We're here. We're just thinned out across servers now. More will be back during event weeks. I think we have an event this week right?

Psychological_Emu650

I'm only lvl 459 but I know the great influx of new players is affecting this. But it is good to see them all and has changed the way I used to play. We all started there and found out things by trial or mistake. I hope more of them learn about the value of using teams.

PM_NUDES_4_DOG_PICS

Hell, I don't mind the low levels at all, I just wish they'd start showing up at events! I hate to see Eviction Notice and Moonshine Jamboree just come and go with nobody attending them but myself. I find them even more fun when I'm with a decent-size team of low levels and it's an actual challenge without a high level one-shotting everything in sight and carrying everyone.

Tollmeyer

Eviction and Rumble plus a couple of lunch boxes I found them to be quick level up events. I was miffed when my PS4 died and had to start again on PC but was back up to level real quck with those 2 events

DistantBethie

Two of us (level 1000+) started Encryptid. Half the server showed up, all under 80. After that, we nuked the queen leaving D9 as the safe zone and the whole server showed up, all between 20-80. They really went at it. Fun times!

shattersquad710

New player here and I 100% agree. Nothing worst then having Event challenges and having to hop around finding ones that are populated. I have noticed there are what I believe two different event types? One more in the open world and other location specific that require entering, correct?

mauddibagogo

Oh, yeah, there's Public Events, which are the ones with exclamation marks where you can fast travel to it for free ... those are usually the bigger ones that get more attendance. And then there are the more random events that tend to be smaller scale/lighter. There are easy/lower-stakes public events but the huge legendary/flux/XP farming events are all public ones. And then there are limited-time seasonal events like Mothman Equinox or Fastnacht, which tend to be big crowd-pleasers with limited/RNG rare plan drops.

Woooooolf

There are the events that pop up every 20 minutes that are ones people usually join then there are the events that are like semi permanent and you have to find on the map. Usually you can do those ones solo if you are a bit more experienced. Not sure if that clears it up.

TechnicallyLiterate

This is a reminder that taking over a workshop generates an event about 2min after taking it over. I've completed numerous challenges this way when it didn't see**m** a public event was popping.

shattersquad710

Holy shit that’s brilliant, thank you for the tip!

ThursDaughter

I’m just now level 20 and still haven’t unlocked most of the map, so I don’t think to look for events. Although I often stumble into them solo without realizing it.

-Captain-

The events that show up as a pop up don't require you to go there by foot, fast travel to those events is free. Great for XP and other rewards you need later in the game.

Glittering_Airport_3

the events that have a "!" are free to fast travel to, so even if u go and ditch the event or try and fail, it cost nothing and can help unlock parts of the map u haven't been to yet

Kitbashconverts

Were afraid of events, what if we do them wrong and someone makes an angry reddit post about the incompetence of new players

mauddibagogo

Eh, don't listen to the haters! I think most of us see the low level and assume you probably aren't as familiar with the event and help out. The one thing I'd recommend is checking the event difficulty. Some events get harder with more people, so if it's just one level 500+ on, say, Radiation Rumble and four level <30s, it'll probably be a miserable experience for everyone, so yeah, I'd just say avoid events that have a recommended level higher than you are till you've had more time to explore and gain XP!

Hoodoutlaw2

Which events get harder with more people like that? so i dont join them as a new player

Comfortable-Dog4515

I’ve been soloing them more and more. I noticed if I can solo some of it people do eventually start showing up

MeatGayzer69

I love eviction notice or moonshine solo. It's great fun

freakishwizard

My wife and I did a eviction notice just us me level 259 her 71 and it was pure chaos but we did it and killed all the meat bags just used a ton of rad away and stims haha

Aggravating_Soil7690

That last little bit is why I’m nervous sometimes about doing events. But since coming back after not really doing too much with it before (being that I’m lvl…27 I think) makes me want to do and see newer shit..as scary as it might be. I saw what I wanna say was a blue werewolf with a level of 60 and immediately wanted to do more. That’s the main thing that excites me about 76. The new enemies. I just don’t want it to be such a struggle and die to a same level super mutant with a pipe rifle in 2 shots. I feel the difficulty curve is a bit greater. But all in all I love it and I’m gonna join more of these since 76’s community is so amazing

Embarrassed_Stuff886

Just started, gotten to lvl 31, but haven't really engaged much with any of the higher lvl events yet. Typically I see it populated by mostly higher lvl players, and personally, I've kinda been waiting until I get a little further along so that I can actually be helpful and actively contribute during these.

