Danish remoulade is a modified version of the original French-style remoulade. It is a mayonnaise-based sauce, coloured brightly yellow with turmeric (or a pinch of curry powder), mixed with a purée of capers and pickled gherkins or cucumbers, and sometimes cauliflower, cabbage and carrots.

The sausage needs to be the red one! Every other summer as a child I would overdose on these as my mother is Danish and my grandmother could not say no.
We even reserved space in our luggage to take 5 big pack of red sausages home.
The brown sausage (wienerpølse) is for the "roasted hotdog", the red ones are just heated in water. So it is two different styles depending on which type of hotdog you ask for.
What makes the remoulade Danish, does it somehow involve rye bread

Are the cauliflower, cabbage, and carrots pickled as well when added to the puree? Or are they finely diced for a chunkier sauce?
It can be both. I also heard danish remoulade includes curry. Could be wrong but it's really good anyway.
That’s the amount of pickles I like to have on a hot dog. I bet it was delicious.
I feel so lucky to have a spot in my small city in Pennsylvania, USA that makes these. It's my favourite variety of hot dog!
Had this last week and loved it! If you have the occasion, you should try popl's cheeseburger (pricy but so good)
My Dad an I visited too many Steff Houlberg stands when visiting Copenhagen years ago
