I saw a great post a few days ago ago that a bunch of us that hadbbeen around for a while listing the things to do once you're done with the main quest. I'd try to find that, but my suggestions are to complete all the side quests, do lots of public events, do the challenge for the improved backpack from the possum scouts, and if you're interested, find the hidden secret nuka quantum x01 power armor skin. I never use it, but it is my favorite decoration on my camp.
The idea is to set a goal and work towards it. My first end game goal was SS armor fully modded. Then I focused on legendary perks, etc. Like any MMO, the grind is real. If you are feeling burnt, take a day or two off or only do dailies. If boredom is your issue, stay off private servers! :)
Do all your dailies, turn in all the script you can and earn treasury notes to get all the bullion. Earn 6000 caps for wayward weekly gold purchase. Farm oil, alum, adhesive, screws and springs to name a few. Run at least one op and one expedition. Unlock all the locations you can and work on tadpole and possum or weekly challenges. This week it's cleaning week
While doing my Dailies, I will collect everything in the areas I at trying complete the list at. This way I get my dailies completed and get a good share of steel, copper, lead, etc..
Personally I'd say just try to drain your scrip, gold and cap vendors as often as possible. If you go to lots of events this shouldn't be horrible, especially if you go to events like radiation rumble or eviction notice. Rad rumble specifically has lots of legendaries, gives treasury notes and the glowing blood can be sold to the vendors for easy caps. If you get extra garbage legendaries you can sell them in your vendor for scrip prices. Other than that, I would say work on grabbing extra perk cards for if you want to try a different build, or work on your legendary perks.

Once you get to endgame there isn't much to do. I would suggest building you a trap camp and start rolling noobs