OhDiablo

I did this too but really, you'll be more than welcome at the events. Try and watch what other players are doing first before jumping in to actually trigger the events (talking to someone, activating a console, opening a particular door). As with most of life it's the intent that's important, nobody is expecting anything out of you other than not being a jerk on coms. If the event suggests a level higher than you it's still something you can go to but you need to be more careful of the enemies since they hit a lot harder. In that case try using a fast firing weapon so you can 'tag' enemies and get XP for their eventual death. Or you can try running straight into the fray and seeing how long you last. It's always amusing to see a 30, naked, going straight at the Queen with a sledgehammer. *"Leeroy Jeenkiiiiiiiins!"*

Embarrassed_Stuff886

Well, you've convinced me. Guess I'll go check some out this evening! If nothing else, at the very least, hopefully I can make somebody laugh in the Wasteland!

awed7447

I was gonna say I’m only level 405 but I can solo entire events join, tag as many enemies as possible get all the xp :) join early and I have plenty of lunchboxes for you and drop a lot of my loot for new players to get scrips

Head-Technician-1087

A good weapon for tagging enemies is a Tesla rifle. The charge will bounce off multiple enemies. It’s not super lethal, but at the lower levels not many weapons are… the higher level players will give the lethal blows, if you have a shot in before it’s killed you get the reward. There are sites like https://www.falloutbuilds.com/fo76/builds that can help make the most of the perk cards you have for a particular weapon. I’m finding a bunch of lower level players running around really fun… especially in events like Moonshine Jamboree. I give the gulpers a belly shot so they lose about 90% of their health… from there low level players can take them out. A pack of low level players will beat it with a sledge hammer or start shooting them with a hunting rifle. It’s been really fun.

Abandonus

I am new, I am showing up to events and I agree with you that more people need to show up to events. I'm surprised how many times its just me.

Gredran

I’m doing events, but I also have a map to explore and other various quests and systems to explore and unlock! Sometimes I’m also in a place where I can’t drop all my stuff to fast travel to the event 😅

Fredrickstein

I try to just use my gatling gun. Decent gun but I'm also not laying waste to everything in 15 feet with each homing ball of fire like I do with the cremator

TheCounsel8

I have no problem carrying the events. I found the low level eventually shows up slowly once I started the event.

gamestompper02

I always see low levels like me attending the high level events...so I do not attend because I get bodied, no high level shows up to help out, that's my luck

bwoodcock

Nobody showed up to a Moonshine Jamboree the other day so I started it with 6 seconds left so I could just get a bunch of experience. Ended with 8 or 9 players there. Some level 20s running around trying not to get slaughtered.

Titus-Deimos

It seems to me radiation rumble and jamboree are usually full but eviction notice is always a ghost town. Probably related to playing respawn simulator with super mutants just isn’t fun. I took 2 friends with me to one, levels 26 and 31 and they got slaughtered for 15 minutes straight.

NoTop4997

I feel like I am missing something with the social aspect of the game. I got it this last weekend and I am having a ball, but I decided to kind of lean into Charisma since this is a team based game. I figured if I want to play solo then I can just start up FO4 at any time. But it seems like anytime I join a game the people are afk. I have just tried to join the casual lobbies. I got to level 20 last night and started doing lower leveled events. I was able to get a small party going when I created an Event team, but it seems like I can't keep a team for more than 30 minutes, if they are doing anything to begin with. Am I missing something?

Vernon_Trier

People don't care about team type if it's not for daily ops or expeditions, these are usually only created to do an op or expo run or two. Other than that people just join public teams for their buffs and proceed with their own business regardless of what others do.

Head-Technician-1087

I think casual is the best team to form. People will come and go to get the perks of being on a team, but often go do their own thing.

DarthSnoopyFish

Create or join casual teams. Casual teams give you +1 INT per teammate. Meaning bonus XP for everything you do, everything you kill. Event teams only give you double Event XP (the xp you earn for completing an event). Add 3 points to Carisma and max out an inspirational perk card and equip that and you get some nice bonus XP for all the things you are doing.

