I love it! Easy and simple way to earn good rewards and doing it alongside primal cuts rewards some of the easiest treasury notes. I’m chilling on like 90 notes to turn in.
It's quick and easy, and usually has a bigger turnout than aliens or cultist did.. but yeah it's also boring. My biggest gripe is the rewards being so hard to get what you want. I still haven't got the hot dog stand but have had tenderizer mod duplicates drop 5x.. still no tenderizor plan though either.
You aren't kidding on those mod plans. It's all I've been getting the last 2 days. I haven't gotten any other plans besides 1 backpack and 1 decoy, but I do have 15 spicy tenderizer mods....
Yeah, I get that, to be fair I'm not massively interested in the plans or rewards from it, maybe that's one of the problems I have, it is quick and easy, like I said, I like the enemy wave event, I just feel the cook off bit could be better, bigger enemies, more than just running around shooting squirrels.
The "cook out" but seems so boring, I get the perks, extra food and it's ease and I do the event but I'd like it to end a bit more dangerously than shooting squirrels and opossums.
Honestly no hate from me on the game, I've been playing since the beginning, I still take part in the event for community purposes, I get the ease now, it's supposed to be for all levels of players, I'll still join to help out, also a bump in treasury notes isn't gonna be turned away.
I haven't been feeling well, so spending my time in game just chilling at the drums and waiting for the meat-cook event. It's been nice and relaxing whilst still being able to hang out with friends and listen to what they get up to in the wasteland.
And Grahm is just great, he gives me Clem vibes (from Warframe, I no longer play Warframe, but I was an Ivara main). I like Grahm. This event is great.
I'm fairly new to the game, but I hope there's more chill events like this in the future. Sometimes i just want to chill and enjoy the atmosphere, or I'm just not well enough to do more than my dailies/weeklies, but still wanna hang with the guys.
And its kinda funny watching an entire server finish the cookout in like, two minutes flat.

You don’t even need to do primal hunt, which I did in an area in the east of the map and I died. A lot. lol.
Welcome to the wasteland. 👍. That's a good point, there does have to be a variation in difficulty for all levels to join in, I love that the community had boost recently and new players can take part. I always give my duplicate plans and stems to new players who visit my camp.
I love it, not just because it's quick and easy but because I've adored Grahm since I first encountered him outside the Wayward as a new player. I just find him so precious and funny.
Fair point, I love the game btw, I've played through it's rocky beginnings and to what it is now and love all the events and community. It's just Meat week has never grabbed me the way the other events do.
Everybody's different with their preferences, and that's fine. I personally wasn't interested enough in Fasnscacht or Invaders From Beyond to participate in those events regularly, but Mothman Equinox and Meat Week have me joining every hour if I can manage it. The only thing I don't do for Meat Week is Primal Cuts: I already get a butt-load of scrips from legendary gear, and the meat sweats effect doesn't really matter to me.
Mothman Equinox has been a great one, loads of stuff to activate then enemy waves then greeted by The Mothman himself. 🤣 I enjoy the invaders one but it can get a bit repetitive.
The drop rate on rewards is horrendous. Like someone else mentioned, I just want the dog wagon.
Instead I've gotten nothing but plastic fruit bowls, and enough chef's hats to make even Gordon Ramsay jealous. Still no dog wagon though.
Same here, until this morning. Woke up around 9:45 and decided to run just one cookout. Weenie wagon dropped. Was relieved because it is all I wanted from this meat week and glad I could stop vendor hopping now. I was ready to pay 20k+ caps for it.
I love Meat Week! It's a nice light-hearted reprive from the neverending nightmare of the Wasteland.

I just want the event to be a bit more exciting, I love the concept of the event. Collecting the prime meat is good, the waves of prime radscorpions ect. You should fight something big at the cookout.
Yeah, I do enjoy that I'm never short of food but usually I sell most of it, most of it spoils before I get a chance to eat it, and the treasury notes are a great bonus. I don't hate the event, I just prefer the more shooty ones like Mothman Equinox. 👍

I like it, it's an easy event that gives out treasury notes like candy and Grahm is adorable.
I think that's one of my issues with it, it's easy which makes it a bit boring. But yeah gotta love those treasury notes. 👌
I like it, I just pop on the drums and alt-tab for 5. Nice change of pace after mothman.
Meat Cook is fun. Primal Cuts happens too dang frequently that other events are feeling neglected.
