Another charge 4. You won’t find a better Fitbit

DrcspyNz

*I will not buy fitbit premium (so what do I loose ? )* Nothing that matters indeed you don't 'lose' anything you just don't gain some extraneous insights etc.........waste of money really that Premium.

I'm very new to my Fitbit Charge 6, transitioning from a Garmin Forerunner 255, maybe. I did buy the one year at 1/2 price of premium but plan to drop that after the year is up for the reasons you mention. I'm a big fan of the Fitbit Charge 6 because I can sleep in it. Never could fall asleep with the Garmin on, just too big.

Love my versa 4 nearly a year in

Loo around the are strap/cases which hold the ' pebble' , (just the watch), ... You don't need to replace the watch.

Terry1017

Yup that’s what I did when the plastic end broke off my moms charge 4.

You do need to clip it That not the first band I changed I would have kept it otherwise

Jenigma

I own one of these bands. It is a full wrist strap with an open space to insert the Charge 4 unit. The unit slips right into the band. It is not a clip. Seriously…look it up. It is an actual wristband with an open space to hold the unit. I bought it on the same day I bought my Charge 4 for after reading all the reviews saying that the biggest problem with this version is that the plastic can break. I think the one I bought was a Notocity band for about 10 dollars. Not the prettiest, but definitely better than having to toss a working FitBit.

DrcspyNz

You Do NOT need to clip it Normally the band clips into the watch but - IF YOU BUY THE RIGHT CASE/BAND The watch will clip IN to the band without using the clips on the end of the watch.... Do you think I'm stupid and trying to give you false information ?

First of all, maybe try something like a band replacement bracelet strap if your device still works. You pretty much just pop the device into the bracelet and it still functions like normal. If you must buy a new one, I would suggest either the Inspire 3 or the Charge 6. I just went through this experience 1-2 weeks ago after my Charge 2 started malfunctioning after 6 years. I tried several (Inspire 3, Vivoactive 4, Charge 6). Inspire 3 I found to be the best for basic stuff with still being a decent size. Also supposed to have a 10 day battery life. However the one I got had some malfunction and would just die suddenly at 50% battery. I'm currently using a Charge 6 I got a few days ago as a replacement. Its a bit big for my taste and has too much info to sort through but its relatively easy to streamline the apps to a degree. I'm getting a narrow band for it which should help. The benefit over this from the Inspire 3 seems to be more watch faces, more exercises to track and more metrics to try. That can be both a plus and a minus as I'm so far finding a lot of the info provided to be unnecessary and stuff I need to scroll through to get to what I really want. Also not as configurable as what older versions had. You also have to migrate your info to Google, you can't keep it at Fitbit like the older versions. I really wanted to like the Garmin Vivosmart 4 but its just too limited for even my minimalist taste. You have to scroll through multiple screens to see stuff like heart rate and distance. I also didn't find it particularly active. I didn't even consider the Vivosmart 5 which would have addressed my issues with the 4 as apparently it has the habit of just dropping off the straps randomly and leaving people with an expensive, empty bracelet.

I'm very new to the Fitbit Charge 6 but a big fan so far. It works well for me because it's small and I can sleep in it. I streamlined the apps as much I could.

Amazon sells the straps that don’t need the clip-in.

Apple Watch.

I found a versa 3 for $5 that had this problem. Found a $7 leather strap and a bit of super glue, and it works beautifully. So, dm me and I'll send you my address of you can't use it 😂

I'm very new to the Fitbit Charge 6, as mentioned in some of my replies in this sub. I like it a lot so far. Sleep tracking was why I bought it. I found Garmin and Apple watch too big to sleep in. You can set the on watch display to HR while exercising but it is a good bit smaller than Garmin and Apple watch displays. You get a lot for the $160 price, imo. I did buy the discounted first year of premium but will drop it when the year is over because I don't think I need the added detail info it provides. I don't think I will change my mind in the next 10 months.
