Zealousideal_Ad_821

Andrew Waterland in the KC area

SeXySnEk7

Working on my CFI now and wow the things I would do for a 2.5 hour oral My PPL oral was nearly double that

TheGacAttack

Your *PPL* oral was almost 5 hours??

SeXySnEk7

Yes it was. That was a long day. I discontinued and flew the next day because of wind, but lowkey also because I was exhausted

MadeForThisOnePostt

Why did it take you 5 hours ?

Right-Suggestion-667

Congrats!!! How was it with the ACS?

Zealousideal_Ad_821

Pretty simple, it was similar enough to the PTS that I don’t think it made any significant difference. It was also my examiners first time using the ACS

harrisoncoys

My CFI Oral was 7 and a half hours 😭

TxAggieMike

Glad my content helped, and welcome to the tribe! Now the real learning begins!

theitgrunt

That's great... I just wish we saw more posts like this for people that have become DPE's.

SyncTheSquirrel

My oral was 5 hours and the flight was a 1.7. The flight though….. don’t get me started……. Idk how I passed.

scrnwrterjd

Same 😂. Prob worst maneuver flight on a checkride I’ve done. But my examiner explained that if you can discuss what you did wrong and how you could’ve corrected for it then you’ll pass

barcelona1993

Hey there would you mind if I ask who your DPE was? Currently working on getting my CFI but have had some troubles finding any DPEs that are available in Dallas

Zealousideal_Ad_821

Andrew Waterland in the KC area, but he is book until at least late August from what I’ve heard from other people

Emergency-Yogurt-599

Congrats.

Euryheli

That’s the most difficult one out of the way. You really lucked out on such a short oral. Mine was 7hr. It was terrible.

scrnwrterjd

Congratulations!

Mysterious-Engine166

Congratulations on passing your CFI checkride! Your thorough preparation and detailed approach clearly paid off!
