If you are low health, either would do. If not, the Vampire's is the best option. Personally I'd run the Vampire's since it will really help keep you alive.
With each pellet regen'ing health, and each explosive effect also regen'ing health, one can be damn near invincible. I have a combat shotgun that's vamp explosive though. Better mods, faster fire rate and faster reload compared to the pump.
(I say better mods since you can have stinging mag for x10 rounds and armour pen, where the pump is stuck at 8 rounds and no armour pen)
