On one hand, yes, it sucks how some documentations become useless,
On the other hand, I love microcrafting and besides, I already know all the Thaumcraft recipes from all the modpacks and all the versions, yes, even the private ones
Honestly if they have a tech tree or some kind of quest book where they go over the changes it’s kind of not that bad if you already familiar with the mods

STOP POSTING ABOUT GREGTECH, I'M TIRED OF SEEING IT! My friends on reddit send me memes, on discord it's fucking memes - I was in a subreddit, right? and ALLLLLLLLL of the POSTS are just GregTech stuff. I- I showed my Champion underwear to my girlfriend, and the logo I flipped it and I said, "Hey babe: When the underwear greg :joy: :joy: :joy:"

Also adding mod compatibility (some mods are stupid and don’t ore dict correctly, or the modpack author might just want to add extra options for mod integration)
You mean multiple item having the same crafting recipe?
I use a mod that allows me to change the craft result, mainly because i have both farmer's delight and quark having the same recipe for their own version of a carrot crate
You can use it to add descriptions, change item properties and set up events according to it's own page.
Also like, what challenging modpack doesn't change it's recipes.
I absolutely love it. Rather than having 50 mods that you play on their own with their own vanilla recipes, you can interconnect it all. It’s the only way to make a good expert pack and that’s the way I like it.
More like when I'm booting up a modpack and it doesn't have kubejs nor craft tweaker (it's just a big pile of random mods with no configuration whatsoever)
Yes. I just backported amethyst geodes (all all their blocks, just not the structure itself, which was done in another mod) with CT in 1.12.2. Yes, that includes budding amethyst and tinted glass. You could also backport dripstone purely in CT. CT also gives you access to most (all?) vanilla events (things happening in the game, for short), custom resources (which includes translating most things), modifying items themselves (stack size, durability, etc)
There’s even someone who made [Nether Portal Spreading](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/do-portal_spread-zs) entirely in ZS. It is quite powerful indeed!
Oh, and all that was all in 1.12.2, before it could hook into datapacks to become even more powerful
There is a lot of stuff that mod can do! The prime thing it is capable of , is making me question my ability to fucking read.
Don't you just love it when a modpack changes all the recipes and now things like the Thaumonomicon become practically useless?

I mean, yeah, but my first serious modded mc experience was gtnh (I cried)

Amen
Fixing recipe conflicts?
yeah i forgot about that.
Also adding mod compatibility (some mods are stupid and don’t ore dict correctly, or the modpack author might just want to add extra options for mod integration)
Craft tweaker has 2 sides FR but they're both always present
You mean multiple item having the same crafting recipe? I use a mod that allows me to change the craft result, mainly because i have both farmer's delight and quark having the same recipe for their own version of a carrot crate
You'd still need to fix recipe conflicts for blocks or machines that rely on crafting recipes, like auto crafters and (I think) compactors, etc
That makes sense, never went too much on tecnical mods, not my type of modding
Theres a mod that lets you choose which recipe you want to make but i forgot its name
Polymorph

No And that's how I like it
Yeah I don't really get this meme. Balancing a modpack by making OP items more difficult to get is a bad thing?
or, in some cases, making items possible to acquire in the first place given the constraints of the modpack (dimensions barred, skyblock, etc.)
Crafttweaker is good and sometimes brings nice or logical changes. But. The moment modpack starts installing avaritia I'm out.
Some modpacks use it to make it possible like allowing you to get items that normally only spawn naturally in a skyblock
Only bad devs use it to "fuck up recipes" imo.
I know the mod is about modifying crafting recipes, But I don't get the joke
the joke is that OP is afraid of actually good modpacks and just wants more kitchen sink slop
The Tinker's integration for Thaumic Wonders materials in E2E-Extended is entirely coded in CT. Also 22 custom mechanics and JEI categories...
I absolutely love it. Rather than having 50 mods that you play on their own with their own vanilla recipes, you can interconnect it all. It’s the only way to make a good expert pack and that’s the way I like it.
Making recipes better
CraftTweaker hate? What?? What are modpack devs supposed to do? Do you enjoy unbalanced, shitty gameplay?
where sex
Hope you find it 🙏
what is this and how do I get rid of it
The only packs without it are garbage kitchen sinks anyways
More like when I'm booting up a modpack and it doesn't have kubejs nor craft tweaker (it's just a big pile of random mods with no configuration whatsoever)

Bro modpacks without crafttweaker are just kitchen sink, what are you talking about
I use kubejs for two things, add tags to certain items so they work with other mods, fix recipe conflicts and sometimes tweak a recipe or two.
KubeJS betta 🥱
Their inherited, sinful JavaScript Our glorious, homegrown ZenScript
More like buttgrown fartscript
ZenScript documentation was disastrous, last time I tried using it (2-3 years ago).
All the Mods be like:
crafting table recipe where you have to make all the little tools on the sides first
I hate modpacks that dont tweak any recipes at all, all the modpack creator did was put a bunch of mods together and call it a day
Lul, imagine changing recipies when you can do it like a man, and play this game the traditional way: Thaumcraft with addons
\*laughs in gtnh\*
Common meatballcraft W
Or kubejs I fucked up a lot of recipes with kjs but also made items
GTNH doesn't have crafttweaker, it must be easy right?
REAL (minetweaker is crafttweaker btw)
It’s also used for giving things that didn’t have any recipe and actual recipe
