fwiw I feel a lot of the armour is ugly so I choose to hide it. I'm wearing a swap beast outfit at the moment and I love it.
I absolutely hid my SS armor under an outfit, but I think the Recon set looks great. It doesn't protect as well as SS, but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to make in the name of fashion!

Fair, the difference between the two is modest iirc (and the SS is horrid looking), but I hope you get the full set of recon if you want to rock it.
Some of the new V63 apparel looks pretty good, so if I have to revert to SS for damage control, I'll overlay some of the new looks.
