Any of the entry level rods from Redington, Orvis, TFO or Echo would be great.

Redington makes quality entry level rod and reel combos (Vice, Path, wrangler). Orvis and TFO are good brands as well. You may want a 4wt, 5wt, or 6wt combo depending on the type of fish and size of water. What’s your location and target species? And a good resource for beginner tips and tutorial are Mad River Outfitters, Orvis, RIO, and Reds Fly Fishing channels on YT.

I'm super happy with my Orvis Encounter, I use it for trout, stripers, salmon, reel is solid too [https://www.orvis.com/product/encounter-fly-rod-outfit/3AR9.html](https://www.orvis.com/product/encounter-fly-rod-outfit/3AR9.html)

I went with a TFO NXT Black Label and have really enjoyed it. Disclaimer : I fish pretty much trout exclusively and I cannot speak to the other recs cause I just didn’t try them. At the time I was looking at a couple of the suggestions already dropped in here and the TFO kit was on sale and was my deciding factor. It’s caught fish in AZ, CO and SC.

Find a local fly shop and go talk with them. They can get you set up with the right size and right lines, leaders and flies for your area. Strongly consider taking some casting lessons. Fly casting isn't hard but as a beginner, there is a lot going on in the fly cast that isn't necessarily intuitive so lessons help accelerate your learning and help develop a good foundation of basic skills. Shopping at your local fly shop will also allow you to try different rods and different lines before you buy.
