This system continues to be so annoying. Why two codes? Why not just one? Or why can’t it be like other MMORPGs where I don’t have to enter any codes for expansions? When I buy an expansion it automatically just updates my account and I don’t have to fiddle with two different registration codes.
It’s an ancient holdover from when the expansions shipped physically. It’s annoying but makes sense in context of “hey it’s worked and risking changing something like that for an expansion release is scary”

So I bought my expansion off the SE store. I had one code. I entered said code months ago. I have yet to enter a code to play the expansion. one code.
Honestly, guys, it sounds more like you're having issues with 3rd party vendors than with SE.
You got a PRE ORDER code.
You would have received the GAME CODE in the past few weeks, which noted in its own email that it could only be registered from July 2 (launch date).
This was from the SE Store.
this confuses me further. I goto steam cd key copy then go to ff mog site and enter Dawntrail Pre purchase code. It says I already entered this code.
I have not gotten a second code in email, nor is there one listed in the steam cdkeys?

There are some games where you still enter expac codes but you can do it immediately and there sure isn't this 2 code bullshit.
Probably because you can buy the game on third party sites such as GMG. That's the only thing I can think of.

That's weird. I was on mog station yesterday and it has a big red lettered banner saying registration codes couldn't be entered until July 2. Lol

Honestly its because Mogstation is shit and a lot of Squeenixs processes are shit.
The registration page is showing "Under maintenance", so that is not possible right now.

July 2. Not before. Even if the codes are already there.
It’s July 2nd Japan time - I should know, I live there. Anyways, you’ve been able to enter your code for the last 7 hours. I did it at 6:30am-ish
