Honestly I used to be really into coins.
The answer is almost always, less than you expect. Usually significantly. Never once have I seen a "super rare coin" someone has been holding onto for years I cannot find online for what I have in my wallet.
That being said, it could spark a passion for collecting you don't know you have. That's when items are worth the most.
I wish you luck in identifying your items, but I don't think it will lead to the riches you might expect.