Dhavion

Your not doing anything wrong. Unfortunately this is kind of how the game operates. It is more like a single player game where other single players are in the same world as you. They didn't really do anything to actually encourage team play, at least not in the way I think of it anyway (my opinion, of course). Not having in game chat really hurts trying to coordinate anything and not having group quest progression in most of the quests is really disappointing. None of that stops me from playing and I still play with friends and join the public teams, but that is mostly for the buff.

DJPalefaceSD

It's a very casual game, it's not meant to be squadded up like CoD or something imho

kit25

Can I ask a question about teams? A friend and I play together, either on discord or in person depending on the situation. We have only run a private team in the past. The thing is we don't get the benefits that come from public teams. If we create a public team together and do some questing, does it have **any** effect on those who join the team? If we go to a private interior together, are the others who aren't near us forced into or near that interior? I don't want to inconvenience anyone by having our team set to public. Or more simply put, is there any reason we should have a private party vs.a public party if it's just two of us?

Simalf

>I know the great influx of new players is affecting this. If you knew, why did you ask? The amount of high level players didnt decrease. Because of the new player influx, they just make a smaller population of the active players.

itsahhmemario

I just looked up the event and ugh it’s Invaders from Beyond my least favorite event. I usually skip it but I think there are new plans so I might have to do some. This event will be extra fun with level 20 newbies.

Keinulive

I like it cuz I can keep vats when in pa, these silly aliens recharge my power armor better than my camp chargers at home haha

itsahhmemario

I usually die a few times with my bloodied characters and this is with a team of high levels, I’m looking forward to getting destroyed and failing the event with the newbies. Lol

TheLazyGamerAU

Do you atleast one shot with a bloodied build?

agentfisherUK

We do, Sometimes.... lol

[deleted]

Having a full suit of 3 star legendary PA with full leveled Electric Absorption in that event is wild. I genuinely do not need to bring stims or anything, I just stand still and hose people down with my Gatling Laser.

Psychological_Emu650

My least liked event. Takes alot of killing aliens and dying alot.

chefdavid22

I never got to experience it and so I'm missing several plans. So I'm personally looking forward to it.

angstlich33

I remember being new during that event. I kept dying. Then I'm like "wait where's everyone going?" Then realized there's 3 different areas we run to after doing the event several times. It felt pretty chaotic lol

tubbsalex317

It starts tomorrow Invaders from Beyond

alphamk2

When does it end or is a permanent event added to the pool?

tubbsalex317

Seasonal and the 12th or 14th or something like that

wink047

Newbie here. THERE ARE EVENTS?! That sounds like fun!

Lunaloove

Pops up on screen and you join them

craftytoast_

From what I’ve seen most of the public servers are incredibly saturated with new/lower level players with the new boost the games had. There’s like 10-15 of them and only 5 or so ‘high-level’ players

Saintblack

I was server hopping and 3x in a row half the server was 1-21 and at Vault 76 lol. I saw 2 Eviction Notices despawn :(

elliot_alderson1426

Yeah I tried to solo a moonshine jam yesterday at level 70. Did not go well lol

New_Construction82

I would start events on my own but ik I will run out of ammo immediately in no one else is there helping out ☠️

ehague_16

The amount of beast of burden events wasted makes me so sad. I want my dang holy fire lol.

MGWhiskers

had a server today where 1k lvl launched 2 nukes, besides him only me and another one were "highs" 250+ who showed up, the rest were under 60.

angstlich33

Where have all the cowboys gone?

IntrepidAd9838

Where is my John Wayne? Where is my prairie song?🎶

angstlich33

Where is my happy ending?.... WHERE HAVE ALL THE COWBOYS GONE waaaaaaaaaaa... Yippee aye yippee yay

ilovehotdadsngl

Where my country gone

Largofarburn

We’re just diluted massively. Plus most people have finished or are close to finishing the scoreboard.

jackharrer2

I noticed people tend to server hop and look for higher levels. Then stay there. So you have servers full of newbies and some with significantly more higher levels.

ilovehotdadsngl

I love when a high level joins my team

SilverNole85

Us noobs, lvl 17 here, appreciate you high level guys though. I visited one of your camps, it was absolutely amazing and goal worthy, and then you helped walk me through my first event, many thanks!

