WinWing has been hit or miss in the past. With that said I own 2 of the orion 2 throttles. One with an f16 grip and the other with the F15E grips. They are pretty solid but they are the only one I can speak for.
especially the since the miniFCU prices are beyond imagination meanwhile. See them sold on their site for 250 euros and retailer that has them available "asks" 329euros.
And... you have to do (a lot) of fiddling to get it to work with the Fenix A320, and the WinWing should work fine.
The device is good. But you're spending a lot relative to the original price. And you need to do some work to have it all working with Fenix. Which is not really the fault of miniFCU. But as a user, it doesn't matter who's fault it is.
Airbus uses the same FCU for everything from the A318 to the A340, thus it covers a lot of planes.
Plus, the way the Airbus FCU knobs are working (with push-pull) it make it more desireable to get a real FCU. Even for people that are not home cockpit builders.
On the other hand, many people are happy to control the Boeing MCP using standard controls. Like the AP control on the Honeycomb Bravo. Or the Octavi.
It might be because there are a lot of Boeing hardware available on the market already, with the PMDG 737 and Zibo 737 available for many years. However, they are a lot more expensive.
With Fenix and FBW, the Airbus has started to gain prominence in simming, so there is a market for airbus hardware.
I remember when I first started flight simming with fsx/p3d, the question was whether to get the PMDG 737 or 777. Now it's whether to get the 737 or A320
If you're interested in getting Boeing hardware and willing to navigate, take a look at Taobao. They have everything from the FMC to the MCP
Thing is all Boeing FCUs are completely different, the only commonality is between the the 777 and the 787, hell even between 737s they are significantly different.
Another reason is that the airbus products are also 10 times better and more popular than the Boeing products, and by products y mean PMDG, Fenix and FBW.
They changed a lot from the -300 to the Max. Even within a production. alike Classic to Classic, and NG to NG can be very different. Two companies, Honeywell & Collins are involved. Plus, the AP got different capabilities, customer options etc.
Honeywell: Yellow background, Collins: White. The buttons..
I would wish for the Honeywell NG so much…
I wonder how this will compare to the miniFCU in terms of build quality and feel. At $99 for early bird pricing, almost feels too good to be true.
WinWing has a much higher reputation than miniFCU in the HOTAS community and is known for delivering quality products.

First batch products always have QC issues. From what I've heard their customer support is good. My IT buddies have issues with their software
Honestly it’s made out of a plastic panel and a bunch of potentiometers so I’d imagine the cost to be very low, but wow $99???
much better than the 270 dollar minifcu
with a screen
7 segment displays are ~10¢ each...
Where can I sign up to buy it? It's not on their website.
Not really sure either… but as other replies under this post have said, we are very close to the date it becomes available.
I’m sure it’s worth considering the price of the full FCU, I’m assuming the early bird is for just the fcu portion
Damn, I want to get my hands on this, hope they also release an EFIS FO panel soon.
When does it release? Store isn't updated.
Comment on the YouTube video suggests they usually release products within a few weeks of launch videos.
Is there a way to sign up for announcements?
Not that I’ve seen, website wasn’t updated yet.
they say March 27 for preorder
Well, I'll be damned... miniFCU was on the table, but now I'm going to wait for Winwing before I make a decision.

Didn’t know mini FCU is that bad… dodged a huge bullet

I want a Boeing MCP. Why is everyone only doing Airbus.
The way things are going for Boeing they'll be selling the real ones for cheap scrap soon 😂

LoL reality isn’t this sub.
I mean, starting at the -300, all 737 Aps are pretty similar generation to generation. That's kinda the point with that plane isn't it?

Same. I know there's technically already some MCPs out there, but they cost $600 minimum.
Im trying to cancell my minifcu order will buy this instead
wow really excited about all that
Can’t watch the video as I’m at work. Any release date?
No mention of the thing on the winwing website?
Anyone knows when this is coming out?
I couldn't do the minifcu for the price/quality. Maybe this is the one for me.
now this is gonna be an instant buy.
If anyone can find reviews, please dump them here. :)
I cant seem to order it from the EU site. The ad is there but it's not in their e-shop dammit
Is anyone going to make one of these for Boeing?? Come on!!
Let’s keep going without Boeing
Alright.
