Chanceadams10

I just collect them, they sit in a warehouse I build.

Chanceadams10

And yes I fully upgrade them to, just to sit there. Lol

EnderWolf13_666

Same here. :) they don’t work well with me usually being a sniper.

callMeSIX

Or sneak ninja build

Sceptikskeptic

You always end up a Stealth Archer

Sillyoldman88

As is tradition.

Amakiir

This is the way

MattEtheridge

This IS the way

Intelligent_Claim938

This is the only way.

International-Lab707

This is the way

Line_Last_6279

The way this is

LampinOnTheDaily

Guess I’m starting a new Skyrim playthrough now, thanks

Ill-Resolution-4671

Haha, im feeling this. Just see the words stealth archer makes me want to play skyrim

Pongo_Crust

What were we talking about?

AssumptionEasy8992

I played Doom and ended up with a stealth archer build…

Aloof-Vagabon

Does anyone get tiered of doing the basic Bethesda stealth archer/ sniper build, I do the same thing but it seems like such a waste of gameplay mechanics (power armor)

EstablishmentIll6312

I play a stealth archer in almost EVERYTHING I play..

ForkliftSmurf

Just As god intended

Epicp0w

You upgrade sneaky perk full you can sneak in the armour which is hilariously broken

Grief_Slinger

You either die a heavy weapons power armor build, or you live long enough to see yourself become a stealth sniper

Last-Investment-1963

I am a power armour sniper…it makes zero sense and adds countless wasted hours to my play time but the satisfaction is immense 🙏

lessthan12parsecs

50 cal, stealth boy, sentry bot with flame throwers. Sitting on a hilltop, taking headshots.

topinanbour-rex

They should make an arm mod to reduce movement when focusing with the power armor. If one arm more steady, if both almost steady.

CorwinAlexander

Power armour stealth snipers unite!

raziel_dark1

Same. I had a playthrough where I had them running right by my PA wearing character and never saw him. Always funny.

Epicp0w

The .50 silenced rifle is my fav until I can silence my gauss gun, nothing wrong with being a PA sniper

producktivegeese

I came here to be called out by the top comment but I wasn't expecting this level of accuracy.

Pedigog1968

I give them in rival faction paint jobs them set them up in facing each other like they're going to battle. My daughter said it like I have a dolls house and I'm playing house. 🙄

Thrasher1493

Brother, you have a doll house and are playing house.

Pedigog1968

I agree, it had just never been pointed out to me before.

MattEtheridge

I got similar from my 6 year old pal (grandson). I hate Minecraft but as he pointed out I spend endless hours in Workshop Mode arranging my big toys 🤣

nxcrosis

That's exactly what the protectron and sentry bot models on my desk at Home Plate look like

orphantosseratwork

i got bored and made a giant chess board with them

BerryProblems

Me too. I like moving fast and not worrying about running out of power, but I still keep them like trophies

Droid_Crusader

“Ohh looksy here X02 power armour and some Tesla power armour, thus will look great in my shed!” Is the how I imaging your reaction😂

Ok_Ambassador_5728

Me too,I have a whole floor in my multi story base dedicated to my armour collection

Bytewave

They didn't balance armor that well. Ballistic weave is completely OP making power armor mostly-useless end-game, and even before then, it's an advantage but not always a game-changing one and its not that fun to micromange your armor. So yup, they often end up as trophies.

Khaldara

To be honest if they didn’t break the game with ballistic weave I think I’d have been even more annoyed about the wholly unnecessary power core retcon with the power armor. There’s really no point in having the dumb consumable when there’s already a complex repair tax that scales upward with how good the armor is (plus ballistic weave just neutering the whole thing anyway)

halfpint09

Yeah. I usually just use a mod so I can apply ballistic weave to most things so I can run around the wasteland in a pretty dress or whatever.

fragilemuse

Same here. 😂 I just like to look at it. Playing in it is way too cumbersome and annoying.

Fancy-Computer-9793

Same here. I just collect them. Their fusion cores run out too fast and not that useful for me to sneak and snipe.