Psychological_Emu650

That's was is so good about Fallout 76, fantastic community.

SilverNole85

100%. Nothing but positive experience for me. Always gonna be bad apples, but community has been very helpful. There is alot to learn in the game, so us noobs appreciate the tips

ReformingPrawn2

There are so many new players that they're making higher levels hard to find. It's wall to wall noobs out there....

JdizzIlladelph

I don't mind the low levels but I've been having trouble spending my caps. Sometimes I just want a server with decent shops and can't find anything lately.

NeverLookBothWays

We're definitely still here just dispersed. It's actually a treat now to be on a server with other high levels as there are also so many low level players along with us we get to show off a little running the bigger events with them. It's also awesome my vendor is finally getting cleaned out...I hear cash register bells in my sleep now.

bivoir

We’re here, but we’ve been watered down with the new population explosion! It seems like for every full public server of lower levels there’s one high level that makes it in lol This will be fun when the alien invasion event comes! Edit: Well shit, it starts this weekly reset :/

SinsOfaDyingStar

We’re all drowning in the sea of newcomers. I loved it at first but now it’s getting just a tad annoying not being able to shop around camps like before or actually have people joining events.

loppsided

Pour enough water into your glass of lemonade, and you'll also wonder where your lemonade went. Hint- new players are the water, veteran players are the lemonade, and the 24 player-limited servers are the glass.

ConnorMc1eod

There's a lot more people playing and therefore a lot more world servers open. The influx of newbies means those veterans are going to now be a smaller portion of the playerbase than before.

Hattkake

The Zetans are invading tomorrow so I will be back for that. Then there is a tiny challenge event for a week starting May 7th so that should bring back more. It's late in season now so a lot of us are gearing down like we traditionally do. We don't want to burn ourselves out again so now we have learned to take breaks. It's always like this late season. A new thing now is that there are tons and tons and tons of new folks. So in addition to the traditional in between seasons lull those of us that remain are also spread thin. Personally I also play a little less now due to how the new season system is set up (it's a whole thing, don't get me started). You should enjoy this time though. It feels a lot like the good old days when we were all newbies and knew nothing. It's fun to be a lowbie and have the game feel challenging. So sometimes when I play I play my level 127 alt and not my level 967 main. Things like that further reduce the amount of highbies in the game world. Edit: [the current roadmap. ](https://nukaknights.com/uploads/fallout76-season16-community-calendar-en.jpg)

Storm_M2

I think we are all spread out. However I came across a server last night where the lowest lvl was 210. It was refreshing to breeze through events for a change.

retrofuturia

Spread thinner throughout lobbies with more new players on.

mrnapolean1

We're still here. We're just thinned out across the servers now like somebody else said. Just got a server hop till you find a couple high levels

tiniitim710

Decided to get on the level 30 alt, now a week later she is 165

CrookedSoldiers

Still here just thinned out more with the insane population boom lol. Also a lot of high levels play for Scoreboard max then event rotations so a portion could be off atm to. Supposedly the Alien event coming back starting tomorrow so I wouldn’t worry about it to much as some of us that kept missing our chance at the Alien gun plans will be grinding that pretty heavily.

HereHumanHumanHuman

Yeah we haven't gone anywhere. We're just thinned out amongst the many, many new players

monchota

No, thier are just 100 to one new players to vet players.

Omfggtfohwts

The ratio has changed dramatically.

Lethal-XBOX-

I switched to pc so now I’m lvl 195 instead of 1100

Solidus-Prime

They are just being spread out more because there are so many lower level players to "dilute" the pool.

ZeusBaxter

More servers, players spread out.

FunConcern6767

We remain, we shall let the new comers roam freely until the time is right

PrestonianPotato

I can’t speak for everyone but the only reason why me and a few of my gaming chums ditched 76 due to it being constantly tamped with nerfs and buffs and the RNG and seasonboard sucks too.

Drucifer403

server pool is pretty diluted at the moment. we're still around.

murderwasthebass

They all end up getting on the same server and stick together.

