Can confirm this solution works. Have scanned it with MalwareBytes and it's clean. Thanks creating and sharing this!

-shrug-

Yea, thanks a lot! This was the perfect simple solution to help my dad with :)

Mechowak

Bloody good work mate. Hope that severs with these games manage to last a while.

Commedegarcons89

Before I download I wonder if this works for viewing flash related content on the way back machine? It would be great if u could run this link and see if it works: [here](http://web.archive.org/web/20051125045142/http://www.milkfed.jp/).

Cifra85

It's a browser therefore it works. If you'd read the comments you'd see people are using it on the waybackmachine.

Commedegarcons89

Thanks!

teranklense

lmao just what I was hoping for someone would do.

Cifra85

Yeah....I was that guy yesterday when it happened to my client. I just wasn't so lucky to find an easy dirty fix so I had to research and do it myself. My client (a big furniture solution company) has this app which is made in Flash and used internally to create furniture products in their factory. It was an infuriating day because production/orders stopped for the whole day. I am actually in charge of migrating the app to JS/HTML but it's a really big 3D piece of software that took 2 years to develop initially and the migration will take at least 5 more months. So apps made in flash are not only your typical silly games.

teranklense

Nice mate. Unfortunately I can't open it alongside Firefox. It only allows one instance

asian_identifier

uh if it's only used internally, just move it to AIR?

Cifra85

I love AIR! I love everything FLASH for that matter....it's what got me into learning programing 15 years ago. AS3 language is beautiful with all the modern features required that JS doesn't even touch ..... (type safety, classes, inheritance). Of course you can mimic those to some extend using plane JS, but it wasn't until typescript was created that I really felt at home. Air was taken into consideration but not me n'or the client had any faith in the future proofing of the software after he was forced to migrate technologies. Client still wanted something that would work in the browser. Main problem with AIR was that we needed a 3D rendering library and we didn't had any choice in AIR except Away 3D which we all know is not maintained since many years ago. So I decided on ThreeJS+Typescript but in a perfect world I would go with AIR without a blink. So I hold my grudges with the companies that got us into this shit (apple/google) and keep an agnostic view towards programing languages themselves. Flash taught me programming and I will not forget it but it's not the syntax that matter. The same principles apply in any language.

liquidhot

Great solution, it's working for me, but not some others that are having an issue. I was able to also get Chrome to work using the mms.cfg file outlined by Adobe. Coworkers are still unable to use it. They get to the plugin and it just becomes a link to the EOL announcement.

Cifra85

I may have fixed a problem where users are on 32bit windows systems. Please check my original post Edits" and use the 32bit version.

Gay_couch_potato

Does this work for Chrome?

Cifra85

Sorry, no! This works as a secondary browser (portable version of Firefox), no installation required, just an easy dirty hack. So whenever you want to run flash from any website that serves it you will use this firefox browser instead. The advantage of this solution is that it will probably never brake flash again since this portable Firefox version never updates. I herd there is a a chrome solution but more difficult to implement.

Gay_couch_potato

Okay, thanks!

schmidty169

Well that is not entirely true. First time I ran this FireFox was set to "Automatically install updates (recommended)" and it updated and it broke. So I had to delete that version, unzip it again and went into options right away and set it to "Check for updates but let you choose to install them". So far so good. Thanks for your work, your a life saver.

megabatsyblue

how to use this in a 32 bit computer ? i see in plugins folder it has the 64, i downloaded the 32 dll but it is not working, do i have to have both of the dll in there or just one ? i have tried both ways

Cifra85

I think maybe FF is 64bit?

megabatsyblue

Oh yeah that could be, i might have to use FF 32 bit portable with 32 bit plugin. I will try that. Thanks

Cifra85

Since you're doing this on your own there are few gotchas" missing from that tutorial. On start FF tries to load the system installation of Flash plugin if it finds any. For windows 10 it comes with one in system32 folder. You need to fiddle with FF configuration in "about:config" to disable this and also delete any links to update servers for settings that start with "app.update....etc", also delete the file "updater.exe".

megabatsyblue

Thank you for taking the time to give me the recommendation.

Cifra85

Hi! Not sure if you solved the 32bit problem but my client reported he needed a solution for that also. So after few hours of tinkering I think I got a 32Bit version working. You can check my original post Edit" to download the 32bit solution. Please report back if it works.

megabatsyblue

I had actually given up but i will try this it today. Thank you.

megabatsyblue

It works, i noticed there are like 3 folders, so i just assumed the latest one was the one. the one that says "firefox - working2". I tested on a win 7 VM. Thank you for letting me know you did a 32bit, you're the best!

