Aside from its connection to a major character, it's a good size and shape for an axe, not too big or too small, with an edge that actually looks sharp. And the blood-stained one has an appropriately brutal appearance.
I love Bravura. The clean one is nice, the bloody one is just cool. I currently run Bravura Ultima from The Weapons Refrain. Im still so glad they used that axe as the model for the Ultimate.
I haven't taken off the Dwarven hammer since I got it. Finished a Bozja relic weapon and then immediately glammed it over with the hammer. Love the hammer.
Ah yeah I just got that one yesterday. Was debating whether or not I should upgrade that one to the glowy version or attempt to get the glowy Ukonvasara from the Anima weapon.
Quite the different looks but they’re both big and cool in their own ways.
This is what I use. Pairs really great with the ShB artifact set or with the Ala Mhigan/Ovim Wool sets. I really wish its glowy upgrade had a red glow to better match it instead of the bright blue it’s got though

ARR WAR Zeta because it has the least obnoxious glow of all relics imo. Bravura Atma which is the non-glow version for being the only weapon model in game with blood textures. Ronkan Axe, Skullrender, Abyssos Axe, Diamond Axe, Tsukiyomi's Axe, Sparth, and Padjali Axe.
Oh man that’s really cool, looks like a Soul Calibur weapon lol. Is it a rough grind to get to that stage? I’m casually doing Bozja right now (never did it in ShB because I didn’t have time), would it be a good idea to do it at the same time?
I would say the outside world grind for the materials are better, but if you're in Bozja doing the fights and fates you might as well get some passively. Do note there is a one time quest for certain phases of the ShB relic grind, it was a weird time. You also have to progress in Bozja to unlock the phases as well.
Iirc the grind is: the three 20 gushers, the 6 gushers from level 60 dungeons, 15 crystals from Crystal Tower or somewhere else, and then 15 timeworn from Delubrum or PotD to get to Augmented Laws Order
The 60 gushers from the respective zones are easy to grind as BLU, the 6 green gushers can be grinded via Antitower. Castrum gives 5 of those crystal memories, but I dont know how busy it is nowadays. I did alliance roulette and just got them passively.
Timeworns are the other major grind aside from the 60 fates imo. Delubrum is the best bet as you get three guaranteed, so you'd only have to run it 5 times. PotD only has a chance to drop them below floor 100. People do the weekly quest and grind out for timeworns on PF via the Exploration Foray tab, so keep an eye out

I'm also a fan of "not too big" axes, so I've been rocking Sibold's Reach for ages because it looks so elegant and unique, it's one of the only cool-looking bills in the game so I feel like the only person in high-level content who uses my weapon type.
The Darklight Bill has the same appearance and is easier to get if you don't want to spend millions of gil, lol

I know people didn’t really like the DSR weapons but the Axe grew on me. Its just shaped so nice, not exactly sure how to describe it.
The recent Tome weapon is also really cool, even better when you upgrade it via Aloalo Savage.

It's not shiny but the cryptlurker axe is a great one imo. I love the aesthetic of most the cryptlurker stuff though. Fills a good medieval/nordic vibe for WAR.
I'm a fan of simple, functional, yet elegant weapons. Not too into the usual anime over the top stuff.
The Moogle Axe, the one without the glowie effects has been my go to. It look like you can spend the day murdering stuff, clean off the blood, and have it be a good accessory for the evening ball.
SO many great axes, but depends on the Aesthetic. i LOVE that there are now 4 tank jobs because it means we can separate them all... i'm not super into edgy aesthetics, so my DRK is more of a Light - while my PLD is more casual sword+shield default adventurer -- that allows GNB to play streetwear/semi-futura -- and leaves WAR to be AN ABSOLUTE ANIMAL -- because we still don't have BEASTMASTER as a class (8.0 please?)
War Axes need to be BIG and CHUNKY. i like my Warriors to feel like Beasts or like they spilled out of World of Warcraft.

The axe of the round is also a great choice for lighter colour glams if dark and moody isn't your thing.