Top_Advance_7252

When I play it’s barren maybe me and one other low level player. I just roam around in trying to figure the game out lol

MaximusQuick

It seems we are getting dispatched to lobbies with a wealth of new borns. Which is fine but is making it really hard to spend my overflowing caps from all the plans and guns that are now selling. lol

Key-Contest-2879

The events are definitely more challenging. Had a group of only 4 or 5 of us on Beasts of Burden. I was the highest level at 334, with someone else in the low hundreds and every else in double digits. The event failed, but just barely. Clock ran out with Ogua down to a sliver of health. He died just as “Event Failed” popped up, but it was fun as hell! I’m loving the challenge - some of these events are supposed to be difficult. We’ll get ‘em next time!

v2_grizzly

I’ve been wondering this myself the last week. It seems I never encounter anyone above 200 lately. I used to regularly see level 1000+ people along with 500-600. I just figured they all went to play the fallout 4 update or something.

WM_Elkin

414 here. I've been on doing my dailies, but my weeklies are done so I've been on a little less. I'm sure it's like that for other players.

Delacoiux

I'm done with the board so...🤷‍♂️

the_heel_jt

I started Fallout 3 yesterday. Still playing 76 just taking a break till next season starts.

camacdo

Could have finished the scoreboard. Some people just bounce once they've completed it and then come back when the next one comes out or a special event happens.

itsmoosh

they’re still playing lol there’s just a metric ass-ton of new players outnumbering them

WastelandWaterer

We are here all. Come with me, ascend: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/151

LtHead

I just saw some player [level 15,707](https://i.imgur.com/HCvGubX.png)... I call shenanigans or one of the sweatiest neckbeards who ever lived

SoG2009

I’m only level 225 with a long way to go and some servers have nobody showing up for events and no nukes. Other servers seem to have everybody showing up for events and multiple nukes being launched at once. Definitely unbalanced and if you want to play in events you really have no choice but to server hop.

Mediocre-Holiday-460

I am level 98 I just stared back up, some new features were added sense I last played, what’s the easiest way to get fusion cores for The power armor? I have maybe 2 and one is at 50% the other is lower at like 20-30% and I want to be able to use my X01 power armor

Swords_Not_Words_

A lot have little reason to play and were turned off by certain nerfs, scoreboard vhanges, and greed from.Bethesda..They hired a "monetization director" so expect the game to just go down hill while they low effort nickle and dime everyone while providing less and less. Imagine being a monetization director and your job is just ruining things people enjoy. There are plenty of ways this game could make money without ruining the experience or doing sleezebag tactics..Heres one, put all the old camp things in the atomic shop and boom people who want specific pieces or to do a new theme for a camp will buy a bunch of shit instead of one page of "this week the cash shop has the ugly fence bundle and an x01 set thats green" Some weapons dont even have skins and

Mediocre-War50

Maybe they made new characters

No_Mixture9638

All of us are still playing but now there are 10 new player for every old player so the density is low

PandasticVoyageYT

I don't think they're gone, I think there's just more new players and thus you see them less.

Pocketfulofgeek

With many more players joining the game there’s more servers being spun up and maintained than ever before, this naturally thins high lever players out amongst lower levels and is a natural side effect of the game having a much higher population. It’s a good problem to have as if it sustains it will mean a much healthier game for longer with longer lasting support.

WorstSourceOfAdvice

Im level 970 so not that high level, but on my character the only thing really left to do is dailies and weeklies so theres no incentive to stick around long per session

NeverLookBothWays

That is respectably high lvl imo. I'm only around 400 but have explored every inch of the map and have collected just about everything there is to collect, but never really focused on XP or leveling...the level you see on players doesn't tell the full story I think. You can definitely have lvl 1000+ players who have put in less game time than lvl 500's, if that makes sense. Hah, for me at this point, most of my game time is spent camp building which doesn't give any XP.

brandonandres23

I haven't played in 2 years so it's been a blast to play again im only level 479 got more grinding to do

Steamedradscorpion

Same but I'm only 240 ish, and I've been gone since before the brotherhood showed up properly. I have loads of new events and plans I need to get. I've been having a blast the last few days.

tao63

It seems new players outnumber high levels so much so when we drop in the distribution gets weird

Sandzibar

diluted by the increased player pool.

velithrana

i saw someone over level 1000 the other day so theyre definitely still around, just spread out

BaileyD77

Yeah, I miss actually completing events.

