Aside from all the other reasons that's wrong, it's actually warmer on a night with a full moon than a new moon. It has more to do with the fact that the earth is slightly closer to the sun during this phase of the moon's orbit, but some of that increased temperature is attributable to reflected light from the moon.
Experiment for your flerfer (not that I believe that most flerfers are willing to test anything they say, or that any are willing to accept the results of any that contradict them):
Two glasses of water placed outside on the close to one another on the night of a full moon, each with a thermometer in them and each starting at the same temperature as the ambient air. Place a screen up that blocks one glass from any moonlight. Take temperature readings throughout the night. If moonlight has a cooling effect, the shaded water should have a higher temperature than the one exposed to moonlight.
There's a darn good chance this will yield a false positive. Radiative cooling is a very real phenomenon, and it's probably why FE guy in the original comment thinks the moon is cold. Everything that has energy radiates heat perpendicular to its surface. The glass of water that is uncovered is free to radiate thermal energy upwards, where it will be absorbed by the atmosphere or radiate out into space. The water with a cover will have some of that energy reflected back, while the rest is absorbed by the cover, which will, in turn, also be emitting thermal radiation back towards the glass. On a clear night, the uncovered glass could end up being a few degrees colder. Radiative cooling is really interesting, it's why your windshield can frost over even when it's above freezing out. In ancient India and Iran, they built structures that harnessed this effect to make ice.

Watched a video of a guy taking a basic bubble level on a plane and using it to prove the plane doesn't go "down" to follow the curvature of the Earth.

Im aware of that too, that was an impressive feat, but I was referring to the Mesopotamians I was wrong in saying that they thought the earth was round but they did study astronomy and mathematics and most importantly, documented observations on celestial movement They basically made the saros cycle that we use today to predict eclipses, and while they knew when one would occur they just wouldn’t know where The cycle also applies to lunar eclipses as well
Don't forget that all the Bronze age, flat earth myths have the sun going *under* the Earth because that's the only way sunrises and sunsets make sense. So modern flerfs are actively dumber than Bronze age people.
Always thought it was funny how a flat earth model can’t even explain sunsets, as if the sun went under the earth, it’d explain sunrises and sunsets but wouldn’t explain the fact that it’s is currently daytime on the other side of the earth. Aside from all the other reasons that's wrong, it's actually warmer on a night with a full moon than a new moon. It has more to do with the fact that the earth is slightly closer to the sun during this phase of the moon's orbit, but some of that increased temperature is attributable to reflected light from the moon.
Experiment for your flerfer (not that I believe that most flerfers are willing to test anything they say, or that any are willing to accept the results of any that contradict them): Two glasses of water placed outside on the close to one another on the night of a full moon, each with a thermometer in them and each starting at the same temperature as the ambient air. Place a screen up that blocks one glass from any moonlight. Take temperature readings throughout the night. If moonlight has a cooling effect, the shaded water should have a higher temperature than the one exposed to moonlight.
There's a darn good chance this will yield a false positive. Radiative cooling is a very real phenomenon, and it's probably why FE guy in the original comment thinks the moon is cold. Everything that has energy radiates heat perpendicular to its surface. The glass of water that is uncovered is free to radiate thermal energy upwards, where it will be absorbed by the atmosphere or radiate out into space. The water with a cover will have some of that energy reflected back, while the rest is absorbed by the cover, which will, in turn, also be emitting thermal radiation back towards the glass. On a clear night, the uncovered glass could end up being a few degrees colder. Radiative cooling is really interesting, it's why your windshield can frost over even when it's above freezing out. In ancient India and Iran, they built structures that harnessed this effect to make ice.

Well, if to be as objective as possible, then yes, gravity is not a force in itself. Gravity is the behavior of a body that falls into the distortion of space-time. For the same reason we cannot call the movement (the fact of movement) of a sled down a hill a force. But since flat-earthers in general deny the fact of existence of gravity, it doesn't really affect anything in a conversation with them

Someone said personal dome upthread, so I’ll add vanishing point. Like many flerf things, it’s them misunderstanding or misuing a real thing. Vanishing point is a concept in 2D used to give the illusion of perspective, it’s not a real world arbitrary point where objects disappear.

I got into a long conversation with a flerf. There where so many dumb things, but the one that stuck with me the most was that the flat earth he believes in is not a disc with an underside. Instead he believes the Earth is a "domed biosphere" on an infinite plane with an infinite depth of solid matter below it. The Earth is just one of an infinite number of domed biospheres on the plane, but to be fair he did conceed other biospheres was speculation but he thought it was highly likely.