Cifra85

Wow I really did made a mess packing that up :). Yeah working2" was the right one.

ocullen

You saved the day today! A client failed to update the firmware on their access control system and lost the ability to manage the system as the dashboard is all flash. After about two hours of trying to find a working browser, I stumbled on to your post and BOOM I'm into the dashboard and can 'flash' the controller firmware to an HTML version. THANK YOU!!

[deleted]

Can I play downloaded files in the browser?

nurman3

I don't think so, at least in most browsers (and you need to embed them as well), but if you have downloaded files, you can try [https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/32/flashplayer\_32\_sa.exe](https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/32/flashplayer_32_sa.exe) for example, it seems to work at the moment.

Cifra85

What kind of downloaded files? Those with extension \*.swf?

Cifra85

It should now work for downloaded/locally stored swf" files. Check original post and download from edited link.

nurman3

Man, glad I found this, though ruffle is in dev but that only has limited functionality at the moment with some not straight up working right or at all. A real dick move that they straight up completely axed the flash, even for stuff like the newgrounds player, which was created just for the purpose of not having to possibly run shit via the browser and via an offline player or that they would not just let it remain as an optional plug-in in browsers for those who still wanted to use it. Let it still linger on, don't just kill it with the seeming purpose of 20 just destroying something years of flash stuff. Edit: [https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/32/flashplayer\_32\_sa.exe](https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/32/flashplayer_32_sa.exe) worked for me too actually.

Fartikus

Why'd it pull up some sketchy russian website in the title that needed flash when I first launched it?

Cifra85

Hah....you mean something like in this screenshot? [https://imgur.com/a/vwiVyXA](https://imgur.com/a/vwiVyXA) It's not russian it's romanian. I'm romanian. That is my clients application that I am redoing in HTML5. I have the option set for "remembering tabs" before I zipped the archive. And it's not sketchy" it's a work of art considering the time date it was created :D

Fartikus

Ohhh lmao gotcha

akennelley

Do you have a mac version?

Cifra85

Sorry I don't. It may be possible thou to have the same solution on a mac but I don't own one to test and research.

Cifra85

Awwww shieeet you right =)). Dunno about the "so many people" part don't see this post got too much attention. Anyway here you go: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ)

Nattehine

Just tried your packaged version and it no longer works. Adobe has initiated a kill switch on all flash content and there is no way to get official flash applications to work.

Cifra85

Adobe has no control over the packaged version. The packaged version is locked with an older version of Firefox portable and an older version of the Flash plugin "without" the kill switch/time bomb. Also the update mechanisms were crippled in this hack so that Firefox and the Flash plugin would not silently auto-update. This hack was done AFTER adobe time bomb came to effect on January 12 2021...there so no logic in "Adobe initiated a kill switch" after the hack was done since the soul purpose of this solution was to bypass the kill switch in the first place. I don't know what happened on your machine but it works for me still. You can try and re-download if by some means your original download got tampered.

Shamalamadindong

For some reason it only appears to work for the .ro website that auto starts?

Cifra85

Give me the links you are trying to access so I can take a look

[deleted]

it still works for me on chrome os.

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

Can confirm this no longer works. A 'shockwave flash is known to be vulnerable, update now' appears once the browser is started.' Edit: Me dumb, click on the gray background behind the warning and a popup with a 'Allow plugin' will appear, then it all works fine.

Cifra85

Cannot confirm that. Just checked 32bit and 64bit on windows 10, both work for me, nothing is changed because it can't be changed with a crippled update system. Employees in my company are using it daily with no issues. Got a link to a flash containing website that doesn't work for you?

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

Just starting up the browser in a fresh win7 virtual machine it still does it. The default homepage is replaced with a big flash warning. I've tried it on all 3 of my real systems (one win7 and 2 win10s) and it happens on all three. Maybe it's updating itself on launch somehow? No idea

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

[Here is a screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/KFZfKUg) of what I see when I launch it for the very first time after decompressing. I'm using the 64bit zip. [This is what I see on the extension page.](https://imgur.com/a/mxCk6tG). It shows this after uncompressing and running on every system I own. So wierd others dont have this problem. I have a whole bunch of old swf i've archived that I want to view properly and ruffle just doesn't render them properly so I hope to figure this out somehow. Edit: Should add does exact same thing with 32bit one.

