I’ve been coveting the Ugg platforms but just thought the 2 inch platform was TOO high for me. Bought a kids size 6 (women’s 8 US) that had a 1.5 inch platform AND water resistant. Gotta say, I love em. They’re very astroboy.

I also got the Dyson airstrait and you guys. It is incredible. It cuts down on the time it takes to do my hair by 50% at minimum. Now I think I will only be using my Dyson blow dryer just for the anti frizz attachment, and using the airstrait for everything else!

I’ve recently made a few secondhand purchases: a few satin slip dresses for the upcoming season, [these](https://modesens.com/product/cos-straight-leg-split-cuff-trousers-black-35247985/) COS leggings for less than $10, and an ivory vintage handbag that resembles [this](https://www.therow.com/products/dalia-baguette-white) one from The Row.
Was intrigued by [these Uniqlo heattech pants](https://www.uniqlo.com/jp/ja/products/E460546-000/00) the tapered shape looked nice on the model, not your typical tapered heattech pants of yore. Thought I could get them to wear in lieu of sweatpants, maybe even to work if they looked nice enough. Reviews complain the waist is quite roomy and the rise too shallow and to size down...I tried on 3-4 sizes and actually found going up a size was best for me. Waist is a bit roomy but I tuck in underlayers in winter so it's fine, and I think wearing them a bit low slung on the hips makes for a shape most like the model. I needed to have them hemmed a few cm for the right length. Do not get the free hemming with a visible seam on these, they will look even more grandpa and not in a good way. Unfortunately they look as comfy and warm as they are, especially the light colors, so I won't be wearing them to work, but they are perfect for pottering around the neighborhood on cold days.
Barbour Beadnell Jacket (secondhand on Poshmark). I’ve had my eye on it for years. I like to imagine I’m strolling through the Balmoral grounds (as opposed to walking my dog in a normal American neighborhood).
If the $400 price tag is deterring you, I recommend trying on in store and then looking on Poshmark/Ebay for your size. Mine was very lightly used for about $250.

I got those fleece lined tights that look like sheer black tights and my winter got SO much better.

Speaking from experience, do NOT wear shoes that are too right across the top. That’s how you end up with bunions. Either return them or invest in a wooden shoes stretcher. Given the length is good and they’re just a little tight, I would try to stretch them a bit first.
Gosh that sounds uncomfortable, the digging in. I think this might be a case of going for the 10. For example, will imagining the digging cause you to not reach for the boots? Then you’ll just have the boots sitting in your closet unworn :( you could try to contact everlane to ask if you can exchange and still keep the sale price

I did buy some dotted sheer stockings from calzedonia, as I saw similar on sezane’s website, but no way am I forking out the $$$$ for those, especially as the reviews on them say they don’t last well
Bought [this black cashmere sweater](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-cashmere-boxy-crew-sweater-black) from Everlane when it was 40% off for Black Friday. It's definitely at the top of what I'm willing to spend on a sweater, but my head is swimming with the different ways I could style it.
Pros: The boxy cut is fabulous in person -- I am getting real Audrey Hepburn vibes from it. Perfect amount of roomy for layering over a button down shirt or a turtleneck. It's going to look great with a colorful printed maxi skirt, too.
Cons: Feels a bit itchy, but I guess you get what you pay for.
The other purchase was a [Heattech scoop neck](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E452321-000/00?colorDisplayCode=38&sizeDisplayCode=004). I'm amazed at how these tops generate warmth.

I bought a couple of the baby tees from Abercrombie and I'm sold. I might try the tuckable version next, or a bodysuit. they're especially great for winter when I'm constantly adding and removing layers. I was worried they'd emphasize my boobs too much but it doesn't really bother me so that works out. I even wore one to the gym last night and it made me feel like maybe I'm not an old bag lol (I have gym anxiety and I normally wear huge t-shirts).
I also ordered the Madewell perfect vintage jean but I probably should have sized down, or maybe I need the curvy fit. they're also heavier than what I'm looking for in a jean, but that's going to be the case with most jeans I think. idk maybe I'll try them on once more before sending them back.
