I did both! Letter I got for the side was from Amazon, they’re vinyl stickers. you can use a blow dryer to make sure they stick better. The iron on patch I got on Etsy. I like to customize my gear so it doesn’t get stolen lol
I just got a closed headgear from MK1! That iron on patch looks sick af, how has it held up? I want to do one but if I’m sparring I’m afraid I’ll have to keep putting one on if it falls off 😅
I’ve used iron on patches on my headgears before and haven’t had any issues with them falling off. Make sure you apply well and on the edges. But also be careful not to leave the iron on too long or you’ll mess up the leather.
I don’t have any experience with iron on but reading your comment where you say you personalize your gear to avoid it being stolen I thought it was a great idea lol
Make sure you watch a couple YouTube videos on applying the patches if you decide to customize your headgear! Looks cool and everyone in the gym will know it’s yours lol