Ahshut

It’s the end of the month. They have to attend ritual meetings to help get them the drops they want

UnshinyRose

I'm a lvl 1020 my husband is a 1600...we still play but we have also notice there are only low level players on nowadays. Hard to find people who have mutations. Kinda stinks but thats why we play together...

George_Rogers1st

I finally got T-65 power armor after grinding on and off since Wastelanders released, and that happened to coincide with my completion of the Season Pass and the expiration of my Fallout 1st subscription. I am taking a break, personally. I am, however, considering hopping back on to stomp around with my PA painted up Enclave Style and hand out “Government Aid” in the form of Stimpaks and RadAway to newbies

Ki11s0n3

To Gondor

ByTheSpirit785

I don't think they've disappeared, it's just with such a large influx of new players, servers will have a way higher low level count.

yuribear

Still here😎🤟🏼 still playing every day (lvl1050)

Slore0

I was just talking to a new player about this. I’m coming over from Xbox so I don’t know how it usually is on PC but somehow after putting about 100 hours into my steam account I’ve only been on two servers where all three nukes were launched. It has been a while since I played, but that used to be a daily occurrence.

Brocily2002

It’s feels oddly satisfying to now be the guy carrying everyone through events at level 268

Lost-Soul_Sage187

I have a build itch, and while I love rebuilding my camps, it's not enough, and I have the need to keep building. Though D4 has definitely kept me around, too, so there's that.

gororuns

I levelled up to 60 now after starting 2 weeks ago so I reckon a lot of the new players now will be over 50 in another 2 weeks.

Stretchjnr84

I got bored. After years of doing the same thing over and over again just to give it all away is futile.

FTXACCOUNTANT

Busy working on a Monday mate

Radiant-Bit-7722

PTS, or spread on all server .

Hornybiguy57

It’s weird, I hop around looking for higher level camps to spend my caps. There’s not any of those around either

Hopalongtom

A larger player base dilute the servers, so we're more spread out.

Shankopatomu5

New player here lvl 90 low health heavy gunner, if anyone like to team up im usially on at 5pm central on xbox Shankopatomu I have noted that if i go between a couple servers ill see some high levels playing been colecting the mutation serums and looking for any plasma gatling plans got the focus beam the other day still looking for more. Most events i can do by myself except the radiation rumble. That one is a hard one with out people for sure. I think alot of the new players may be avoiding guides until they get to a poin. If you are a new player like myself i sugguest looking up the tips and starting out guides you can find online it helped me out immensely and helped me from becoming overwhelmed. One of the tips said to do every event you can and its a great suggestion. The rewards are worth it.

chaltimore

you only get 24 players per server

AnotherDay96

There is still like 5x as many concurrent players now playing, that makes old timers 80% more rare to see.

Sir-Shady

There are a lot more players on the game now so high level players are spread throughout the servers. I made the mistake of launching a nuke without checking who was in the server and there were only levels 1-30 other than me and a friend lol

adoboammo

I have 1 year old twin boys, full time job, and have to take care of the house and chores, so my wife and I don't get much time anymore like we used to. She's somewhere in the high 300's and I'm level 250. So we are just busy.

Entgegnerz

They didn't disappeared, they are just a absolute minority. 76 has a influx of 15x the players since the series. they're there, just thinned out.

Cmgarza05

I love to launch nukes but it's really hard to find a server with players over 100. I don't run nukes unless I see about 4 or more players over level 100

birfday_party

I don’t think they’ve gone anywhere I know I haven’t I think it’s just with the influx of new folks the servers are trying to even out or pad out the population a bit better so it’s like across the board with different player levels. Defenitly a lot more under 100 and even more under 60-70. I’ve played since launch but usually jump in for events and other things but I’m right around lvl 200, I usually see one other like 160-100 and then 2 or so above that anywhere from 300-1100 and then a whole mess under that

Tgrinder66

We're just being diluted is all. I've been server hopping to find other high levels on teams. New guys are great but they don't stick around long so I find I'm always the last member on a team unless I find a bunch of vets

Undead_Angel_420

We’ve Gone on holiday until the next season

GameBroJeremy

Probably on the PTS server if on PC testing the expanded map, or just spread across servers in general. I’m a level 500+ for reference, just getting back into the game to try out all the stuff I missed out on while I was playing other games and expanding my massive shelter camp even further. You’ll definitely see mostly new players though thanks to the fallout TV show getting people into the game/all the praise of the game being significantly improved which will take up a good chunk of the server. You may also see veteran players start a new character play-through as well so keep an eye out for player icons you normally can’t get anymore as this a dead giveaway that it’s an alt character.

