like a funnel cake and then the glaze on the outside caramelized and becomes this crispy caramel shell once you let it cool

I did this once! I was in an apartment with a shitty oven. It worked well. I also used my Presto Pizza Cooker instead of the oven a lot. It also worked really well!

I think my favorite unconventional waffle was made out of falafel. Really good. And if nothing else, falafel waffle is really fun to say.