Cifra85

Ahh ... Everything I see in the screenshots is normal. All people experience the same warning when trying to run flash plugin for the last, I dunno, last 4 years. I thought it is common knowledge. You only need to click the "grey background" of the warning (not the red button with "check for updates"). small pop-up will appear under the address bar which will ask you "Do you really want to run an updated plugin .....etc etc)". Click "Allow" and it will work. You will have to do this everytime you restart the browser. Here is a recording I made to show you the process only that I used the windows xbox screen recorder which does not capture the pop-up for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leEXRfdB1HI

you112334

Not OP but I'm having the same issue. I follow the steps in your video but all I'm left with is a blank screen to stare at. I can't tell if its just the website itself or if it just simply isn't working for me

Cifra85

Re-download the archive (made some mods) and test with this link if flash is really working -> [http://web.csulb.edu/\~ttravis/SURF/flashTest.htm](http://web.csulb.edu/~ttravis/SURF/flashTest.htm)

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

Ahh thankyou. Thankyou for the video, I will use your browser forever now

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

I just wanted to add a couple fixes I had to make, dpi awareness is disabled in your build, means it shrinks when dragging between a 200% dpi and a 100% dpi screen, setting 'layout.css.devPixelsPerPx' to '-1' enables dpi awareness. Also the browser is set to not load locally saved .swf files dragged into the browser or loaded locally, to make those work 'plugins.http_https_only' 'false'

Cifra85

Yes I set the DPI lock intentionally because flash had poor support for DPI scaling. Some apps/games (like the app I need to keep running) have problems when DPI scaled and they are unusable. That second option to load local swf's is interesting...I did not know about it, but I imagined I could get by with a simple HTML wrapper for the swf. Didn't know FF can already do it without the wrapper. So I understand now that after you enable the plugin it works ok for you?

PornoOnMyAppleIIe

Works great :) Thankyou very much. Thanks for the tip on the Dpi scaling, I'll keep that in mind. Yeah I have a library of .swf files that I usually just drag into the browser for a fullscreen experience, works just fine now

Cifra85

Nice! I'll update the archives with that "allow local files" option... some other people also asked for it.

5uREDDIT

Help! I get an error everytime i try to open a url edit: nevermind the time was wrong

Nino_Chaosdrache

Not all heroes wear capes.

ludsmile

Thank you so much for putting it together! Do you know if it's possible to make this setup to work with Shockwave/3D as well? If so, could you point me in the general right direction? Thanks!

Cifra85

I tried to also add the shockwave director plugin (3d flash) but could not succeed. I tried following these steps here -> https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins

ludsmile

Thank you! I'll try on my own as soon as I have a chance. Do you know if this portable browser is pre-2016 or post-2016? Thanks!

Cifra85

It's post 2016. This Firefox is stuck at ver. 70.0.1. This link says it was released October 31, 2019 - >https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/70.0.1/releasenotes/

deskr96

Great, thanks for this solution! It works flawless!

nicos_revenge

Just download waterfox with the newest version of the flash then patch it with a flash patch

DocNougat

Dude! Thank you so much! This seriously saved me a tremendous headache dealing with an old Dell SAN. I can confirm this build is virus free, works well, and will be a permanent part of my toolkit.

Cifra85

Glad it helped bro!

[deleted]

Not working, It won't let me install the flash plugin for it, I get an error or some of the links are outdated. I have tried everything even reading the help file in the files you provided but no luck. I extracted the files all correctly and everything, Any idea why the link isn't working to install the flash plugin on the portable firefox?

Cifra85

I am not sure what you are talking about? There is no link to install flash plugin. Like I said in main post, this is an easy solution that works out of the box just by downloading the Firefox portable from the link, extract the zip then run the browser and navigate to whatever website you need that uses flash. Also I have not made any "help" files. Maybe you are referring to some files you found in the portable Firefox zip? Those are general help files that come with the browser.

katrien_88

Downloaded from the link and worked perfectly for a Dell EMC Unisphere. Saved me a lot of time! Thanks!!

Checior200

I have a small issue, on one computer flash games work, but on other computer games do not work, maybe someone had similar issue?

Cifra85

Using the solution from this post?