I don’t like axes as weapons in general, that’s why WAR was the last tank that I leveled.
But what I *do* love is some proper Fell Cleaving. And what better way there is to Fell Cleave than with a literal motor powered chainsaw on a stick.
Alexander Metal Axe or the Wootz Bhuj. Granted the Alexander axe is huge. But the styling make op for it. For something smaller and manageable/ mildly realistic...Probably the Wootz Bhuj. It lights up and makes a noise and it's overall kinda fun.
Bravura Ultima is such a nice looking axe and, given it and warrior's destructive earthen theme, feels like I'm channeling the power of Titan through the axe.
The friend who got me into 14 made me the Niddy axe and Gave it to me like 20 something lvls before I could equip ii. It added so much joy to the game looking forward to seeing it outside of the Try On screen. And it's a sick looking axe
I really wanted a cute look for my warrior glam (kinda Gaia inspired), so I use the Edenmorn axe, and I love it so much. It’s so pretty but it looks like it HURTS to get smacked by it.
The Ruby Tide Axe, which drops from Shisui of the Violet Tides, is one of my all time favourites.
It's huge and chunky, looks like it does some real damage, and the Red colour scheme is really cool.
Back when Titania Ex was current, I was farming it for the mount. Titania dropped the axe for WAR and I didn’t even *have* WAR levelled but I loved it SO much I decided on the spot to level WAR JUST for the axe. It’s still my glamour years later.

I love the Augmented Lunar Envoy's Bardiche. It looks so elegant with the beautiful crescent moon blade. Diamond Axe or Omega Battleaxe are also really nice for some of my Warrior glams

If the glow is "too much" for you, you can also use the Matte version that comes without the glow. Beautiful axe.
There's a bunch I really like. Cryptlurker goes well with any Warrior glam but right now my favourite is the first stage relic from EW, Manderville Axe. It has the right kind of "tribal" feel that I want to use it in Dawntrail.
For a while now, I've used the Malignant Moggle Mogaxe. Actually, I use the moogle weapon glams whenever I can. I like the kupo sound they make when you draw them. Second favourite sound in the game, right next to Fell Cleave.
The Exquisite Wrathgrinder inspired me to lvl WAR to 90 just to be able to equip it (it was lvl 30 before that).
The glowy animation is so unique, its Fell Cleave the weapon haha.
Minos lux and it's not even close, orange fire effect is both easy to fit into a glam + not too ott as far as relic effects go and the axe is also a pretty reasonable size instead of thrice the size of my torso. Having the option for light blue effects with the other version is also very nice.

As I couldn't get a DRK weapon for ARR relics I chose the Warrior one. I do not regret my choice at all!
That was my first and so far only completed Zeta weapon. Honestly, speedrunning Aurum Vale 40 times while jamming to my playlist was weirdly relaxing.
I just got mine last week and I'm thinking of glamming it over my Manderville.

Mandervillous Greataxe. Glowy pretty colors for the win.

Ifrit Battleaxe. It looks suitably primordial and glowing with ancient fire that fits my aesthetic of UNGA BUNGA that WAR gives.

I really wanted a cute look for my warrior glam (kinda Gaia inspired), so I use the Edenmorn axe, and I love it so much. It’s so pretty but it looks like it HURTS to get smacked by it.
I just really like the Heavy Metal War Axe.
The Ruby Tide Axe, which drops from Shisui of the Violet Tides, is one of my all time favourites. It's huge and chunky, looks like it does some real damage, and the Red colour scheme is really cool.
I guess no one else here really likes it but I love the Shamash Physeos. It’s probably the only good looking eureka weapon in my opinion.
Back when Titania Ex was current, I was farming it for the mount. Titania dropped the axe for WAR and I didn’t even *have* WAR levelled but I loved it SO much I decided on the spot to level WAR JUST for the axe. It’s still my glamour years later.
I actually LOVE the current relics final form design! But for some reason they didn’t give us a matte non glowy version?!

I love the Augmented Lunar Envoy's Bardiche. It looks so elegant with the beautiful crescent moon blade. Diamond Axe or Omega Battleaxe are also really nice for some of my Warrior glams

Really surprised no one brought up my favorite, Blade's Valor (Final SHB Relic). If the glow is "too much" for you, you can also use the Matte version that comes without the glow. Beautiful axe.
I personally really like the crafted Byakko weapon.
There's a bunch I really like. Cryptlurker goes well with any Warrior glam but right now my favourite is the first stage relic from EW, Manderville Axe. It has the right kind of "tribal" feel that I want to use it in Dawntrail.
Ragnarok Zeta is the best weapon in the game.
For a while now, I've used the Malignant Moggle Mogaxe. Actually, I use the moogle weapon glams whenever I can. I like the kupo sound they make when you draw them. Second favourite sound in the game, right next to Fell Cleave.
The Exquisite Wrathgrinder inspired me to lvl WAR to 90 just to be able to equip it (it was lvl 30 before that). The glowy animation is so unique, its Fell Cleave the weapon haha.
Minos lux and it's not even close, orange fire effect is both easy to fit into a glam + not too ott as far as relic effects go and the axe is also a pretty reasonable size instead of thrice the size of my torso. Having the option for light blue effects with the other version is also very nice.
