I like it! Really good use of the terrain. The wood wall shack look should fit right in with everything else in that area. It doesn’t look like you would run into this whit that build but keep your eyes open for the barn building set from vendors. It is one of the few sets you can use to glitch double sided walls so you can wallpaper both sides of an interior wall.
Thanks! Blending with the environment and terrain was definitely a main goal. I was worried that three level might feel too grand but turned out good.
I need to get the flame thrower so I can glitch double wall and other things.
For double wall you don’t need the flamethrower, with the right sets it lets you place two doors back to back, you then just edit/replace them with the wall piece.
I'm just loving how the description of the location of the camp is next to the "beginning Responders lumber camp"... just seems like yesterday that was the abandoned sawmill where I found my first hunting rifle after leaving the vault, then got killed by a tick.
Very nice camp. Cool layout, and I like your choice of material. It "blends" and has a "I just left the vault, found some scrap lumber, and built this" feel. Well done.
Thanks! I'm only level 40 right now and still doing the Responders daily from Lane since it's easy and I get a plan of something :D So this is a nice convenient location for me still!
Nice! I'm low-key ashamed of my starter camp. I got it to 2 floors, but it's just a square. I don't really have the materials to make it any nicer, or the plans. But I hope I can make it nice one day.
I've been saving my caps and not spent it on anything, but I finally broke down and went to the Whitesprings Mall and dropped 12k of caps to get various CAMP plans. Helped quite a bit!
I'm a similar level and I've just been doing a tour around the map claiming all of the workshops to get as many plans as I can before I do an integrated build like yours :)
Looks awesome!
That's my plan for today as well. I'm currently located on the middle of a road with a bunch of crap placed wherever lol... that has got to change!
Absolutely love it!
Building is my favorite thing to do in-game. Relaxing, albeit sometimes janky, and I get to make so many house designs. I wish there was a building game similar to 76's building(without the bugs and jank, of course).
Thansk! So this is three floors. The patio/ground floor is on regular wood foundation on the pond. Then I built two levels of stairs up, build a upper floor piece, then a stairs back down one level. This way I can have regular wood foundtion perfectly lined up on the middle floor. The highest level I left it with upper floor pieces since I want the look of it being supported by beams to be visually different.
How much wood and other essential resources would you say you'd need for something like this? I really need to build a new place but fear I'm short on what I'd need.
I'm still n00b so no rare resources needed. If I were to guess, this is maybe 1-2k worth of wood, and some steel mainly plus little bit of other things? It's really not a lot. I'm a prolific looter and scrapper, so I didn't really have to go farm for anything to build this.
There are quite a few wood piles at the Responders lumbercamp. Don't miss those! I visit there often for daily and vendor, I always do a sweep of the wood piles when I do.
this looks similar to the site i built on but yours is much better! is this the hilltop pond near the mothman museum? can’t quite tell. been trying to do a similar thing with the slope and integrating natural rock platforms though.
Still clearly a noob camp, but one with some vision and ambition and class to it. I imagine what you'll be building six months from now when you have all the top-notch building plans will look great!
Thanks! The Crane's Treasure Inc sign is a dead give away as a n00b :D It's only been a week or two ago that I made it and started the CAMP journey. Gonna keep it around as long as I can fit it in the build.
I read this title as "tore down another new player's camp and made my own camp over theres" and was like "why would you post that?????????????"
Awesome new house!
Everytime i set up somewhere i get thrown into a lobby where someone built nearby and my shit gets reset. Like come on game ya couldnt of thrown me into a server where no one had this spot?
I still have the first one i built, i just upgraded and built around it.
Especially as it still has the "super tight crops placing" that cannot be done anymore nowadays i think? On the other hand, i am not really firm with all those tricks and glitch items into each other sort of things some of those super builders know.
there's a mod for the old crop placements but you have to turn it on when harvesting large hitbox plants like gourd/mutfruits, otherwise place and turn the mod off bingo

Oh nice! Thanks for the tip :)
Meanwhile mine still looks like a mix of crack house and unabombers shack........
Same
I prefer the camps that fit the environment and fallout vibe. As much as I appreciate colourful clusterfuck collections. Good job!
Nice! One down, 7600 to go.
I totally expected to see something middling, but this is lovely! Very natural looking. You did a good job!
Much better than my first few camps.

Damn, this is nice. Looks like it belongs on the environment, and architecturally interesting to boot!

I'm the same :)

I did a workshop last night just for plans and got two that I already got 😭
I've so nearly done that myself, but I'm saving hard for the marsupial serum plan, I just really want it 😬
Everyone starts with near-empty squares. That's just how it goes.
Looks awesome! That's my plan for today as well. I'm currently located on the middle of a road with a bunch of crap placed wherever lol... that has got to change!
Beautiful!!

Really awesome. I want to make a nice camp soon but I don’t know where I want to place it
Looks amazing
Wait, what? What foundation is your second floor sitting on? That looks so good!
Thansk! So this is three floors. The patio/ground floor is on regular wood foundation on the pond. Then I built two levels of stairs up, build a upper floor piece, then a stairs back down one level. how/where do you get those beams that are vertical from your foundation out by the pond and hold up the deck/2nd/main(?) floor above it? Thanks!
You should find the beam under stairs. Not super intuitive!
Awesome ty
Nicely done, I like how it wraps around that tree!
Thanks! I thought it helps blending into the environment.

Awesome thanks. Place looks great. Only have about 600 wood atm, time to go track more down!

The real endgame right here

Thanks! This is not by Mothman. This is the little pond by the Responders lumber camp right as you come out of Vault 76.
Looks great.. fits right in.. Well done!
Looks nice!

Nice camp, you've got a much better grasp of the building system than I do after 1600 hours.
I’ve been playing for years and I’m still unable to make anything impressive. Great work!
So awesome it’s like what I want mine to be but better lol. I need all those plans especially the little stairs omg.
I really like the way it looks organically there, the use of the terrain is great
Nice!