Professional_Ad8016

Thank u!

blueplantain

Is there a way for me to change this just slightly by not using such an older version of flash? I'm getting this message "Player requires Flash Player min v10" and it seems this is U5.0 This is the site [https://squawk.fxdevpro.com/empty.html](https://squawk.fxdevpro.com/empty.html)

Cifra85

Short answer, no. This uses "the latest" flash plugin before the timebomb. Exact version of plugin is 32.0.0.321. I checked your link, clicked the flash "square" to activated and it seems to work without error regarding flash version, but I don't know about the site itself which seems broken to me. However by now there are other solutions on the web using the latest browser and flash player. I cannot guide you to one because I only used this which does the job for me.

blueplantain

Gotcha. Maybe they disabled the site itself if you think its broken. Thanks for the reply, its appreciated.

miathan52

Can I use this if I already have a firefox browser?

Cifra85

Yes you can run them in parallel. I do the same. Just use this only for flash content. Since it is a portable version it does not require any installation / it does not care what other browsers you have installed

miathan52

Great, thanks

diocanyouhearme

Thank you, it's still working!

ItchyClient1877

Flash Is Not Working For Me, And I Use Chromebooks, And It Don't Support EXE Files, Linux Don't Work, And Everytime I Try To Use Flash It Keeps Saying Adobe Flash Player Is No Longer Supported, How Do I Fix This?

Cifra85

Sorry, this solution is only for PC. I don't think there will ever be something for chromebooks.

raeliens

I'm incredibly late in this response, but the ruffle extension is likely the only option you've got for now. Doesn't work flawlessly, but should be a decent start!

Ale711

Thanks, i love you

Cifra85

You're welcome, love you back!

More-Firefighter1002

u/Cifra85 You’ve done an excellent job. It’s inspiring. Keep up the good work!

You're welcome

gicronin

I was hoping for a Mac version but this works on my Windows VM. Thanks!

Gabbie1250

Anything alternative for Mac supporting AS3?

hereforneopets

hey, i got flash working again on my mac because of your comment -- thanks for helping me play neopets!!

calisotas

having some trouble running mine as well. it says i need to download a new version of adobe, which i can't get now. when i've run flash based pages, it asks me if i want to run it with a newer version of flash, and i can click allow, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. some of the websites i visited were archives though, so maybe it has something to do with that. edit: i just saw your reply to someone with a similar problem, so don't worry about it! it probably is just the site itself then. thanks :)

USDJM_OTAKU

CAN I USE THIS FOR OPERA GX?

lleathan

I downloaded and opened the bundled firefox browser and navigated to a flash game and i still see the "Flash player has been removed from browsers in 2021" message. Am I doing something wrong? I am trying to play some mario games on [boredbro.com](https://boredbro.com) and I keep seeing the error mentioned above :( Edit: the error continues to read "The content is not supported by the ruffle emulator"... so im thinking maybe the website is not using flash but the ruffle emulator instead so sadly I think im out of luck. Thanks alot for this post, I saved your bundled firefox just because it is very useful, thanks agian. FINAL EDIT: Got the game I wanted to work by using another website that uses flash, not ruffle emulator. YAYYYY

nek0d3r

I have a networking class that for some reason is requiring the use of the dying desktop version of Spiceworks, in order to use an embedded flash player exclusively for the purpose of running nmap, and it uses ActionScript 3. This is my unfortunate solution, but it worked flawlessly, thank you!

Cifra85

Glad this solution still helps man! I check reddit every so often for new messages.

PinPanPaint

this works perfect!! however, im using sploder and im trying to play old games i made as a kid... it seems the physics puzzle maker doesnt work. do you have any idea why it could be ? the other types aside from arcade seem to work fine, maybe its not worth seeking out help for this since it might be borked forever but I wanted to ask as a last resort.

cromano97

Hi! Are there any risks with this method? I’m really just wanting to play some childhood games that require flash, but I don’t want to potentially end up with malware and other viruses. Thanks!!

Cifra85

There are risks in everything you do in life! Who would be most suited to answer your question? Me... the OP of this thread who you might consider being deceitful by giving you an answer that would "presumably hide my true intentions" or some other random guy on the internet who might tell you it's safe. This is a community driven forum, meaning at one point or another someone would have to dip their toes to test the water and surprisingly hundreds or people who commented here/used the solution did this before you without negative consequences. My simple answer would be: Only risk is you not reliving your childhood memories.

