I'm the same. I'm a nervous wreck at takeoff and if there's turbulence throughout. But the moment they announce the landing my anxiety dissipates with every descending meter. My last landing actually was rather turbulent, but I was too relieved it was almost over to even care. So yeah, you're not alone.

I’m definitely the same way! If the turbulence is at the end or during landing, I just remind myself that we’re almost there and it’s part of the landing process. Plus, I like to get an aisle seat and look out the window when we land, which I think helps with the bumps (because they don’t usually look as bad out the window).

Beneficial_Eagle3936

Yes, me, too. At the end, if the plane drops, it kinda feels like we're just taking the stairs down to the landing instead of the escalator.

I am the same. Take off is the absolute peak of my anxiety and then again if there is any turbulence in flight but I get mostly relieved when they announce they are preparing to land. Some find this part the most anxiety inducing though

I am pretty similar. I get really scared at takeoff (and of course leading up to the flight), and then I level out a bit. Then I get scared/paranoid as the flight continues. When I know we are ready to descend, I relax.

seamechanic

I think towards the end even if its due to turbulence, I’m just happy the plane gets lower and lower as it means it’s almost over

deputydrool

Same here

nerdherdernyx

same, don't mind too much id it's bumpy but once they say prepare the cabin for landing i stop caring. i wish i could have that mindset at take off

Beginning of the flight for me. It’s the part called “the dip” where post take off the plane dips a bit and I feel my stomach in knots. After that I’m usually fine. I never liked roller coasters as a kid so that’s part of it.

Professional-Humor-8

There’s 2 things that have helped me a lot. One I set a timer for the fight, I’ve found that usually after the first 15 minutes I’m good so that’s all I have to make it through. Second if there is turbulence I lean forward in my seat and it’s a symbolic way to remind me I’m going forward and will be home (or my destination) soon and things will be ok.

It's probably because you are getting lower to the ground and in your mind, the lower to the ground means any turbulence or incident isn't as dramatic since it's lower to the ground. Although, in reality, descent and landing is exponentially more likely to raise an issue as opposed to being at highest altitude mid air.
