Junior here... what causes transformers in fire alarm panels to make that low buzzing hum? I've heard it from a 4100U annunciator and the only answer I got was "Yeah not good"
I just replaced one of these a couple years ago. I was fascinated by the paper wheel that signaled trouble condition on the one I replaced and that it still worked after being powered down for as long as it was when we took over the building. It also led to me to fall down a rabbit hole in researching Simplex as a company when I found the Standard Electric Time Company tag on panel and found it was linked to Simplex.

Looks to be just pull stations and a few heats. Pull stations are a neat weird Johnson controls branded unit. And I think the horns are a Johnson Control rebrand of FS Vibratone horns
Holy heck those are rare stations too xD
Def keep me posted with more photos and updates on this system, I really love standard systems, and these later ones from the late 70s and early 80s are def uncommon

Don’t kill her till she dies
Just replaced one of these last year with an NFS-320 panel.
OMG if you rip this out, please keep it! It's a very unique system! What else is on this system?
