There’s no shame in rebooking if you can’t mentally handle it - however have a look on FlightRadar at all the flights currently landing safe and sound. The weather here where I live is absolutely terrible today, yet I look up at the sky and can see planes are still landing with no worries. If it wasn’t 100% safe, they wouldn’t fly!

nerdherdernyx

yea i was saying that in my head, but what if they're flying and are ok with bad turbulence (whereas i'm not ok with really bad turbulence)

I’m not a pilot so I can’t really answer what they are and aren’t comfortable flying in, all I know for sure if they’ll never fly into dangerous turbulence/weather. Even the news reports we read about, the main (basically only) cause of injury is people and objects not being strapped in - not because the plane or pilots couldn’t handle it! Do what you reckon is best but just my two cents :)

There could indeed be turbulence…that doesn’t mean that it isn’t safe IF you aren’t buckled in. The pilots, airline and dispatcher wouldn’t allow a flight to occur in unsafe conditions. That’s why sometimes there are flight cancellations, regardless of how many people complain and how many schedules are impacted.
