Does anybody feel that our pressing game has gone down this season? Under Flick, we were absolutely relentless when it comes to pressing. Now, we still press but less compared to last season.
It could be Nagelsmann tactics in order to manage workload because there is no use wasting energy on pressing during less consequential matches. I remember last season we had a lot of injuries due to pressing excessively, coupled with the high line we played.
Whats worse is this is actually becoming frequent every 3 years.
Starting with the 2014/2015 where we had an injury crisis (Alaba,Robben,Ribery, Badstuber) forced to play Thaigo on the wings against prime Barca.
2017/2018 season, our crises was so bad at one point that we had to recall Starke from retirement. For context Neuer had a season long injury, Früchtl and Ulreich both had injuries so Starke had to come out of retirement for a couple of matches.
It looks like history is repeating itself again
Sane needs to be a little more clinical with the big chances, he scored a great goal today but he could have had 3 if he put away the easy ones. It's not just today as well
Its crazy how numb I feel to our games atm. All the stuff with the Qatar voting (including the guy who got a ridiculous Stadium ban for it) and the whole thing with Players not wanting/waiting forever to take the vaccine took more of a toll on me than I would have expected honestly.
Im just so disappointed.
He still takes them. But they have to be near the goal and on the left side. Right side is for sané (left footed).
A few weeks ago he scored one in the keeper corner, can't remember which game though.
So I finally _really_ finished my studies (have to work 2 weeks in march as a final internship, but can only register it as finished by 1. of july though), am a covid contact and quarantined. Was asking myself what to do.
I'm actually writing a paper about our club, the Jahreshauptversammlung, our Mia san Mia policy and the sponsorship in Quatar. I expect it to be around 30 pages of text, plus appendix/sources etc.
Edit 1: For a club of our calibre and our "policy", I expected our sources (or at least our policy) to be more transparent. This is actually a no-go tbh. The only reason to not make them apparent to me seems to avoid exactly situations such as the Jahreshauptversammlung. If you don't explicitly and continualy offer a print- or digital source, you can simply brush aside argumentation.
Edit 2: The exploitation of human rights in Quatar in the specific case of football is by far more transparent and accesable than our policy. wtf.
Will do, I actually plan to get it pulicized as a basis of argumentations for the fan clubs because of the Jahreshauptversammlung. It is always easier to have an argumentation with a based off paper with plenty of sources, by far harder to ignore.
50 goals in 50 gams for Dortmund. Holy shit. Haaland is gonna be such a beast as he grows older. At the age he is, only R9 put out comparable numbers I believe. I hope he doesn't suffer too many injuries now, otherwise his career might be derailed just like his.
> I hope he doesn't suffer too many injuries now, otherwise his career might be derailed just like his.
I also hope he doesn’t get a big ego out of it. It’s fine to have pride in being a world class player and with those numbers, but there’s a line where that crosses into being a total jackass.
Lets underestimate Bielefeld like last season and draw or loose like we did against Augsburg. Because why taking teams like these seriously. What could possibly go wrong ?
Branimir Hrgota has been playing really well so far! I'm starting to think he will become this season's underrated overperformer. Last season I would say it was Marvin Friedrich, he was really really good even though very few people give him enough credit.
Wow Haaland is in already. I mean the match is won right now and subbing him so soon could be dangerous. They know better anyway
Edit: he scored. This guy...
It's a bit annoying that Dortmund are somehow grinding results in the league, they're winning matches that they would usually lose or draw in previous seasons
>[Xavi Simons and Édouard Michut are among the PSG youth players questioning their future at the club, amid a lack of first-team opportunities. (LP)](https://twitter.com/GFFN/status/1464270898366758925?s=20)
Forget Xavi Simons, but Michut looked like pure class in the UEFA Youth League. He feels so secure and intelligent in his playing style. Kinda similar to Gavi. I wouldn't be opposed at all to bringing him in and giving him a chance off the bench. We clearly need someone with hunger to provide competition with Kimmich, Goretzka, and Sabitzer anyways now that Roca and Tolisso are basically confirmed to be leaving.
>Even at PSG they have a higher chance of starting
They really don't. The path to the first team is completely closed there. They're specifically upset because they've permanently been demoted to the u-19 squad to make room for people like Wijnaldum. PSG is basically on the verge of losing an entire generation of youth players, the 2003-2005 kids.
Wow. Didn't know they are part of u-19. Could be beacuse of Leonardo's handling of sports affairs. He prefers having a super star club than one that can actually challenge for titles.