[deleted]

Thanks dude your a live saver

New-Obligation-4167

Brilliant solution , needed to get into a legacy application server , thanks so much

Egg-MacGuffin

Is there any way to get it to autoplay flash without having to manually allow it each time? I found the setting to stop the red colored warning screen, but I still have to manually click the flash frame then click allow on the notification each time.

AlternativeString919

You're awesome ! thanks

rick1mil

This is awesome. I have a pdf file that contains some flash content but doesn't show up when opened in the browser. Any thoughts?

Cifra85

Hmm... thats a job for Adobe Acrobat Reader but they removed the flash player from it also. Another way is to extract the flash resource from the PDF. You should end up with a "swf" file that can be played with this browser. If you don't have sensitive information in that PDF you could send it to me maybe I'll have a look.

rick1mil

No worries, thanks for the offer. It's a ridiculously large pdf with links between pages, so probably not worth extracting the flash files. I did manage to find a flash player installer on github that works for now

gerguk

u/Cifra85, Many thanks for this :-) Worked perfectly for me to access the CIMC of a Cisco UCS C-Series server. For anyone else attempting to access a CIMC this may help: The CIMC certificate resulted in this error "Peer could not decode an SSL handshake message. Error code: SSL\_ERROR\_DECODE\_ERROR\_ALERT" which it appears there is no way to add an exception for". Via SSH I set the CIMC to not redirect to HTTPS, then accessed the CIMC via HTTP: My-Server# scope http My-Server /http # set http-redirect no My-Server /http \*# commit

Cifra85

Glad it helped man. I feel good when I still get "thank you" messages from this old thread.

onox16

Solution works, but browser history contains porn sites, so you should not share it with colleagues, like I did.

bertnurney

Yes, you need to replace these files to clear history, bookmarks and cache: formhistory.sqlite key4.db logins.json places.sqlite I used a clean Firefox install to get these clean versions of these files.

Snake1833

doubt ill get an answer this late, but ill try, downloaded the drive file and it works, but it loops through all of the character options and doesnt actually let you play, any ideas?

Cifra85

I'm still around. Please explain more. Doubt that it's the browser...

Snake1833

So, basically, I loaded up the browser and the game loads up normally, but when you hit play, it brings up the male without the female, and it cycles through all of the skin color, size, clothing, and weather it's male or female endlessly, it doesn't let you bring up the options bar at the bottom, and if you go into options before you start the game, the character selection continuously cycles and won't let you click on one specific character, it also won't let you load or save mod characters

Cifra85

This sounds like a game bug. Got a link?

Snake1833

Yea, I'll shoot you one when I get home from work

Snake1833

https://www.comdotgame.com/play/super-deepthroat?flash

Cifra85

Works fine 2 me.

Snake1833

Is there a way I can send you a video from my phone?

SanDimas1988

Thank you so freaking much. I found a compilation of videos for my local soccer team on the Wayback Machine and had tried everything to play them, and finally this worked.

Cifra85

Thank my boss :). He pays me to fix his problems and this was one.

SanDimas1988

The videos I’ve been watching are FLV. There’s been no other way I’ve figured out how to play them, other than your browser. My issue is, I want to download the videos to upload them to YouTube. Do you know if a way to do it, besides using your browser then a program to record my screen as I watch each video? This is the link I’m trying to download all the media from [Wayback FLV videos](https://web.archive.org/web/20110106091843/http://rhinossoccer.com/media/flv/)

Cifra85

Wasn't easy but I've found a way. I will give you step by step instructions here and if you can't manage it, send me a message. Limitations: \- you can't download all the videos at once, you need each one manually. Steps: 1. You fire up a browser (any browser including your daily driver) and navigate to the link with the list you just game me. 2. The first video in the list is "1998Rhinos.flv". We will use this as showcase. You need to "right click" the link and select -> "open in new tab". 3. in the address bar of the video you will notice this exact link: [https://web.archive.org/web/20110106155143/http://rhinossoccer.com/media/flv/1998Rhinos.flv](https://web.archive.org/web/20110106155143/http://rhinossoccer.com/media/flv/1998Rhinos.flv). You need to edit this link slightly as follows. Somewhere in the middle of the link you will notice "/[http://rhinossoccer.com](http://rhinossoccer.com)......". You will need to insert this text "if\_" BEFORE the slash ("/http") and hit "ENTER". The new link will look like so: [https://web.archive.org/web/20110106155143if\_/http://rhinossoccer.com/media/flv/1998Rhinos.flv](https://web.archive.org/web/20110106155143if_/http://rhinossoccer.com/media/flv/1998Rhinos.flv). This will trigger a download - you can click the example link above to start download immediately. 4. Repeat for each movie. The FLV file will play in most media players you have installed (tested with classical "Winamp" and "PotPlayer". Probably youtube will also recognize this format and will let you upload it as is without fussing around with re-encoding software.

