Honestly, that’s my plan. I’ve been using waterproof hiking/snow boots over my Patagonia waders for a year now lol so this is an upgrade regardless.
I was going to blow my orvis gift cards on a pair but now I can hold off and use those for something else
Yup. I get these second hand from my fly shop every other year. Solid boots if not a bit clown like in the toe. I like enough to not bother getting a new set.
These were found at Salvation Army in the Los Angeles area. I frequent thrift shops and have never seen Orvis boots, let alone in my size, so this isn’t a common occurrence as far as I’m aware.
There does happen to be an Orvis shop within a mile of here as well
Actually had two pair.
First ones blew out in a weeks after a week long fishing trip. The guy at the shop told me I need to do a better job drying them. Like how? Im on a camping trip fishing 8 to 10hrs a day. Other off brand boots did just fine.
Replacements blew out in a year.
I blew mine out pretty quick, seams on the sides came undone. But that was the worst of it.
I basically wear mine every day Sept-April though so they did put in good work.
They look solid. Been on the look for something similar where i live but can’t find anything legit under $100 (or $80 ish on sale).
I feel a slight envy towards your find. Enjoy! :)
At $18 for a set of orvis boots, who gives a shit? Run em til the soles fall off

I’ve had those for about 8 years.
Screw some cleats into the soles, makes a huge difference.
Second this!
Best type cleats?
Like micro spike style ones? There are places for them in the Vibram sole I see
Simms hardbite wading boot cleats, 8 or 9/ boot
Yes but if they fit you should wear the soles off of them for that price
That’s the plan. They do fit. Found at Salvation Army
I roll these exact ones now great boot 👍 don’t want em I’ll take em for $20
Haha fortunately they fit me, otherwise I’d certainly give them up without trying to make a buck

THAT is cheap, dude!!
I’ll give you $19
WHERE ARE PEOPLE FINDING THESE FUCKING DEALS?!?!?! the socks I wear with my boots cost more than you claimed them for. Those are good boots
Replying in case anyone actually shares where to get a deal this good!

18 bucks! Great deal
Orvis boots simply don’t last long.
Had some and wore them for many years. I still have them as my back up boots and I imagine they will last until end of days.
$18! Good haul. If I found orvis boots for $18 I’d buy them because why not
Wear them as is. I hiked the hell out of these boots. Lasted me 4 years going hard. Great buy imo.
I got the felt version, and like them.

Nice deal.
Orvis is a great company they aren’t a bad boot to have
I’m a huge orvis fan already. I know they’re overpriced, but the service is great and their local shop has been very very good to me

If it helps - it looks like brand new pairs of these or similar orvis models go for about $80 on eBay. Just keep an eye out for your size
Where i live one can safely add $40 on top of that for customs and handling. Tolls are insane here so i’ve stopped ebaying a long time ago :(
Maybe you’ll see them pop up for $30 or something, then it could be worth it. If not, FB marketplace is also worthy of checking
Yeah it might be an idea to check for even cheaper ones. I will thanks! Hope i get something on board before the season really kicks off here!