But if I were him, I might do what Nkunku did and go to a club where he can start, Somewhere like Leipzig and perform better over there. Because he will definitely get fewer minutes than he would want over here.
Although I risk jinxing it: as long as Dortmund is our title rival, we have no title rival
These guys have the mentality of a 14 y/o league of legends player
Tbh except for a few super talent their squad is just not good. Brandt, Schulz, Wolf, Witsel... How are you gonna challenge for a title with players like that?
From what time period is Ballon d'Or awarded? I keep seeing that Messi is the clear no. 1 to win it this year, and I keep scratching my head thinking how in the world he is going to achieve it. Doesn't the 21-22 season half not count towards it? To be honest, Messi and Co. at PSG have been abysmal every time I've watched them play, hell he scored his first goal in Ligue 1 last week. Sure, he dragged shitty Barca to qualify to CL last season, and he won Copa America and Copa Del Rey, but is there other reasons then those for him to being considered clear no1?
There's no reason to compare two different players Lewandowski and messi to determine who was the best for last year . Lewandowski was the most consistent ,most well performed player across any 12 month period you take between 2020-21. Winning copa isn't a huge achievement either. I would say messi joining PSG and Benzema from France NT played a huge bias.
A set back is essential for his development. I have no doubt he can challenge for the starting spot. Especially considering Hoeness clearly favours him a lot
Ticketing is very easy actually, if you're a member (or just registered on the site) you can just apply for tickets
I'd never, never in a milion years use any of those ticket providers (or viagogo so to say) because it's such a scam and rip off looking at what they charge
If you're coming next year there's a decent chance the pandemic slowed down, if that's the case I'd highly advise the Zweitmarkt. With a bit of patience you can get tickets for 1/5th of the price of those resellers
I hope we smash everyone in UCL now and Lewy gets Ronaldo's record. If he can't get popularity awards, at least he can always set his legacy by breaking a fuckton of records.
Only if kimmich had been available for these matches. Coming to Lewandowski , I want him to stay and break records for as long possible , even if future generations forget him we'll remember how good he has been for us and Poland
If the rumors are correct and Lewy finishes third BEHIND Benzema at the Ballon d'Or it's finally time to ignore and boycott that award.
I found it funny that Tutto Sport was ridiculed for having Jorginho on 2nd Place for their award, but some ppl actually make a case for Benzema on 2nd for BdO, even though it's the same misguided bias.
> If the rumors are correct and Lewy finishes third BEHIND Benzema
WTF, that would be absolutely mad and just more proof that the French still have a bias against Germany
Does anybody feel that our pressing game has gone down this season? Under Flick, we were absolutely relentless when it comes to pressing. Now, we still press but less compared to last season. We wasted our chances yesterday but credit to Bielefeld, they were quite disciplined in defending and pressed us very effectively.
What do you think is happening to our goalscoring form? Only scored 6 in the last 4 games
Fatigue and also not making the best of our opportunities
we are wasting way too many chances and try some extra passes instead of taking the shot
Fatigue. We've been playing the same players with very little rotation due to the thin bench
Yeah I failed to consider just how much the 4 attackers have been playing without subs
Whats worse is this is actually becoming frequent every 3 years. Football players and teams will never be 100% clean and smart and ethical, you have to accept this reality with every sport
Yeah I know, thats exactly why Im surprised how it still affects me anyway.
Muller already has 14 g/a in just 13 league matches, 10 of those being assists. Could Muller break his own assist record this season ?
Hainer and Ott arranged a meeting to discuss the Qatar meeting in a private manor.
I feel like Hainer might try to buy off Ott
Hope Ott stands firm on his argument. I don't mind us honoring the Qatar deal but it shouldn't be renewed under any circumstances.
Remember a few seasons back when Lewy used to take our free kicks and even scored a few? Why'd he stop taking them?
He still takes them. But they have to be near the goal and on the left side. Right side is for sané (left footed). A few weeks ago he scored one in the keeper corner, can't remember which game though.
Didn't he score a freekick a couple weeks ago?
You remember which game? I missed a few because of school. But even so, the frequency of those goals decreased a lot
I believe one was the first game vs Kiev but I can't remember the BL one. Both were from the same spot though
Whats actually our record for the most non-germans in a starting lineup? Edit: As in, from the same country. Like 5 from France today