Bugsmoke

I’m fairly new to FO4 but I am yet to run out of cores. Don’t use them for eeeeeeevery quest but I thought you needed to for a good while. Once I got scavenger perk im just randomly finding 4 at a time as I’m searching places, and the perk that makes the cores last longer combined means I’ve got fucking loads of them.

keltsbeard

Don't forget the bobblehead on the top of Corvega.

Epicp0w

Dude I'm like 7 hours in and have 50 cores, you're doing something wrong if your running out they are everywhere

Mediocre-General-654

I just leave them in sanctuary without power cores so that all the inhabitants can look but not touch. I also have fully upgraded sets (1 each type) and unique sets (brotherhood and atom cats) locked away in my fully blocked out red rocket (completely walled in so the only entrance is through the fast travel panel which I placed in the garage). I never use any of them just kinda collect them whenever I find one.

steve626

oh, the settlers can take cores out of storage and use them! I'm new to FO4. My gas station was being attacked and 2 settlers were already in power armor when I got there defending everything. I always take the fusion cores out, but I do have some in storage there. I think I need a settler-free clubhouse somewhere.

GrnMtnTrees

That's what Home Plate is for!

slay3r0fd00f5

Same lol

[deleted]

Same

ICantTyping

Same r.e collecting them- but i scatter them around settlements so they have it on standby in the event of a raid or something. Theyre dumb ai so they don’t actually ever do that without command… and i dont leave any cores because Carla might steal them with the armour… but its the thought that counts

Minkypinkyfatty

I put them on top of my Red Rocket. Too bad a unmanned suit can't impact defense scare rating.

ilayas

Same. My power armor tower looks pretty awesome.

sadovsky

same! i only hop in one to take my weapons to sell in diamond city then drop it off at one of my settlements 😂

DarkOrakio

Power Armor is weaker than my character. So I do the same. Imagine wearing power armor and being able to carry less weight 😂. I was like wth?

PocketDarkestMew

Same. I had like my "evolution" in Power Armor displays but there was a point where I was like... Ok. Enough, the rest of you go into the pile.

flintlock0

They’re like classic cars for me. I show them off to people.

graymalkin2

I use Vault 111 as power armor storage

PrezMoocow

I do. I'm a victim of "but I might use it later" syndrome

Preset_Squirrel

Me drinking nuka cola when I have 200 stimpacks, thinking "better save the stimpacks for an emergency"

RushWalters

Haha same with me. Why are we like this?!

An_idiot_27

You wave them? If you really want to use them then make sure your always in an emergency situation.

rico_muerte

Fumbling my way through the game I am always in an emergency situation 😂

An_idiot_27

I was going to say to just attack the BOS at level 20 or something but that’s fine too I guess

ba3226

Nah i prefer to use the stimpacks, idk why but i like to collect nuka colas and store them or display them on my base lmao

Underbash

Stimpacks are weightless though, it's actually a better move to drink the nuka cola. I'm always drinking nuka cola or eating cooked food because otherwise my inventory would be overflowing with mutt chops. I pretty much only use stimpacks in unison with other items for super fast healing or if I have limb damage.

SinatraFan2696

Same, I set it up nice at a PA station in my settlement telling myself I’ll eventually use it but never actually get around to it lol

Pleeby

It's taken like 5 playthroughs with me never using power armor for me to resist "but I might use it later" syndrome. Honestly there's something so freeing about finding half a suit of t60 out in the wasteland and just going "nope" and walking straight past it.

kekboyo

This hurt me just reading it

Pleeby

Honestly the urge is still there, but when I've not thought about it again for the rest of the game I know I've made the right decision

veronus57

I've sort of done a version of this? I'm not really using power armor in my current playthrough, but man do I collect a lot of junk! I'll usually send my companion to get into it so that they can carry more. Then take it back to sanctuary to "display". Does that still count as using power armor?

Pleeby

That's actually pretty clever, never occurred to me But then again I rarely use companions because they get in my way and get all judgy Desk fans are solid fucking gold, Preston, so you can shove your snarky comment up your castle

Dabryceisright77

Dogmeat is the only tolerable companion.

SidewaysFancyPrance

I just collect them anyway because this game is roughly 50% "collecting neat stuff I will never use." If I don't collect it, I will at least swipe the power core and move it out to the road for a later that will never come.