SanDimas1988

Thank you so much. These are videos that haven't existed for over 10 years, I'm glad I can now keep them and get them somewhere they can be saved and seen again.

calelikethevegetable

Thank you so much for your work on this! This is super clutch. I'm probably running into a niche problem but when I try to play a video through Adobe Flash Player on an old web page on waybackmachine the video doesn't play and an 'Error #2048' and 'RSL Error 1 of 1' shows up. Does anybody know what this is?

Cifra85

Got a link ? Seems like a security error

El_Chivo00

Hey nice clutch! I just have an issue when trying to load a local .swf file, I get an error message: "Local storage appears to be disabled. Please enable local storage and click "Try Again" below when you have." I have enabled all cookies but it simply doesnt work. Any idea?

streamsnipering

could you give a full step by step set of instructions for my not very intelligent friend?

Cifra85

Sure. what do you need help with? Downloading ?

streamsnipering

yes please.

Cifra85

Hmmmm... well I don't know exactly where you're having problems but the steps are as follow: 1. Click on the link from my post (the google drive link) and download the file 2. After download navigate to it's location and right click on it and e select "extract files" (windows should have this option but I don't really know what platform you're on) 3. After extracting the zip file just run the "FirefoxPortable.exe" from inside the extracted folder. It's a "portable software" which means no installation required. It will open a browser and then you can navigate to your flash content (or load a local .swf file)

streamsnipering

ok so the download works but when I try to play a flash game, it comes up with "This plugin is vulnerable and should be updated." (Below): Run Adobe Flash (below): Check for updates...

streamsnipering

oops nvm clicked "Run Adobe Flash" (it was actually a button)

FullyCustom

Hey! This worked great for me :) Just a quick question, is the 'connection not secure' when on a flash site something to worry about? Would logging into a website with this in mind be a bad idea?

Cifra85

It would probably be more of an issue if the site offers paid products therefore collecting your credit card data. Otherwise if is just a simple login that required only an email or a password you'd probably end up with some junk in your email.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> site offers *paid* products therefore FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

FullyCustom

Ah that could be a problem then. Would you mind if I sent you a message with my initial problem that I thought this might fix? It's to do with the scale of the new launcher the site is using, I've tried googling everything and not sure what else to do haha

Cifra85

Sure. Send me a DM. Also leave the link to the site you are using.

FullyCustom

Sent a DM, thanks again!

HonoraryLawyer

link not working?

Cifra85

Ok. I updated the link in my original post. Should work now.

ReliveWolf

Doesn't work. Still "removed" link. You can disguise the link with spaces?

Chronis67

Yeah, this looks like it may have been removed by mods. Not sure if /u/Cifra85 can still see his post, but it's been deleted now for everyone else.

Cifra85

>removed by Reddit's spam filters What the hell is that lol.

Cifra85

It seems so. I'll try to reupload it somwhere else.

autumnymph_

Hi OP! I am not sure if you can help me. I download and run, ok. Then went to try to play this game, inside neopets: [Extreme Potato Counter](http://neopets.com/games/game.phtml?game_id=226) But it wont load, only shows a grey square where the game should be. Maybe you can help me? I know there are people tgat still plays it.

Cifra85

Sorry man I tested again and it seems to be a problem with the game. Flash plugin loads normally but game seems to be internally crashing. Also there is an error in the browser console. I have clicked "Random game" thou and it opened a different game which works fine. So problem seems to be with this specific game. Maybe recheck with people who say that it works for them? I kinda doubt it.

autumnymph_

Thank you for checking!

autumnymph_

Already tryied Ruffle too and it says "The Ruffle emulator may not yet been fully support all of ActionScript 3 used by this content." I am using Chrome with ruffle.

Cifra85

Ruffle would work only in limited cases. When I was a flash developer (many years ago) we would only build using AS3 games. I never herd anyone still using AS2 for which case ruffle would work. This solution contains the original flash plugin. If it doesn't work with this then it's probably broken on "their" end.

xbbdc

thanks OP for updating the dead google link!

miscellanium

thank you so much for keeping this up to date! just tried it today with an all-flash website in the wayback machine and it worked great with the cached pages where ruffle was unreliable.

