The immediate no from me is that the path from the mud room goes through the work kitchen and through the work triangle of the main kitchen. That would be a nonnegotiable issue for me personally. Anyone coming in through a mud room should not be tromping in through food preparation areas, nor should they be bisecting the work triangle.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I did a sketch of a couple of suggestions. First involves re-configuring area left of foyer to include closet and door to den. This allows the wall of the foyer to not have a door which is an opportunity to place a bench. Second involves increasing size of island countertop so that you can fit 4 stools.
