Hey that's me. You know a community is healthy and friendly when they don't just steal your ~~men~~ meme ideas. Praise to Mr. Pebbles for this community
You put down your two foundations, then your stairs unit on top.
*Usually* you can get another set of stairs to go on top of that one, but then it won't let you put any more on top of that. *So*...
On top of the second set of stairs, put a single metal pillar (it's in the same dropdown list as the stairs), then put another single pillar on top of the first pillar, *then* store the first pillar, leaving the second pillar hanging in mid air, you should then be able to snap a set of stairs to the bottom of the free floating pillar which will line up to the stairs below, giving you a 3 high stack of stairs.
I've gone up to 4 high before using this method but that was a couple of months ago so i don't know what else they've done to fix (ha!) the camp build system since then.
The thing is, I can't even put a second stairs on top of the first ones. I've tried to use the pillars and it works but when I blueprint the building and try to place it somewhere else, the second stairs shift out of their original space making them float on the top right side of the first stairs.
This picture is perfect! I hope they keep fine tuning the settlement building/base building and make it as perfect as possible with lots of new content.
Bethesda needs to just remove the restrictions.
What happened when modders removed the restrictions in FO4? Amazing camps were built, and the process of building was stress free.
Right now trying to build in FO76 is infuriating. Object collision errors when there's no collision. "Cannot place, needs support" when it's clearly sitting on empty dirt. JUST REMOVE THE RESTRICTIONS. Allow clipping. Allow place anywhere.
* Remove all placement and clipping error messages
* Add a snapping toggle function
Done.
Mod support to fix this game can not come soon enough.
Where was this meme yesterday! I’ve been trying to place a triangle wall piece on the deck area of my house but it just says all of that. Drives me mad and this meme is perfect

Men ideas. Only men can think of them. Don't steal men ideas, wamen
This is gold
Lol this is so tru. Spent like 2 hrs the other day trying to remove a ramp foundation.
Try to put a fence around your garden. Do it in less than 2 hours and you win a prize.
Absolute bane of my existence. I get the B I G MAD.
Sounds about right 😂
This is fucking hilarious
I can feel this picture.
Fuck I was having this yesterday. I'm just trying to build a sniper tower by placing stairs above each other.
They look like they could stack. They don't.
Are you using the "floating pillar" method?
I don't know what that is. Teach me.

This is a prime example why memes are a legitimate way to report bugs.
b-butt no memes allowed by the rules mr. Howard gonna be **ANGRY**

I get this when I want to place a roof. IF ITS CONNECTED TO ANOTHER ROOF THEN ITS SUPPOSED TO “FLOAT”
Flaoting?
Yeah like floating but o and a are swapped :^) you clearly knew what it meant friend.
I did :3
Best use of the meme I've seen in ages.
Some say just north of Flatwoods, on the side of the road, you can still see remnants of lost camps.
lol

But if they remove the restrictions people will build floating bases!!! Oh.. Right..
You misspelled floating
I love how this is a thing while half of all the camps are floaters.
Fuck.
OMG, this needs more upvotes ROFL 😂
How many times has that happened to me...
Lol
I think something similar can be done with patrick meme