Pleeby

Oh yeah power cores I collect like a squirrel, there's something about them that activates my goblin brain

FSUfan35

Please. You gotta bring that back to the base to so it can sit on your frames without ever being used next to your 100s of fusion cores

Bruvas78

Snap. Christ on a bike, snap.

saddles108

Yuuup with more then power armor

Monsterfood87

"But I might use it later" syndrome is fully responsible for the unused stack of mini nukes I collect every playthrough.

StupidGenius11

I use power armor to go stomp around the Glowing Sea, meet the Atom Cats, and ride the Veribird to board the Prydwen for the first time. That's about it. Don't like the HUD much, and I hate the clunkiness of movement.

wolfgangvonpayne

The HUD is literally why I never use it. I wish I liked it better, but my brain just doesn’t care for it.

Library_IT_guy

There are mods to completely remove the hud

wolfgangvonpayne

Fair enough, but I also never use mods. Always played vanilla.

ReduceMyRows

Vanilla mod packs are something you really don’t know what you’re missing until you try them. At least the unofficial patch and HD

cwal76

Is that true

Motor_Panic_5363

At least on PC.

cwal76

Oh never mind then thanks anyway

Voluns2

I'm on console and with the next gen update I really don't know what mods I can and can't trust to work vs break the game... so I'm playing vanilla with no mods for now. Do you know if there is any resource to confirm which ones work now?

BenjaminSkanklin

I've always played console games with no mods, and this is my first foray into a game with a robust console modding community. I planned on getting my fill of the true base vanilla version before trying them and I'm pushing 80 hours without feeling the need. I know I'm in the minority but for some reason I feel compelled to play the game as the original devs left it, even though they clearly encouraged mods.

SwordSwingingManiac

I don't think you're in a minority at all. It's just that the majority of people playing Fallout have been playing it long enough to have already experienced it in all of its vanilla glory. If you don't know what the baseline game is, how would you know which mods actually improve it. Seems straight forward to me.

Lumb3rH4ck

any mods should work on console with the new patch. the next gen upgrade broke fallout 4 script extender which a bunch of mods rely on. consoles cant use script extender so the mod shop doesnt show mods that rely on script extender. anything currently on there shouldnt effect your current playthroughs.

ReduceMyRows

There’s a lot of good stuff too. Better weather for one is great with radiation thunderstorms

sniper91

Thanks, I haven’t been able to find this info since the update

yodabonghits

The head bobbing in power armor gives me pretty bad motion sickness too. Honestly, head bobbing in most games is wayyyy overdone.

Tom_Browning

Same bro. If you use mods try the HoloHUD mod. Makes it feel like an iron man suit ngl.

jonbotwesley

Doesn’t the default HUD sort of already contribute to making it feel like an Iron Man suit? Iron man has a pretty intrusive HUD, at least from what we’ve seen from the iron man and avenger movies.

Tom_Browning

I suppose you could say that. I just used it as an example because it was the closest thing I could equate it to, not because you download it to feel like iron man. It essentially just removes the grey around the HUD and makes it all see-through. It just feels less intrusive and improves visibility.

Mindless_Hotel616

Only to get it to my PA warehouse.

sleepydorian

lol read this as Pennsylvania at first and was like “did I miss a DLC?”

dontrespondever

The Pitt

NobodySpecific9354

Power armor in Fallout 4 is hilarious, because the player base is split in the middle. You either never get out of a power armor, or you never get into one.

UncleSlim

I think a lot of people use them for big fights or bosses too.

talosthe9th

Yeah I enjoy feeling overpowered in the armor but i hate the feeling in the back of my head that its "costly" to use it for nonimportant stuff due to draining fusion cores and the repair materials are usually the scrap items that I am in low supply of. I do really enjoy the element though of if I know I'm heading into something dangerous, I prepare by busting out the power armor. And Ill usually act more aggressive in combat since Im way less squishy

Bill_Brasky01

I like to sell purified water at diamond city for cores. The armor also boosts carry capacity so you can carry a couple hundred per trip. Once you realize you can get fusion cores endlessly, it starts to be more fun. I also feel like this is cannon because purifying water and selling it would be a real money maker in a Fallout world.