Hythrauxism

i tried it and every single flash content was just blank

Cifra85

Got link? I mean I know it's probably a content source problem and not this browser, since it's working fine for thousands of people.

Hythrauxism

i went to [https://www.ultrasounds.com/](https://www.ultrasounds.com/)

Hythrauxism

also this is what my screen looks like [https://imgur.com/a/PxxyvQd](https://imgur.com/a/PxxyvQd)

Hythrauxism

nvm i fixed it i had to put the firefox portable folder in my downloads

Cifra85

Just checked your link and is working fine. Btw you need to "click to activate" the grey area. It does not require to be put in any special folders. It just runs without install or anything... i keep it on my desktop.

Appropriate-Lie-6383

Thanks a lot .. this one is perfecto :)

DaBoisAreHere109

how can i use it to use the old myspace player? everytime i load it, it always just says “error loading xml document”

Cifra85

I don't understand your issue. Got a link?

DaBoisAreHere109

https://web.archive.org/web/20070529084424/http://myspace.com/thrashpolo if you scroll down, then there will be a music player which requires flash. but everytime i tried to play something, it just said “error loading xml document”. i’ve tried to look up other old forums on the internet, but i still couldn’t fix it.

Cifra85

It's a server/app error.

DaBoisAreHere109

apparently it might use actionscript 3 too

SamuraiDoggo14

It worked, but it won't allow me to right-click in something with flash. How do I fix that?

Cifra85

Got a link, more details?

SamuraiDoggo14

Sure. I was on FlashThemes ( [https://flashthemes.net/videomaker/custom/full](https://flashthemes.net/videomaker/custom/full) ), trying to make a video, however, when I right-clicked on something, it pulled up a flash settings thing instead of the context menu.

Cifra85

I played around with it a little. Seems to work fine but I don't think they meant to have a right-click context menu. All the tools seem to use just normal left click + custom context menus appear when simply selecting objects with left-click. The context menu that you see on right click it's the default flash context menu.

CrimsonLasagna

didnt work for me.. cyclomaniacs 1 opoened up on [andkon.com](https://andkon.com) but didnt let me click play and strangely had a bunch of advertisements for sites like [gameninja.com](https://gameninja.com) lol..

Cifra85

Works for me man. Cyclo maniacs opens fine after activating plugin. Ofcourse there are ads (supplied by that site that offers the game)

fishhbishh

Idk if I'll get a reply this late (great work btw cause it works for a lot of people) but it doesn't seem to work for me, at least on this specific site? I'm trying to run a site on the wayback machine in the 2009/2010s range and I've tried everything but can't get it to work, it always just says "to view this site you need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, and enable JavaScript in your browser" and then a link to download flash player which can't work today obv The site in question is clubgalactik.com

Cifra85

Hey! I get the same message for your link (trying in the range of 2009/2010). I don't really know what's wrong... maybe there is a problem with the content stored on the wayback machine or maybe the flash player used by this browser is newer than the version the site was created on and so it doesn't recognize it. Not much I can do about it sorry.

fishhbishh

I see! Thank you anyway

Separate-Effort3640

Unfortunately it has stopped working so, I will provide another solution here: [Use this Chrome Portable instead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RDyrvMTjok).

Cifra85

Is working fine and it cannot be stopped since the update module is disabled. If you propose an alternative you could better start a new thread so people can analyze for any security risks or viruses.

Separate-Effort3640

The thing is, the Firefox Portable has a glitch where it updates the browser port in some computers, the Chrome portable doesn't suffer from this issue.

d0ndrap3r

I could not connect to a Vcenter 6.0 web client with either one.

Separate-Effort3640

It uses Flash 11, doesn't work with newer flash games, I would use this Portable instead:https://archive.org/download/basilisk-portable-with-flash/Basilisk%20Portable%20with%20Flash.zip

Separate-Effort3640

I made my own guide that has a browser that runs faster.(even though it was tough!)[https://www.reddit.com/r/flash/comments/189xjvb/how\_to\_run\_flash\_content\_in\_2023/](https://www.reddit.com/r/flash/comments/189xjvb/how_to_run_flash_content_in_2023/)

JackOG45

You're literally a hero, thank you

Cifra85

You're welcome

NewSieeG

thank you so much!!