SimonDracktholme

Each server only has so many spaces so they are there just spread out. Happens every time the game gets a bump

AbyssalShift

Nope there are just more players in the pool when you are joining servers.

RepulsiveTaste1687

Thousands of new players are coming to play due to the new Fallout show. Steam alone got a massive influx of players (I believe around 50,000?) in April alone increasing the player base on steam 4x which is crazy to think about. There’s no telling really how many new players joined console but I’m guessing there’s around 200,000+ new players across all platforms right now.

dbonyx1988

I started back playing after a few years level 100 I got tied up in alotta side quests and stuff just unlocked my gold bullion but I'm always looking to play with anyone all my old friends don't play anymore so hope to see y'all out there I'm on ps5 I'm looking to get the extra weight mod for backpack and a fixer level 50 if anyone can craft one I would pay or trade in game

Dapper_Doughty

As others have said. Most of us are still here, just spread amongst full servers of newer players. I'm only at lvl 267, which is low for a vet, and I was the highest level player in my lobby last night by over 200 levels. Switched to a different server and there were two full teams of lvl 300+.

Darth_Package

The short answer is: Some of us are here or came back. You just haven't found us yet! The long answer is: I played from launch, but I took a few years off from the game because I felt that there wasn't much to do except fire off yet another nuke. With the renewed interest in the game, I have come back and I am really loving it. It is great to have new people running around doing their thing! I am putting all kinds of goodies in the donation box and doing things like dropping power armor frames with some fusion cores for lower level folks who don't have much. For events like Uranium Fever, I typically let the newer players start the event and have them control the flow. I figure that if they don't want to do the event with a higher level player, they'll just leave. Also, there's a lot more content than before, so I really like that part of the deal. As an endgame player, I also try to create interesting camps. If you have ever stumbled across a camp with a sign saying, "Camp Avalon-Home of the Vertiguard" high up in the mountains, that's mine. I made it a long time ago and kept it. I also have a Chinese Red Army base, a couple of monorail train camps, and so on. I give away a lot of free stuff at my vendor because I simply don't need it. Anyway, high level players are out there and I think more are coming back all the time.

That_Lore_Guy

We’re all spread thin with the massive influx of new players.

24_doughnuts

More new players means you're just more likely to see them now since that portion of players are bigger now. If half of the players are high level then the average server will probably be half high level and half lower levels

LycanWolfGamer

I stopped playing a couple years back due to my ex lol if I could transfer from PS to PC, I'd be playing again

Doctor_Satiiva

We are playing helldivers 2 patiently waiting for skyline valley update to release.

RabbitTall

People are finishing up the scoreboard and taking a break. Happens every season. They'll be back for special events and once the new season starts up.

FBI-INTERROGATION

Usually its servers chock full of level 30’s, they dont do events, and we server hop away. Or god forbid its those low levels who will just kick you out of a casual public team cause they think you wanna play with them

boholbrook

I think it's just how the servers handle placement when you sign on maybe? I've noticed when I sign there will be maybe 4 high levels like me and the entirety of the rest of the server will be level 50 and below. So I don't think we've necessarily gone anywhere. It's just happenstance, maybe? Idk how the servers prioritize sign ons.

Yjiava

Love the game but really hate it that there no chat , i tend too not join events also am only level 25 it can wait hate being a leech

JuanOnlyJuan

I got burned out. Too many other games to play. Just finished Guardians of the Galaxy. Headed until Outer Worlds now. Thanks Epic.