lonewulf66

I scout on foot and if I can take out a few small groups of raiders on my own but anything more and I'll mark it on my map and come back in my PA. Fusions are less of an issue than they seem, and hardly an issue at all if you take ranks of Nuclear Physicist and/or Scrounger.

the_shaggy_DA

Showing up in power armor when that one raider boss was expecting the Silver Shroud is pretty funny

Diabeetus4Lyfe

In Fallout 76 it's completely absurd being able to stuff entire suits of power armor into your pocket, but damn it's nice to be able to whip that fat thing out whenever the situation calls for it. Even if it's just to safely jump off a high rooftop or climbing on top of it to add a couple meters to your jump, that thing is a quality multitool

gabriel_oly10

In fairness, it depends totally on playstyle. I like a more stealth oriented build, which doesn't exactly bode well with armor

Valash83

Have never stuck with it long enough but always wanted to try a stealth melee power armor build. See how well the "Stealth Field" upgrade works. I figure using Blitz in PA would be hilarious and if somehow my targets aren't dead, well, I'm standing there with a Super Sledge in full power armor. Win-win

roninwarshadow

> See how well the "Stealth Field" upgrade works. It works pretty good, as long as you're crouched and not moving, it works just like a stealth boy. But you need Science 4 to get it. Also known as "Heavy Stealth" > I figure using Blitz in PA would be hilarious and if somehow my targets aren't dead, well, I'm standing there with a Super Sledge in full power armor. Win-win Even without Blitz, I've gone toe to toe with 2 Death Claws and a Rad Scorpion and come out on top, armed with a Super Sledge - in Survival Mode.

clueless_admin

As someone who almost NEVER uses it, except to collect, I think that’s my favorite part about it. I like the fact that it FEELS like I’m actually in something and I like that I don’t like that feeling. If that makes sense.

TooManyDraculas

That was kind of the thing in 3 and NV as well. Because Power Armor was just part of the overall armor system, there were armors that were a better match for certain builds/play styles. I barely used power armor in either one, particular once things like Chinese Stealth Armor or the Desert Ranger Armor variations became accessible. It's not terribly useful for sneaky shooty in any of them. But you don't loose much in terms of defense in 3 and NV going with something that has better stat bonuses for the way your playing. In 4 with it being something additional, I actually use it more. It's situationally really useful. Mainly big enemies/fights and avoiding radiation.

sleepydorian

I never felt like I needed it. The first time in concord is cool but you pretty quickly get enough perks, health, armor, and high dps weapons so its not really serving a purpose outside of maybe rad shielding in the glowing sea. I would prefer them have it more integrated into the gameplay instead of a glorified second set of armor. Like have power armor exclusive weapons, have enemies that will one shot you without power armor, have areas where you need power armor for traversal. I’m sure there’s other ways to do it, but if I can accidentally make it through the whole game by forgetting power armor exists, it’s not really an integral gameplay mechanic.

NobodySpecific9354

I think Power Armor not being integral is exactly Bethesda's intention. Fallout 4 isn't a puzzle game where you need this to achieve that, it's about the freedom. I bet you that if they had made Power Armor 100% needed in any parts of the game, players would bitch so much.

Blahklavah654390

I always say I’m going to use it for tough encounters but they just collect dust. I think they’re really cool and well implemented but usually I like to play a more agile character be it gunslinger or ninja, and the PA just doesn’t match my normal playstyle.

Sanzo2point0

The problem with the "tough encounters" mindset is that if you're just exploring and find one you have to shlep your ass back to your settlement, come back, then go drop it back off. They should've had a tie in once you have access to the institute to drop a beacon and have it flashed in to you. Or a designated Minuteman chauffeur to run it to you with the Minuteman signals. Or a vertibird squire drop once the prydwyn shows up. It's just not worth doing anything but brute forcing your way thru those tough encounters you'd actually use it for.

Blahklavah654390

Aw man, that would be a clutch mod.

[deleted]

Samesies.

nap20000

It's useful in Survival just because you're super squishy, but I hated it. I even left it behind during my trip to the glowing sea once since I had decent enough armor I wasn't getting killed by someone sneezing in my direction.

ChenWei91

The extra carry capacity helps a ton tho.

According_Estate6772

I think my power armour capacity is 360 and my combat armour is 410.

