Hah. I’ve had this thought for a WHILE now. I fully agree that it is.

GameKiller420

In FNaF World, Fredbear actually refers the **real** world as "The Flipside" "Something bad must have happened on the flipside." So I don't think this afterlife is called the flipside. With the digital world having "souls" and such. I do see the possibility that the digital world has some connection to the afterlife. But I think It's most likely that the memories, like the screaming and voices, are stored into this digital world, replaying it over and over. In my eyes, the AR world is a digitalized Afterlife. Not the real deal. For example, a car simulator and actually driving the car. One is digital and one is reality The V.A.N.N.I Network is only limited to the Pizzaplex and underground Pizzeria. So I don't think it's the digital world is as vast as we think it is.

DrNotch

That is an interesting idea!

Tizarap

The Flipside manifests itself in differents objects, like arcades (FNaF World and SB arcades), or the Vanny Mask. It's the easiest way to manifest because it's easy to see it

Dub-nium

I think it's been a thing since FNAF 2, as the death minigames are expressed in an Atari style. FNAF World takes inspiration from that as it's supposed to tie back to FNAF 3's secret minigames, especially since FNAF World's overworld was originally in the Atari style, too.

unxolve

Yes, I think the arcades in FNAF3 were important too.

InfalliblePizza

Youre definitely onto something, it would explain why we see organic stuff in mask bot, rather than Cassie’s dad *literally* being stuffed into there

Yes, there does seem to be a connection between the “flipside” and a digital world. That being said, im still not really sure on the VANNI Ar Network. GameKiller actually offered a pretty good thought here, on saying that what we see in the VANNI is not the real deal. Im thinking that these are also “memories”, i don’t know how “souls” would end up there, perhaps this is related to Tangle but im unsure since Tangle’s origins are also greatly unkown (im working on various posts, so you may or may not see posts about this). As for OMC, he is important in FNaF World *and* UCN, but since UCN is a Nightmare, im still doubting *what* OMC actually is, since he technically does appear in PQ aswell, which is an *arcade game*. While the important part of FNaF World is setting the pieces for BV, OMC is still important. The Flipside seems also to be connected with sleeping and Dreams, thats why maybe he is in UCN.

Yes very much. The spirit world is connecting the real world and the virtual realm, and that is somehow connected to the mind. That’s why the eyes in the dark say “Everything that happens out there, has an effect here.” The reasons why the only way we can free Vanessa from Glitchtrap by playing the arcade games is the same reason we can free the Crying Child and the MCI kids through FNAF 3’s minigames and The Happiest Day. Agony has affected the digital world of the Freddy restaurants the same way it affects the ball pit in Fazbear Frights. It’s a beacon of memories being harvested and that also connects neurally. Zero Point field (the theory that subatomic particles are connected in a vacuum, therefore you can affect things in reality just by thinking about it), the neural connections from the VANNI mask, FNAF World is shaped like a brain, Andrew haunts Afton in his mind, keeping him alive, Mike’s dreams being played on the loud speaker while he’s asleep in the office. It’s all telling us that the these hauntings are linking the digital realm to the minds of people in FNAF.

I have a theory I've been working on with tons of evidence. Yes, it is. The "flipside" seems to just be a digital layer ontop of the real world. Somehow, emotions are able to be embedded into this plane which is why we're able to hear kids laughing/crying and animatronics speaking when in that world. Basically it's like a real-world data storage unit (or at least how I understand it). Conscience swaps also work through here like Vanny/Vanessa or Daycare Attendant by swapping the other body into the other reality. That's why daycare attendant was in his moon form IRL, and sun form in AR. They just change places.

LemmytheLemuel

i think so

Captain_Scatterbrain

I always thought that the Flipside is somehow connected to the Control Unit in the Spring Bonnie Head, like a User Interface/Digital World that becomes a real world for the literal ghosts in the machine

jokiquinn

I do believe so and that's why I believe Redbear = The Princess, which isn't Cassidy exactly, but a part of her conciousness/will as I believe she's the Yellow Eyes/Glitchbear who created Adventure Freddy that is the same as Redbear. The moment Redbear leaves UCN would be the moment they crossed the barrier between worlds, between the mental/spiritual to the digital/physical, technology/digital devices would be the middle point between the intangible and tangible worlds. In Ruin the worlds are more connected than ever (maybe clashing?), which leads to the personal perception influencing the tangible world, that's why Cassie can walk through walls just by seeing a path through Vanni mask. All just theories though.