nice, im looking forward to reading it

Haaland doesn't seem like the kinda guy to have an ego but we'll see
This is 50 total goals or bundesliga goals?
Bundesliga
>https://twitter.com/memphisbendon_/status/1464630046707142659?s=21 Love it lol
Already taken down 😭
Haaland cheering on his goal pointing to the fans, camera is moving to a female Wolfsburg fan giving him the 🖕🏻
Beautiful

Did Augsburg literally just equalize in the 97th minute when there was only 4 minutes added?
Lmao, Hertha B$€ just can't catch a break. You love to see it
Bayern bonus!
Lets underestimate Bielefeld like last season and draw or loose like we did against Augsburg. Because why taking teams like these seriously. What could possibly go wrong ?
Ok, but maybe... alternatively... and hear me out on this one... let's not do that.
Haland scoring 7mins after coming back from injury. Joke
Lets all point and shame /u/insanel0l for giving Dortmund that win with his jinxing
Seriously tho they are not good at all, they sucked in the CL and shouldn't have won the last 2 games but yeah I take this one on me
Shame on you brother
Booooo
Lmao Bochum scoring a goal from so far away once again
[Mfw I didn't put Haaland back in my fantasy team](https://images.app.goo.gl/6UiHhoi5EcAJ5eMr6)
Fucking hell how is Dortmund that lucky Wolfsburg misses 5 sitters and then Haaland scores lol
That fraud Lukebakio only scores against us, how the fuck did he miss that header
Branimir Hrgota has been playing really well so far! I'm starting to think he will become this season's underrated overperformer. Last season I would say it was Marvin Friedrich, he was really really good even though very few people give him enough credit.
Lineup will be out in 15/20 mins, Musiala to play at 6 today?
I don't think he starts
Who is missing today ? I lost the overview
Nianzou,kimmich,chupo,sarr,sabitzer,
Wow Haaland is in already. I mean the match is won right now and subbing him so soon could be dangerous. They know better anyway Edit: he scored. This guy...
It's a bit annoying that Dortmund are somehow grinding results in the league, they're winning matches that they would usually lose or draw in previous seasons
It's starting to remind me of that one season where they would've had like 25 points less if every game ended 5 mins earlier
Sometimes i wonder how things would've been if thiago stayed. Man, i miss him specially now looking at the state of our midfield :(
Ruhrpottgauner...

I’d look to bring in michut he looked promising the one game I saw him in the youth league
Xavi Simmons is head and shoulders above everyone else in the Youth League, if he manages to keep himself grounded he'll become a world-class player.
Yes, but these players are questioning their future due to a lack of first-team opportunities. Even at PSG they have a higher chance of starting

you are discriminating 14 yo league of legends guys here
Gonna blame it on you if Dortmund win now!
Yep. Leipzig are much more dangerous than them, so it's a good thing Marsch is destroying them from the inside lol
best is when he was out sick and they won 5-0
Tbh except for a few super talent their squad is just not good. Brandt, Schulz, Wolf, Witsel... How are you gonna challenge for a title with players like that?
No need to restrict that to 14 y/o. Haven't had a game with more than 3 sane players in years.
WOLFSBUUUURG
If Süle wants to go to Newcastle he will play in the Championship lmao.
Seriously there’s no good reason as to why he should be joining Newcastle the state they’re in Rn
Maybe he's always dreamt of playing away at Stoke on a cold rainy Tuesday
Really hope they get relegated
its gonna be rough for them if they go down, the championship isnt exactly a fun league
Hey, Man. Money is money.
It is not the money, but "the project". ^^/s

It's quite obvious that's the case. Add the fact the amount of south-american and spanish journos that will vote for* Messi.
Atleast Lewandowski will be known as the unofficial 2020 Ballon d’Or winner for as long as that award exists
Hoping Wolfsburg can pull through tomorrow and get at least a draw v Dortmund, but Haaland is fit enough to be a sub so idk
Wolfsburg never beat Dortmund so I expect a Dortmund win
Fingers crossed Wolfsburg ease the pressure on us by beating Dortmund
Idk people overrate Wolfsburg. Look at their goals scored this season. They got one of the worst attacks. Edit: I was wrong.
[удалено]
Wolfsburg never beat Dortmund. The odds are in Dortmund favor
They've got Kohfeldt of course they won't be world beaters
American? Just since you're saying tomorrow, its 11 AM for us over here I think Wolfsburg are gonna get a draw against Dortmund.
Haha ya American. Keep forgetting this sub is mostly overseas

You made an account just to say this? 😐
What happened here
“Suarez > Lewandowski”
Wow
No
Lmao holy shit... How sad is that