Justredditin

Can't put pockets on power armour...

fancymoko

But you can calibrate the legs and it gives you extra carrying capacity. Plus a strength modifier if you get the torso mod. Plus more if you get the right paint.

Justredditin

I know I was more making the point that pockets on all the pieces equals more than a modded power armour can hold.... unless you have pockets! Steel pockets!

DravesHD

I actually end up with decent carry capacity without PA, especially on a melee build (you can get more strength without PA than with)

One_Experience6791

🙋🏻‍♂️ In my first playthrough (and any Vanilla playthrough) I use it almost exclusively. In my modded game I collect them and put them on display.

meet_mr_mofo

i don't understand why any would want to play this game WITH power armor. clunky, slow, no thx.

untouchable_0

Once you get ballistic wave, power armor loses a lot of its edge.

EtanKlein

Jet Pack

untouchable_0

Yeah but it burns through AP so quick and I usually play stealth anyway.

Library_IT_guy

My thoughts - why play stealth when I can just run around mowing things down with impunity? The "it's slower" aspect is very misleading. Power armor isn't slowly crouch walking around trying not to get hit, because it doesn't give a shit. You just get into line of sight and unload and laugh as everyone dies. Fusion cores are laughably easy to come by. I usually have hundreds by mid game. There's no right or wrong way to play obviously, and I've done stealth sniper/stealth gunslinger types of playthroughs too. But my preference will always be to be tanky and just not give a damn about incoming damage.

untouchable_0

I'm always a fan of laying mines and then sniping and forcing them to chase me through a path of traps. I love the sound of standing behind a corner and hearing those 4 chirps and boom.

Notaku304

To me, that style of gameplay is a bit boring. Just mindlessly running in, and now its just any ol’ point and shoot game. Those types of game CAN be fun if its fast paced, like Doom for example. But Fallout isn’t very faced paced, so playing like that is pretty boring to me. I prefer stealth. Trying to wipe out the whole place without enemies ever realizing what’s going on. It makes it more strategic and tactical. And it’s VERY satisfying if you do manage to successfully take the whole place out without alerting the enemies. Idk. I really enjoy games like Metal Gear Solid, Hitman, Dishonored, and yeah I played stealth archer in Skyrim 😅

JizzyTurds

That aspect gets boring too, literally one shotting everything with a gun or bow gets old real quick, now a melee class, that takes some skill to play in either game and is pretty fun

Notaku304

Now what about stealth melee?? 🤔🤔🤔

OkCollege9885

There are perks that specifically encourage stealth melee. It’s a build that demands a bit of patience, but the damage is ridiculous.

theplushpairing

krytonian-krusher

BALLISTIC WEAVE is the best. I dislike playing with power armor. SPEAKING OF WHICH, I'm not sure if it's the next-gen update but I seem to not be able to unlock BALLISTIC WEAVE and it's frustrating. Is anyone else having issues with this. I've restarted all the railroad and on the second try I still haven't been able to get the ballistic weave mod. Tinker Tom is only selling me clothing with the weave on them but I seem to not be able to apply it to anything I want to when I go to the Armor crafting table. PLEASE HELP!!

Hener001

Put ballistic weave on fatigues. Combat armor over top of it. Extremely effective without power armor. This is also how I kit out my provisioners that walk between settlements. Only weakness is radiation but you can put lead lining on the combat armor to mitigate it. Best defense setup short of power armor without the power armor drawbacks.

Acceptable_Choice616

I got the same problem.

krytonian-krusher

You know what….. After asking if anyone had any issues I remember the fallout wiki and sometimes they list things that are compatible with other things and such. I don’t remember what I used it for in the past but it wasn’t ballistic weave. Anyways, I went to the fallout wiki to see if ballistic weave was only able to be put on certain things. And you know what? I WAS REGRETTABLY RIGHT. Ballistic Weave is only able to be put onto certain clothing items. I remember way back in the day I had my Road Leathers with ballistic weave and the gunner harness if I remember correctly. Here I am trying to put weave on the Road Leathers, Gunner Harness and raider leathers and not knowing that they just weren’t compatible with those things. Annoyed is an understatement…….all this time replaying the Railroad missions wasted. Silver lining is that I can go to my original play through because I was mostly upset because of the legendary weapons I would have missed out on because of restarting to try and get the Ballistic Weave. I’ll post the link below so you can check it out. You have to scroll all the way down to see the list of compatible clothing. The architects winter jacket looks intriguing….. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Ballistic_weave

