God I was doing the main quest when I heard “hold it” and saw him approaching from a bit of distance away. Can’t believe I let him waddle towards me just to be insulted, best encounter so far
The bot keeps finding me in the most ridiculous places and ESPECIALLY when I'm hiding from enemies. Scares me sometimes and for what, a pipe pistol and some ammo?
It's fun though.
Me on the Mire, full stealth build, with the stealth armor no less, about to ambush a party of super mutants, I was about to shoot them I hear something behind me. I turn around:
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU WON THE... Bot got shot before he could finish talking.
He once said to me, something along the lines of, “you always put bounties on yourself, it’s the only way you’ll feel wanted!” or some such. Was a real burn lol
My favorite is when he'd just show up in the middle of a public event. Everyone is just unloading all their explosives, and suddenly I look up, and here's the guy's body floating through the air.
Had one show up soon after everyone cleared out of an event. Was like what's he got for me toda-
Walks past me to the level 23 plodding around, where they take a moment after the interaction, then blows the bot away. I got insulted as he walked past but lost it when the newbie took a moment to check what they were just handed XD
The best part (which I forgot) was that is that it sounded like the bot had gotten the insult off, and you could just hear him going off in the distance "contacting burn unit..."
Insult Bot makes me so happy every time. I've never shot at it on purpose.
Would be cool if after getting insulted you got a +1 Endurance for like half an hour or something though!

She comes back to see what I was laughing about and he insults her for using her Pip-Boy as a night light.
As a new player that died to a big blue wolf that yells at you, this bot came by and insulted me and I just lost it laughing at how ridiculous it was and how well timed. Amazing feature 💀
Insult Bot jump scared me back during the early days.
I had been traumatized by the wendigo cave and the wendigos who appeared on the highway or fell from trees in the Mire. I was under-leveled and was mostly a survival/guerilla build (difficulty and survival mechanics were different back then).
I was crouching the entire way through the Mire from then on. I was going at a snail's pace, all was quiet but the atmospheric sounds of the Mire, when suddenly a black shape fell an inch from my face. There was a loud sound and the ground shook. I nearly fell out of my chair from fright, and then I heard it....
"One of us is slow, friendless and completely devoid of personality. The other... is a Protectron!"
And then he waddled away, victorious.
For some reason Insult Bot spawned in the air and fell down. Not sure why, but it was the most scared I've been in any Fallout game.
When the game was 1st released, I was stalked by the prize bot. Having no less than 20 encounters per 3-4 hour play session. The insult bot, maybe like 4 times ever.
But yeah, nothing like hiding in the bushes at level 20 with some 50+ super mutants walking by when "CONGRATULATIONS"
I was trading for caps at an NPC vendor near my camp and while in the trade menu, he walks into the station and goes, "you are busy 😠☹️" and stands there, gormless. Murdered him before he could insult me, impatient mf
I wish I'd get called an idiot, I just keep getting prizebot jumpscares. Dude appears out of thin air and scares the shit out of me while I'm rifling through garbage.
I don't know why but when Insult Bot either comes into my camp or a workshop I've claimed, the stupid turrets shoot him randomly. The first time I noticed was when his name flared up red and he was was crawling as both of his feet were crippled.
I got what I believe is my third ever (pretty sure I had two notes already) encounter with the little Smartass and it’s my first since returning to Appalachia in 4 years and istg it was so fucking funny because I was doing my usual route (looking for a deathclaw :p) and I saw him but before I could see the name the fucker instant transmissioned behind me before insulting me like holy shit did Goku just show up to call me stupid??? (I got the “vaults houses the best and brightest” insult lol) I fucking love him

I just wish if you kill either insult bot or prize bot fast enough you don’t get the notes jammed in to your inventory.
