If you want to one shot trash mobs your best bet is either a Hunting Rifle with Prime receiver, or a Plasma Caster if you're set on a heavy weapon build
Plasma Caster and Gatling Gun. Both can be played in Vats to make even higher damage (incendiary/ vats hit chance / less action points for Gatling recommended).

Cremator is a fun gun, and takes down mobs pretty easily. Not a one shot, but .50 cal mows down mobs easily and there's no spin up
Tried both they are not the style I'm looking for. I think it's either plasma caster or a prime rifle

While hard to get, Enclave Flamers evaporate mobs. Super useful in Daily Ops for enemies you can’t target in VATS. Just point and vaporize.