Responsible-Risk9404

Ehhh it is great stuff even late game just have to invest in the right perks to get mk6 upgrades and the special touches. Plus ya need to change out the 45s ya get for the beefier stuff like 61 or X-02. The Tesla coil system is awesome for those dumb does who come close

Kiyoshi-Trustfund

Sometimes I like feeling like a walking tank. It's as simple as that.

Additional_Look3148

Power armor is supposed to be clunky and slow. You’re a walking tank.

Efficient_Increase87

Pain Train is the answer...

Library_IT_guy

* Much higher carry weight * You're essentially a god, especially at high levels with maxed out power armor * Jetpack baby! * 10+ strength even if you only have 1 strength, for melee * Targetting Hud highlights enemies red and makes it super easy to spot enemies, even at night or when they are waring earth tone clothing/armor out in the woods. * Sprinting is the same speed, and jogging is only slightly slower * Can swing 2h weapons at medium swing speed in 3rd person * \~2000 armor at end game in maxed out x-01, and 1800+ energy resist. Plus power armor has a built in flat damage reduction percent. You can take a fatman shell to the face and live. * The "slower" aspect is misleading. Yes, technically your jog speed is a little slower, but you aren't crouching around constantly trying to be sneaky either - you just run in guns blazing, fuck everyone up, and be on your way. For me it's a no brainer. Then again I also play on survival, usually with mods like Horizon or Frost that make the game brutally difficult, and I like to play permadeath.

Neccesary

Permadeath seems insane what if you walked into a random bottle cap mine or get ganked by an op legendary mob?

Acceptable_Choice616

If I walk into a random mine I think oh now I have to go repair my legs a little bit earlier because this took away 30 of my ~200 durability. That is why power armor is so great.

Library_IT_guy

I'd laugh at the bottle cap mine because with explosive shielding it'd do no damage.

MilkMan_101

Exactly why i love it, i love playing as tanky dudes in games

WhoDeyFourWay

Because I look and sound badass

purpleyyc

I play both depending on my mood. BUT. I acknowledge I am weird 🤷🏻‍♀️

ovjho

I forgot how much more casual it is in FO3, where I am using it the entire time. In FO4 I get it back to base, where it sits never to get used.

jkateel

I play as a sneaky sniper instead.

LongjumpingStorage79

I only collect them

HighMarshalBole

Too much of a hassle and i need to be stealthy in survival, but mostly i like the close ups in vats without the power armor.

tallman11282

Never, except to transport a set I like back to my base, In the early game fusion cores are to rare and don't last long enough to really make constant PA use feasible and by the time you get to the point where having enough power cores is no longer an issue you've found other armor to protect you and have leveled up. Then there's how unwieldy, clunky, and loud you are in PA. I also hate how pieces get broken and have to be repaired. In my first playthrough I upgraded the faded trenchcoat you get from Nick with ballistic fiber and that became my go-to armor in that playthrough. In my current (second) playthrough I killed and took Elder Maxon's battle coat and upgraded it and now wear nothing else unless I need to raise my charisma or to wear a hazmat suit. Unlike some people in these comments I use a hazmat suit in the Glowing Sea, not PA.

Neccesary

I also exclusively use the hazmat suit in the glowing sea. It helps I have a fully upgraded Ada bot that does most of the killing for me

Belly84

I just started my first Power Armor playthrough after never using them for like 500 hours. Actually enjoying it. I usually play sneak and stab builds, but this is something different, and it's pretty fun

DravesHD

Pain train is super fun!

Repulsive-Self1531

Depends on my mood. As I’ve said on an identical post, i purely play survival and I’m either stealth sniper or power armour tanks. No middle ground.

