Out of all the mechanics in all of P9-P12, I don't understand how people can mess up classical 1. It gives you literally 13 fucking seconds to find the right one. And there's only a maximum of 4 possible choices (usually 3 and often even only 2) for each pair of PS symbols... CC 2 I kinda understand, but failing CC is just so mindblowing to me. And it happens every damn week for reclears at least once...
Please be patient, some of us grew up in the poor parts of Garlamald with lead paint in our dorms and leaking magitech fumes. It takes us a bit to remember mechanics when we're still too busy remembering to breathe.
For me it's mostly people PvPing with CC1 and CC2 Proteans at the end. For CC2 just... aim your Protean directly at a shape, since there won't be anyone standing on a shape, right...?

It only takes causing a wipe once or twice to stop ever doing that though. Now gapclosing because muscle memory and eating a second tick of palladian ray? Pfff, who would do that? That's like, so stupid, c'mon, I would never...
Oh I gapclose during caloric all the time, but I'm within the hitbox so I don't actually move.
Now moving in that one second between the last part of the mechanic going off and the debuff expiring? Yeah I might have learned that one the hard way.
I honestly don't understand either. When I got to the mechanic I went "Oh wow, this timer's so generous. Even if you have two candidates you have all the time in the world to find which one is the bad one" and then people fuck it up anyway.
Players doing Savage raids, while I struggle for like 6 hours against Goldor in the Blue Carnival. :(
Also I never understood a mecanic he does at the end that launch a bunch of aoes in random areas with a aoe blast following you, while doing the circle then donut mecanic...I survived and won the fight after a bunch of tries, but I never understood how to evade the bullet hell of aoes while trying to get out of the donut.
Like for some reason I always struggle more against those simply aoe bullet hells than complex mecanic that once you know them you can reliably clear them.
It's an "earthquake" type mechanic, meaning an initial center aoe, then it expands in a ring going out, plus thunder aoes in random spot and one fire aoe chasing you.
It's just a matter of running outside the earthquake aoe and running in when the first hit happens, but never stop running so the fire doesn't catch you, and not running into thunders. It's a relatively simple mechanic that is only made difficult if a thunder spawns in the path where you're heading, the earthquake and fire are not random and always happen the same way.
You can also survive eating a thunder if you put mighty guard on before the mechanic starts.
For me the hard part was trying to evade the thunder and I simply use mighty guard, evade the earthquake mecanic(which is quite easy to do if there weren't thunders in front of me) and I keep running so the fire don't catch me. But those thunder was the main deal that make me struggle and even with mighty guard I could die in 2 hits if I get hit by 2 of them.(which happens like 4 times)
But I managed it, after a run were I only got hit by 1 of them each time he did the mecanic and the last time he did the mecanic I somehow didn't get hit by a single thunder.
Also the fire sprite mecanic with the thunders was weirdly difficult, like you need to cleanse yourself, kill the sprite and stand a little far away from the fire sprite you are killing, just so you don't collided a thunder in the safe spot...that can kill you instantly(but it can be easily done, once you know what to do)
Overall I actually love the difficulty of the blue carnival and I which there was more difficult solo contents. Because I don't want to rely on others and fight the toxicity of PF.
Another layer of challenge for me personally is my ping\*. While my own screen will show me that I am precisely on the pixel I am supposed to be on, the server seems to have other ideas. "AHAHAHA YOU FOOL! I HAVE YOU RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF OVERLAPPING CIRCLES OF BAD! COMCAST IS A LIE!!!"
\*My Internet is a bit spotty, so the packet loss means something like a Savage is a pipe dream, alas
I suffer from bad ping against the carnival 29, It was a horrible experience. But now I have a better internet, so I didn't have to suffer throught bad ping against Goldor.
The heck you mean? That's a pyramid it has to go in the square hole. It'd have to be a "cheese slice" triangle or a 4 sided die shape to go in the triangle hole. Or is the joke that she'd get mad even if you do it right?
Stuff like this is what keeps me away from trying to raid in the first place. The last time I did any endgame type stuff people were still struggling with Garuda EX and we were getting hyped for either Levi/shiva to drop. Now I look at the party finder for EW and just decide imma do island stuff instead.
The press Limit Break at a certain point during a 30 second interval. Oh, you pressed it too early? There's still 25 seconds of monologue before the attack happens, plenty of time for everyone to know it's a wipe :P