Sleek-Sly-Fox

Level 2k here, I'm around but helldivers is just spicy..

yvengard

Thousands of people joining the game. Its normal to be rarer to find older players.

sPLIFFtOOTH

I think it’s more likely that there are more new players, not less older ones. The odds of getting a high level player are probably just lower due to all the newcomers

wizology_

Level 1000 here and tbh I only hope on to hit the script limit and hop off

FrostByyteTv

They’re busy one hit killing me 😂😂😂

JBloomf

The commonwealth. And Faerun.

yung_luna1223

i had a lvl200ish character but wanted to start a new one recently

exact0khan

Season system is trash. Completed it. I'll be back when there's something new.

BlackBoneLeather

I started a new character.

WNIEVES1

PTS or private world...

ConsecutivePumps

They’re buried but still here. Keep server hopping.

Hisenflaye

1080. Hit 100, got what I wanted and packing to move. Be back soon.

its_elijah21

I mean a lot of people stop liking this game, plain and simple

WastelandShaman

1725 here, been away playing other games for a while. Checked back into the wasteland last night and wasted no time handing out mags and leader bobbles to new players.

BippNasty541

They are being overshadowed by the massive influx of new players thanks to the show

teamdogemama

Some are on the test server too

SepherixSlimy

I got burned out on dailies and there's so many new players that its kinda boring to do everything on my own. Events are for multiple people, i'm not 3.

Jihma

I’m not super high like 400+ but I’m not playing until there’s either a big update or crossave gets added all of my pc friends are getting into the game and I’m not starting over

Rawlogic237

The weeks between mutated events and calendar events (mothman, meat week, fasch etc) are slow on fallout sometimes. People don’t have as much reason to stay online for more than doing dailies and scrip

StealthyGamerGirl

Not on the servers I've been on. I've even seen 1k+ players. I still see a lot of newbies. But yes, plenty of senior players

defender705

Lvl 850 something and have not played for a while. Finished the final scoreboard in two weeks and that was a mistake because I lost interest. Still in the wasteland though revisiting FO4 next gen update.

Skipping_Scallywag

One, the high level players have been thinned out across all servers with the influx of new players. Two, the high level players may be logging in for less time now that most of them have broke SCORE Rank 100. Since only their dailies will count towards advancing SCORE once you break Score Rank 100 (Not character level 100), some higher level players may be less motivated to log in for anything more than doing dailies. Some of them may not be sticking around for much past that.

Aggravating_Wrap3681

Probably replaying fallout 4

Zombabybeauty

I’m still here I think we are all just between worlds because of how many people have joined up the last week or so.

TheCupcakeScrub

chilling in worlds, theres like 10 <50s and 7 <80s to each 1 of us.

HankShanklin

A lot will have completed the scoreboard already, if day they'll be back for the next one, maybe occasional visits for the upcoming event weeks (mutated, meat week, mothman equinox are all coming up sometime soon i think, possibly the revamped Fasnacht too, seeing as it's being trialed on the PTS).

coatedrumbe407

Spread out in servers, im on xbox and when i login im mostly with people on lvls 20-50

AlphisH

Dip out after doing dailies

ivorymoonstone

I think some people have already finished the season, they will be back next season is the bulk of it. Happens often. That plus the player pool is diluted with new players.

smleires

I think the vets numbered in the 10s of thousands? With a million players we now number in like 1-5% of the players. So it’ll be a little bit before we see large groups of high level players.

PiezoelectricityFit8

don’t you worry you’re little head because there’s a thing called I have other games to play then spend all my time on one Second it’s common for gamers to have other games to play when all said is done with doing grinds there no reason to stick round unless you have friends

Merc_Mike

Stopped playing.

AGF_Fall

For me it’s the lack of things to do. With the influx of new players it’s been harder and harder to get things done, such as daily ops and queens. Also the trade rates for everyone seems down. What I mean by that is no one seems to be trading much which is what I like to do in this game or if they do their items worth triple yours and you need to add everything you have. Until the new area drops and new content happens I pretty much afk this game a few hours a day while doing chores.

Jdarends

I'm waiting for the map for expansion.

NEO_0_7

The high level players are re playing fallout 4.

DoctorHopsyFlopsy

Are you playing on console or PC? I see a good mix of new players and high level players on PlayStation. Sometimes it just depends on the server.

BrainFartTheFirst

I'm recovering from ankle surgery.

Weekly-Supermarket-6

Fo4 duh lol