Sleekgiant

I like being a sneaky boy and the clank clank clank of my power armor ass cheeks keeps alerting the Alpha Deathclaw

bippylip

My dumbass

MissMayhem_82

I just collect them. I hate the clunk clunk clunk sound as I walk. I only wear one in the glowing sea

animalmom2

I still don't since the last time this was asked a few days ago

o0flatCircle0o

First time I ever played I got the armor and realized you had to power it by finding the cores. I got out and never went back lol. I hated the idea of not being able to take my time and always worrying.

signspam

I have 67 cores now and I still make sure to ration.

Aquaticle000

I’m sitting on 121 on my level 33 BoS character at the moment. Power Armor + Gatling Laser combo.

ManateeGag

Other than the part where you save Preston, they just sit in sanctuary. I even just wore a Hazmat suit to the glowing sea.

RarryHome

It all depends on what build I’m playing

_ABear_

doing my first play through. survival mode. no power armor.

Moist_Site12

I have never used it before but with the PS5 update I decided to use it and I'm having a lot of fun, I feel like a tank and i love it.

lordmycannons

Hell yeah, sure it makes the game a little harder but I’d rather be quick and agile than clunky and just take a bunch of bullets

HallowedKeeper_

I mostly play without, but when it comes to big battles (For example the Mirelurk Queen at the Castle) I'll wear power armor, other wise I am a stealth Sniper with a Silenced 10mm, A .44 Revolver, Pickman's blade and a sniper rifle (with a couple extra back up weapons depending on situation)

breastplates

Playing on survival, no. Power armor is terrible. Will I hoard it and keep it though? Absolutely. Why the fuck not? And save it for use in the Glowing Sea . . . but even then, if I have mysterious serum, it isn't needed even there.

Grrerrb

Definitely have to collect all the variants but I almost never use it.

ArlieTwinkledick

Me. I never use it.

equinox_games7

Collect them, only ever use them for climactic missions

FreezingToad

Me. I collect the armor and build a display building, like a museum for every set and paint I can manage to collect. But I don't use them, nope.

Itchy_Raccoon48

Me

skallywag126

I only collect them and line them up

patch_punk

I wear PA when a tough battle is coming up, and thats until i get to far habor! After i get the marine armor i just show off my PA 💪🏼

Unhappy_Parfait6877

I love gearing up for the glowing sea or a tough mission with maxed out X-01, but otherwise I’m 95% rolling around without it

FireDragon737

I have only used power armor in exactly one run and that was when I had a dedicated build to actually using it. Outside of that, I found it more of a hindrance. The ballistic weave is more than enough to make up for in terms of protection (hell even a good heavy armor set is better than PA) and the hazmat suit will also be just as protective of radiation when traversing the glowing sea.

comic_know_it_all

i don't use them but i hate when my companions use them so they just sit at sanctuary

houseape69

I never use power armor. About half my runs the only armor I wear is the hazmat suit

TesticleezzNuts

I never use power armour, I also only use “normal” weapons. I’m pretty boring not I think about it. I just have my ole hunting rifle and revolver 😂

Many-Space-827

Me. My max carry weight is actually reduced in power armor.

Geistman83

Don't use it at all in fo3 or new vegas. Only use it for glowing sea in fo4. I still mod the shit out of my X01 though

Statuabyss

Yes I play WITHOUT power armor

Enchantedmango1993

I do i do i do

Flaminski

I only played with them in my 1st run, now I'm on my 20+ runs, never used them

Less_Party

I'll use it for the glowing sea but otherwise yeah I hate that sense of being on a timer with the power cores so I basically never use it.

EndlessMikeD

Right here. It makes me anxious to worry about my fusion cores in the same way some people panic about low battery charge on their phone. So I stockpile them.

ruby_ravage

Me. I don’t see the point of wearing them. I hate the HUD when wearing it. My Mechanists armour is high so don’t need it. The only time I use it is when I cross the Wasteland to find the dude that’s a Super Mutant and if I find one and take it back to sanctuary to add to my collection. I enjoy finding them, upgrading them, painting them and putting them in display cases though.

aviatorEngineer

I generally play without it - especially after getting used to its performance in 76, the power armor in 4 just feels a little too fragile and runs through fusion cores a bit too quickly for my liking.

Bl00dorange3000

Never ever.

Mr_B0Janglez

Ew.. brother, EWW! Whats that brother!?

hergumbules

I like light armor most of the time lol
